Bethlehem’s Place Daycare

We were looking for a family-​style daycare with a safe, nurturing, educational environment, and we found Beth’s daycare after a long search. We could see immediately that Beth loves children, and treats them with affection and respect. She sets clear boundaries, is consistent, provides healthy meals, a TV-​free environment, and daily excursions to the nearby playground or to the library (weather-​permitting). Of the many providers that we considered, Beth was the one that made us feel most like we were leaving our daughter in the care of a trusted family member.
Our daughter is moving on to preschool now, but she was very happy at Beth’s during the roughly one-​year period that she spent there (from age 2 to 3); I know that she’ll miss Beth and the good friends that she made there.

Our son has been with Bethelem for the last 18 months. It was perfect as a transition from our nanny as Bethelem’s daycare is as close as it gets to our home. Bethelem and Sunny take care of the children like they were their own– and makes you feel like family.
Its a great environment where children get individualized attention. They get different opportunities to learn more about their interest. Beth is flexible and accommodates to the children’s needs.
The children go out to the playground, weather permitting, on a daily basis. They also go to story time to the library ince a week. It would definitely recommend Bethelem’s place to a family looking for an in-​home daycare. Our son loves going there everyday.

I found Bethlehem’s Daycare this winter and she was like a ray of sunshine during a stressful hunt of finding a suitable daycare for our family. We had looked at other daycares which were probably fine but were larger and less homey. We were transitioning from a nanny to a daycare so it was very important for me that my daughter got individualized attention and have a home away from a home.
Bethlehem won me over on the first phone call. I REALLY appreciated that while she had space, she didn’t treat her open spot like herding cattle. She is more concerned by the family fit because she really treats her kids as family. Which I might add that we have met fabulous families here and are very saddened that some are graduating.
Bethlehem is a grandmotherly type, if your grandmother is younger and very energetic. Like a lot grandmothers, she is technologically challenged. So, I am working with her on learning how to get email and a little computer training. However, she can text which is helpful.
My daughter LOVES being dropped off in the morning. She and her helpers take the kids out everyday, weather permitting. They have birthday parties and holiday celebrations. We love this daycare because it is the perfect proxy for our home.

We are just now transitioning out of Bethlehem’s Place and we are truly going to miss it! My daughter started here when she was 1 year old, and is now 3 and moving on to preschool.
It’s a very loving, warm environment and truly feels like a home away from home.
Bethlehem is a licensed childcare provider and has 2 helpers every day, all three of whom are loved by the kids. Bethlehem moved here from Ethiopia when she was 16 (I’m guessing 40 years ago?) and is very Americanized! She really is the best — it was so hard to find a good daycare when we were looking 2 years ago, so I figured I’d write a review here on Unilocal to help other parents who are struggling find a good match for their family.
