Bare Escentuals

My first taste of Bare Escentuals and I was hooked! Great service and variety at this store, plus a location that can’t be beat.
They are hands on and will help you find exactly what will work and will please you.

I went here on a very busy Sunday down at Pier 39. When it is this busy, your best bet is to walk down the side where the sea lions are until you get to doors closer to the end. Then cut through to the inside where the stores are.
I was pleased to find Bare Escentuals very heavily staffed. I had never used their products before, but had been wanting to give them a try. I was helped out by a very sweet girl. She even understood my worries about natural hair brushes and directed me to the synthetic alternatives.
As for the makeup itself, I think the application is going to take a little bit of getting used to. I think it’s an acquired skill. I love the weightless feel of it though. I am totally NOT a makeup girl, but I think I can actually get used to this.

I agree that the gals here are helpful, friendly and not overbearing.
Good place to stock up on BM refills, brushes, the latest facial care products. BM is light coverage but it’s all natural and light weight. Makes you really cringe to continue to see pancake faces these days!
Great place to stop in if you’re forced to go to the Pier. Hey, if you’re taking around tourist pals, at least you can spend a few moments for yourself!

The staff here is totally cool!
My first visit here was to get an item for a Unilocal scavenger hunt. I walked right in and was immediately greeted by a really cool girl. I said, «I need to take a picture of you putting makeup on me! Um, lipgloss will do!!»
She said, «Uh, okay?»
She applied the lipgloss with a smile… had her picture taken — totally cool about it! LoL!
I think her name was Naite or Naime or something like that. She’s a really cute girl with long curly dark hair! Ask for her when you visit, because she’s really cool and patient! Not to mention, she picked out a really nice bronze/​brown sugar type color for my lips — which went well over my pink lipliner! =)
I will definitely be back to purchase makeup from there!

Where do they find these evil girls?! I have never been to a Bare Escentuals (hate the name btw) store where the sales people are nice without hissing through a fake smile (usually they don’t even bother to smile). I don’t get it. I am nice. I smile. I say please and thank you. I don’t ask them more than they should easily know.
I give it a star for the product + a star for being able to try the product. I have seriously been to 3 of these stores and always left in a «you won’t get my money» stir to shop online.
