Axiom Hotel

Great new (actually refurbished) place to stay downtown San Francisco! Right at the Cable Car turnaround at Powell and Market. Stayed Feb ²⁶⁄₂₇ 2016.
Likes: quiet, useful room layout (big bathroom), great towels, showers made for six footers, Axiom Café staff pleasant the morning I had coffee, nice exercise area with free weights and the latest machines.
Dislikes: not cheap (but not unreasonable given the area)

I realize that the Axiom has JUST opened so I am cutting them some slack on a few key issues that I feel are holding them back from being a «no brainer» option near the center of SF.
Bonuses:
–Free Wifi that was quick and easy to access (although not as fast as they had advertised)
–Beautiful lobby. I loved the flow of the space– not an imposing front desk. Both polished and welcoming
–Very gracious staff. Not everyone has their role down 100% yet, but I wouldn’t expect that at one month in. Everyone was kind, friendly and helpful.
–Comfy beds, beautiful bathroom, great efficient layouts in the tiny rooms made the size work well
To fix ASAP:
–Really disappointing room service! Oh my gosh! Food came in plastic takeout containers and plastic forks which made eating flimsy and difficult. No tray or real silverware/​dishware like in any other high end hotel. Took the wind out of my sails as room service is usually a luxurious treat. Plus the toast and potatoes were cold… I am wondering if they outsource this?
–Freezing cold showers. And this is not just a one-​off; someone in the elevator mentioned it, and out of the five showers I’ve taken this week, four were so unpleasant I had to rush. I may mention something to the front desk just in case they don’t know?
If anything else changes during the rest of my stay I will update the review– but I think there’s a lot of promise here, just some key areas for improvement that give this place a a clunky start.

I feel inclined to write a review. This is an awesome hotel. It’s steps away from every amenities you can possible find. The hotel is brand new so everything smells good. The staff are great and took good care of me during my stay. Just a quick hint; one of the front desk staff his attire wasn’t very professional. His pants is slouchy below his waist and looks dirty. A hotel like this deserves better…

axiom is a great hotel, nice modern space. staff was very helpful. axiom is located perfectly to get everything done & get anywhere in the city. parking can be purchased via valet but it’s spendy, but with the many parking garages you can park for more nominal fees. we will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed at Hotel Axiom for Valentine’s weekend and it was great! By far the best place we’ve stayed at in SF (and we’ve stayed at many different places in the city). The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are super modern and chic. We ordered room service and the food was delivered super fast and it was so good! This hotel is on my top list and would recommend this to everyone, we will definitely come stay here in the future again.

This place is incredible! It’s new so many people don’t know yet but everything is good. Very nice selection of drinks with unique choices, the food is delicious and local. Definitely recommend. Prices are also very good for the quality of drinks and food. Hotel is beautiful and classy.
