We had their food catered to our office at Pramata and it was a huge hit. Especially the beef curry. The basil rice was also amazing as well as the pumpkin curry — sweet AND spicy. Thank you Noor and Ameena! Noor was so sweet when he delivered the food. Great guy.

This is the best halal Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food was excellent and the service so amazing. The young lady who took care of us, Dena, was very nice. I highly recommend this place.

DEFINITELYSTAYAWAYFROMTHISRESTAURANT!!! I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant last night. I ordered a soup which came out to be really sour and we could not eat it. I requested that the soup either be replaced with some other soup or that we do not get charged for it as it tasted really awful. Rather than accommodating the customer, owner choose to claim that the soup is done correctly and that I would get charged for it. Waiters insisted that in the menu it was mentioned that it was sour. I just could not understand how this restaurant could still be in business not knowing customer satisfaction etiquette. Once a customer nicely requests that their food is not up to the expectation, you simply accommodate. Rather, they choose to ruin our night for $ 7.95. I have come here before(about 1 year back) and liked the service and food then. But this has changed. I guess ownership of the restaurant has changed. We did order the same food but it was presented differently, the food tasted well below average. I also do not think they use halal meat either. If they are frugal enough to charge you $ 7.95 for a junk soup, they would not bother to purchase halal meat at a premium. Muslim customers, please be aware and save yourself from a long headache. STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE!

My fam eats halal food and there aren’t many places where i’m from(florida) that offer halal Thai. My mom loves thai food. Im not a huge fan of it but was pleasantly surprised. Very good service, constantly refilling our water ect asking if everything was fine. Food came out really fast. 10⁄10 :-)

I ordered from Bang San TWOHOURS ago, and they brought our noodle soup with NONOODLES. I called 4 times in the last hour and they just keep saying that the driver will get here when he gets here. They also are lying, saying he left 15 minutes ago every time I call. It was so ridiculous and and horrible customer service!

I wouldn’t be able to pick just one thing here. It was all off the chain delicious. We went with a large group and ordered many items off the menu. I want to go back everyday.

This is a decent Thai restaurant. Since, there are so many Thai restaurants in San Francisco, a place like this does not really standout. The Pineapple Curry Fried rice and Super Drunken Noodles are very good. The other items are average. Customer service is friendly and efficient. The restaurant is clean and looks nice.

The best Chicken Chow Mien I have Tried! The spices they put gives it a great taste, & also lots of chicken in it(really satisfying). I was out of town and just drove back with my girlfriend, we were really Hungry so we stopped by there & had a great dinner! Good Service! Amazing chow Mien! Curry’s are so good too! Halal is A Plus!!!

Placed a delivery order, and it took over two hours to arrive. I had to call the restaurant twice, and the person who answered the phone told me it was ‘5 minutes away’ each time but I ended up waiting almost another entire hour. The food was not as flavorful as I had hoped, and I will not be ordering again.

The food is ok, although in general not on the healthy side, and pretty much everything seems to be deep fried and doesn’t feel fresh. The choices in the menu are humungous, and you’ll get lost. Obviously with not being that busy and too many choices, quality and freshness will get compromised. However the absolute turn down for our family was the service. It was not good. No one ever came back to our table to fill water, ask if we are missing anything, etc. At the time of ordering food the guy said I will remember all your orders. But he missed a few things here and there in our orders. We ordered large soup, but we were not given the bowls, and the waiter was hiding in the back for a few mins until we could see him again and ask for bowls. We tried this place two times and both times we experienced less than desirable service. Probably won’t go back again.

So as far as halal Thai, this place is great. Although I’m vegeterian, decided to try it. Ordered to go. The veggie rolls with the sauses were AMAZING! The woon sen salad was decent, I had requested extra veggies. The veggies were soggy and old. Prices and service were decent.

I think I’ve ordered to go from here before, and that was a couple of months ago. From what I remember the food was delicious and gourmet tasting. So I’m not sure if tonight they were having an off night or what. I placed my order for delivery at around 8PM or so and I received an email confirmation that my food would be coming in around 830 so. sometime pasted and I did not receive my food and it was getting close to around 9pm. I did a status check to see where my food was in the process of bring delivered to me. and it said that the food had I been given to the driver and the food will be there shortly. still about 10 minutes later I still didn’t get my food so I called the restaurant and I asked them where is my food and they said the driver will be there shortly Finally when I did get my food after 70 minutes or so after placing my order I started to eat my food and I started off with the salad and it’s got a very bright flavor to it. tangy it’s got a ton of flavor. But the sauce was thick, so I think the cucumbers had been sitting in it for a while. so then I ate the rice and I got the tofu with the peanut sauce and there was steam. The Rice was good but the peanut sauce was very deep flavor next i have the mango drink and the mango drink is awesome very very good and the last thing that I had was the taro the desert it is something that I’ve never tried before and I think it is a very interesting flavor, very good, it’s got a very starchy taste to it and it comes with a really good dipping sauce on the side So like I said I don’t know if they’re having an off night I’ve ordered really good dinner and food from them before but tonight maybe not really. the desert and the mango drink we’re great! so i’ll order from them again but maybe next time I’ll change it to order my food not so late in the night and maybe my food will get to me fresher and on time so if you like Thai food or your vegan I think you should give this place a try

Oh LAWD, this is the best halal thai food place i’ve ever set foot in. I’ve been to Sala Thai in Fremont, and thai buffets in OC and thai restaurants in San Diego as well but none compare to this. There is simply one reason this place is the best: BANGFORYOURBUCK. Large serving of Pad See Ew with 3 Grilled meats: chicken, beef and lamb for…$ 13.99! That is a steal wherever you go. Service was nice, but their food tasted great and was definitely worth it. Would recommend to anyone!

Let’s just be real, The neighborhood is SKETCH. Now that that is out of the way. Go here anyway and order the pumpkin chicken curry. YUM. There was a situation with the crab fried rice… I asked prior to ordering whether it was real or imitation crab, the server says real crab. The dish comes and it is made with imitation but topped with real crab. So I call the server over to tell him we don’t want the dish because we didn’t want any imitation crab and he tries to convince us on how its just mixed in so its ok… uhh no. it was worked out, we went for the pineapple fried rice instead, which isn’t served in a pineapple but was tasty, although there were only 2 shrimp in the whole dish.

Food is decent, but it isn’t fresh. A lot of it tastes as though it was previously frozen and microwaved on the spot upon being ordered. Service here is consistently terrible, it’s all a bunch of young Thai people here on student visas who don’t really care about their jobs. They consistently make mistakes on orders regardless of how clear you are the first few times and if you complain, you will meet Ameena, the wife of the restaurants owner. Ameena is unfortunately a paranoid woman who thinks that everyone is out to scam her restaurant. She seriously needs to learn that her food doesn’t warrant such paranoia and arrogance. There are much better Thai restaurants in the area.

I love the food and I keep going back but THESERVICEISAWFUL. The people that they’ve hired to serve are terrible, they have no idea how to treat a customer. They just sit there and chill. When they come to you, they’re dragging their feet, they’re so dead and lifeless and slur their words. It’s so sad because I’ve met the husband and wife owners and they’re amazing people. I don’t think they realize how the service is ruining the experience. Hope they see this

I’m not sure why this place doesn’t have better ratings but It’s not easy to find a Halal Thai spot in the city that’s worth coming back and we’ve been getting Bang San ever since we moved to SOMA. My husband eats Halal while I don’t so it’s easy for me to compare Halal restaurants to the regular ones and this place is good. The food is flavorful and always fresh not to mention is fairly reasonable. Personal favorites: Chicken Pad Thai(coming from a Pakistani girl– don’t request it too spicy!) Fried chicken over rice Beef Pa Nang Curry(weird, I know but delicious!!) Tom Yum soup(the portions are huge– probably enough for two to three people) We always end our meal with a Roti Paratta which is «Thai pancake» aka a paratha drenched in condense milk. Enjoy with it a cup of coffee. Four stars because if you get your order delivered, sometimes the food does take some time to arrive.

Scheduled food to be delivered at 9:15pm. It’s 9:45PM and still no food. The reviews for the food from here that I’ve read are all positive so I was excited to order. When I called the restaurant the first few times it went straight to an answering machine… finally a guy picked up and he could have cared less. He told me the delivery driver left at 9:22pm… hmm food was scheduled to be delivered at 9:15pm and I placed the order at 6:48pm. I feel like I gave them plenty of time. Update: food arrived and it was amazing. The one star is solely due to the fact that the order was 50 minutes late.

Sketchy neighborhood + empty restaurant during weekday lunch = me having really low expectations… Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the food. I had a pumpkin curry with chicken($ 9– comes with steamed rice) and a cucumber salad($ 2) to go. Both were very good. The portion size for the curry was a hearty amount. It had a perfect, creamy taste with veggies, pumpkin, and chicken. Chicken was on the drier side, but it wasn’t bad. The curry was only a hint of spicy, so that was perfect for me. The cucumber salad was just a side I wanted that would be refreshing, and it was definitely fresh and good. On MOGL(10% cash back program)!
