The people working behind the counter did not even care to answer my questions. Wendy was unfriendly and handed me a sheet of the flavor descriptions when it’s her job to be there! She clearly did not want to be there, didn’t get a smile out of her. Will not return to this location, very disappointed in her service

Terrible service. Was rudely scolded for looking at an item OTC, and then glared at and given the stink eye for«ordering in the wrong place in line». The lady also asked if we’ve been helped and then walked off after we said«No» never coming back.

What’s with the bad reviews? They have bombass ice cream! Creamy creamy creamy and full of flavor. Love their unique flavors, though if you choose the wrong one you might regret… Beware don’t get too big of a size or it’ll be a sweetness overload(unless you have a very sweet tooth). Overall had a great experience even with their customer service!

This location rocks. It was hard to find when I entered May’s from Geary Blvd. I had to ask some how to get to it. After they told. I followed their directions. i ordered an ice cream sundae with chocolate fudge brownie ice cream. It was good. I would come back here again.

Now searching this outlet in Macy’s took me forever. Didn’t really know that it existed down there in the lower level. Anyways once you get there its ice cream world. They have a lot of flavours and lots of paired flavours. I tried the regular strawberry ice cream and it’s way just right.

April 14th is their annual Free Cone Day and IT’S AWESOME! My coworker and I got here 5 minutes before they started and there was already a line. We only had to round 2 corners to find the end. Once they started dishing out cones(12−8pm), things went pretty fast; they had 4 employees behind the counter and at least 2 – 3 watching the line and maintaining order. One employee walked down the line to get donations for a local charity. In return, you get a little tag for a 10% off your next purchase. This location is on the lower level(LL) of Macy’s and is situated by other restaurants. There weren’t many diners inside eating when they started Free Cone Day, so they had a good amount of space for the line to grow. I got the Tonight Dough — vanilla with regular and peanut butter cookie dough. Mmmm…

Coworker’s birthday so we decided to surprise him with a cake. It’s a nice, hot day so we decided on an ice cream cake. Walked to Ben&Jerry’s and chose a cake. It was plain so we asked for writings on the cake for our birthday boy. Said it was going to be $ 5 more. Oh.Kay. Why not? Waited about 5 minutes more or less for the masterpiece to come out(it felt sooooo long) and then paid. She asked if we wanted any toppings, but we declined since we didn’t want to pay more. While we were walking away. We saw the writing that looked. Well, I can’t put a finger on it. See the photo and judge for yourself.

Love the ice cream but the employees were very rude and non attentive. Had to repeat what I wanted like 3 times! Hire people with better customer service.

I love ice cream cakes! Even better if they are free! A friend ended up wining an small ice cream cake(Mint chocolate cookie) for leaving his business card in one of their contest bins. This was definitely a nice treat while having apps and drinks at a local bar. The ice cream had a refreshing mintiness and it wasn’t too sweet. And the cake was a good size. About 6″ I believe. I normally go to Baskin Robbins when I have to grab an ice cream cake, but I may try more of Ben & Jerry’s cakes. I do love their ice cream!

Don’t go here. I went there about 30 minutes ago. The lady working there was sitting in a chair on her cell phone. I ordered my ice cream and she said she was on her break therefore she could not help me. I was shocked if i owned the company i would have fired her. But the stupid government who have ruled in her favor and another illegal would have won a lawsuit filed by some slime attorney I’m sure I’ll get censored as our first amendment is no longer

Seems like a total rip-off. Last time I paid $ 12 for a sprinkle cone and 1 scoop. They were out of most flavors too.

YUM! I don’t usually get Ben and Jerry’s from the store, but I had to stop here. Had Phish Food and Candy Bar Pie(if they sold this in stores I would not be buying Blue Bunny anymore) on a chocolate dipped waffle cone. I wouldn’t come here all the time because of the price, but it was delicious and a fun experience for someone who had never even seen a B and J scoop shop before.

4.8.14 — If you enter from Geary, head down the escalator, loop around and head down another one, and you should hit the«Cellar» level where you’ll find Ben & Jerry’s and a bunch of other places to eat. My friend and I got here at around 12:15PM, and there was already a long line wrapping around. Nevertheless, the staff there today kept that line moving at a very impressive speed. Some of the flavors featured: Cherry Garcia Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Chocolate Fudge Brownie Chunky Monkey — MYFAVORITE!!! Coffee, Coffee BuzzBuzzBuzz! NEW! Cotton Candy NEW! Hazed & Confused(from their«Core» ice cream collection) Mint Chocolate Chunk Strawberry NEW! Salted Caramel Blondie Sweet Cream & Cookies Triple Caramel Chunk Vanilla Banana Peanut Butter(Greek Froyo) Mango Mango(Sorbet)

Awesome location in the Cellar of Macy’s… Get your favorite B&J flavors in a cup, on a sugar cone or a chocolate dipped waffle cone! Such a treat.

Good Ice Cream… Don’t like the recent price increase. $ 5.50 for a cone is too much and not worth it. I will go up the street to the Cable Car Café on Powell where the same cone is priced at $ 3.25.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s kind of funny that Macy’s has random food stores scattered across its floors? This is a pretty standard Ben and Jerry’s, but I like that they offer test flavors that you won’t be able to get most places — I had the spumoni recently(cherry/chocolate ice cream with cherries and pistachios). Another bonus about this location is that since it’s in a food court, there’s plenty of seating while you enjoy your ice cream.

Would be 5 stars, but you have to go into the Macy’s Food Court in order to check it out — wish it was slightly more accessible on the street-level, but that’s ok… delicious ice cream.

It’s the closest thing to work when I’m in an ice cream kinda mood. There’s never a long wait and the girls behind the counter are nice. They carry all kinds of flavors and many of the in-store only ones as well. My favorites are the Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz and the 7-Layer Coconut Bar. Ben and Jerry’s is a premium ice cream so it’s not inexpensive, plus I’m sure the Union Square location(and rent) adds to the bottom line. Overall though, I’m thankful it’s a block away and can satisfy a craving at a moment’s notice. P. S. Thanks for the recent Free Cone Day!

Kudos to B&J on their Free Cone Day Tues 4−12−11. The line was very long at times but went very fast because of the 7 people they had working. Very friendly, effecient and it didn’t feel like a mad house. They also had people working the line making sure you knew what you wanted by the time you go to the counter. I’m a vendor for a company that is on the 1st floor and a clear view of the escalator from UnSq. At one time I saw a pack of 15 – 20 kids come screaming down to get their ice cream. Craziness! I ordered the Late Night Snack(Jimmy Fallon) ice cream. Its vanilla bean ice cream with a salty caramel swirl and crunchy fudge covered potato chip clusters. I am a big fan! I don’t get to eat ice cream very often but I love the mix of sweet and crunchy saltiness! It was a perfect mix!
