Bay City Bootcamp is a great workout that really focuses on strength training. It’s not one of those bootcamps where you feel like you are going to throw up mid-way through because you can’t breath, it’s 60 minutes of target heart rate work out where you are building muscle and burning calories. Jennie is a great instructor that is so knowledgable about fitness and nutrition. She’s great if you’ve had injuries or helping you to meet any fitness goals you have. The have classes for different levels and they are small so you get lots of individualized attention and can ask questions about anything dealing with fitness or nutrition. I play soccer 3 times a week and the class once or twice a week is a great addition to my fitness routine. I highly recommend it!

I’m just rounding off my 4th session with Bay City Boot Camp and it continues to be a great experience for me. I totally look forward to the workouts that Katy and Jennie prepare. It gets me outside after a day sitting in an office. Their workouts are very well thought out, and utilize a full range of motion from push ups, planks to maneuvering thru cones and markers across the lawn. They change it up each week which keeps it interesting and challenging at the same time. I really like how there are two trainers who are both very seasoned and bring their own styles to training and also offer varying degrees of difficulty in each set so different levels can maximize their time at boot camp. Katy is also an incredible Bulgarian Bag Instructor and incorporates strength training during boot camp which is awesome. Katy and Jennie are energetic, fun people so it is always a good time! Totally worth your hour and mixes it up from a typical workout in the gym and gets you outside!

My wife just got back from attending a new, all women’s boot camp in SOMA. While she is a very active person who commutes to work by bike, loves to hike and swim, the thought of regular exercise usually turns her off. Not tonight! She came bounding through the door after biking back from a one hour workout with two great professional trainers, Katy and Jennie. She told me that the outdoor venue, a quiet grassy park just at the edge of SOMA and China Basin, was the perfect setting for an intense workout. All she had to do was bring a yoga mat and water and Jennie and Katy did the rest. With a twice per week, Tuesday and Thursday, schedule, she feels that these exercise sessions will be the perfect midweek, afterwork pick-me-up she’s been looking for. Why am I writing this review? She’s too busy working on writing a paper so she asked me to do it.
