Bloom Blow Dry Bar

Two stars for customer service and four for my stylist. I booked online. This was fast and easy. I was given the option to choose a time slot and stylist. I chose Tiffany. When I get to salon today, receptionist confirms my appointment asks me if I want something to drink and if I have a preference for a specific stylist. I say I booked specifically with Tiffany and water would be great. Receptionist says, «Ok perfect.» She then asks me again if I want something to drink. I say water. I sit down. Lynn greats me and says she’ll be my stylist. Still no water. The bottom line is that Lynn, even it wasn’t Tiffany, was great. She was super nice, gave a great massage while washing my hair, and gave me a great blowout. The receptionist experience however was terrible. I never got my water, except when I asked Lynn for it. And she should have explained that I would be seeing Lynn, not Tiffany and explained why. I bought a series, so I’ll go back, but I hope I have a different customer experience!

This is my go-​to blow dry place in the city. Not only is the ambiance chic, but the staff and stylists are so friendly and welcoming. They offer you water or delicious coffees while you get your hair done. The hair washing station is amazing! It doesn’t strain your neck like the Dry Bar and you feel completely comfy in their chairs. The products smell amazing. I get to read my favorite magazine on each station’s iPad and I always leave absolutely loving my hair. I’ve also gotten my makeup done several times here and have loved it every time. I’ve never looked better in pictures thanks to Bloom!

Last week I had my graduation and I came to Bloom for the first time. Lauren was my stylist and she was so helpful and patient with me while I tried to find the hairstyle I wanted! She made me feel really comfortable and her work on my hair lasted through the whole night of graduation and the after party! I am definitely coming here again! It’s really worth the money!

I just had my first experience here today. I had been to Dry Bar before. There was no little booklet where you pick out your styles, but when I described what I wanted my stylist (Tiffany) completely nailed it! I also got a shampoo/​conditioning by Ricardo which was one of the most relaxing ones I’ve ever had. I have super long hair so I really appreciate their patience and trying to make my fine hair last for the long run.

I have loved getting my hair blown out here! Everyone here is amazing and a few people that I have really enjoyed are Tianna and Ricardo! Last night I tried something new with Tianna, curls with the wand — something I’ve never tried! I am LOVING the style, however she does such a great job no matter the style! Thank you to Bloom and Tianna for always doing such a great job!

Omg! I love this place! Most affordable bridal hair salon I’ve seen! This place is adorable and welcoming! My wedding is in July and I came in for my wedding hair consultation and Lauren was amazing! She took all my inspirations and created a piece of art! Truly a miracle worker, as I have so much hair. I was in and out within 45 mins and I can honestly say one of the best hair dos I have ever had. I cannot wait for the big day!

I have a membership here which I don’t know why as I don’t come nearly enough. I’ve gotten my hair done by a handful of people there and I really like lauren. I try to get her whenever I can as she understands what I mean by loose curls (messy waves) when I walk out the door. She doesn’t try to make me walk out with tight curls in hopes that they fall later. I don’t like that. I also like Joanna, she’s so funny and I can talk to her like I do with my friends! I don’t like it when it’s completely silent so I liked that she is so personable.

One of the my favorite spots to go to get my hair done! All of the stylists are fabulous and the salon itself is beautiful. I had my bridesmaids get ready here before my wedding and Dawn was an absolute pleasure to work with! She arranged everything and my girls were ready in perfect time and all looked beautiful!

My bridesmaids and I went to Bloom for hair and makeup before my wedding on 3÷5÷16. It was so convenient to have both done at one location and everything was coordinated so we were taken all at once… major time saver! Dawn was very easy to work with and patiently addressed any of my questions. I noticed a bill discrepancy after everything was said and done and she corrected it immediately. The prices were extremely reasonable compared to bridal packages elsewhere. I had Ruby do my hair/​makeup and she was great! It totally stormed the day of my wedding so the girls’ blowouts didn’t last (that wasn’t anybody’s fault, rain would’ve ruined any blowout) but my updo and our makeup lasted the entire night! Thanks Bloom!

Can’t say I’m super impressed with this dry bar. The service is fantastic but I actually had to wait 30 mins for my appointment. Because of the delay, the stylist didn’t get a chance to wash my hair, do a blow out and style it due to a time crunch. The curls actually fell before I even got to the wedding and my hair was straight and crunchy. Pretty disappointing since this place is in my neighborhood. WIll make the trip to Dry Bar on Fillmore next time.

My Go-​to Hair guy is Ricardo! He is amazing with my hair, I always leave feeling fabulous and my blowout lasts a long time. He is also very fun to talk to. Which is good, since he provides good service but makes the effort to get to know you.
Dawn the Owner is very caring and a sweetheart, and Reid the receptionist is very quick and responsive. This blow bar salon is winning!

5 stars for Ricardo! My very first visit with someone else there wasn’t very good. But I’ve had Ricardo do my hair the past 2 times and he is fantastic. He remembered me from 2 months ago and did a great job again. I was even late and he was so great about squeezing me in. I will always ask for him and will be returning again and again.

Great little boutique blow dry bar in San Fran. Went with my sister to get our hair done before her wedding and we both had great experiences. My blow out lasted for days with perfect body and fantastic shape! My gal (Jae?) was lovely and friendly. It’s clean, has great staff, and the décor is great. Totally fair pricing for what they provide, and similar to Dry Bar and other similar businesses.
Parking can be hard to come by, but there is a lot in back if you’re lucky.

The best blow dry salon I have ever been too. I could not be any happier with this place! Props to Ruby because she is an amazingly talented and incredibly sweet!

Dawn the owner is extremely aware of everyone that comes in and out of the salon and really takes the time to show her appreciation and care for her customers (unlike DryBar thats now become a factory-​like place). I wasn’t happy with my blowout here a few months ago because it was pretty much one big tangled dread lock by about an hour after, and I slightly said something at the desk before leaving. Long story short, Dawn personally called me and when I went in this weekend, I went to pay, and was told I had a free comped blowout on my account. AMAZING customer service if you ask me. Very impressive and kind.
Also, Cynthia, my stylist was amazing. So fast and an all around nice personality. She really understood what I wanted, and gave me the best blowout I think I’ve ever had. Thanks Cynthia!

I booked myself and my bridal party to get ready here after seeing how expensive it would be to go with a wedding stylist. Since I was getting married in the city, I made sure there was plenty of time to get everyone done before photos. The nice thing is that since we were ALL getting done at the same time — we were in and out of there in less than 2 hours.
Working with Dawn was super easy and she made sure to accommodate us to the best of her ability. My bridal updo was $ 165 (including the trial) and my bridesmaids got to choose between updos ($ 80), half dos ($ 60) and blow outs ($ 40) which was super reasonable compared to the quotes I was getting from wedding stylists. I would highly recommend this route and am definitely coming back to get my hair styled for other events.

I’ve been a Bloom Blow Dry Bar client for nearly a year now. I work for myself and this is a way for me to pamper myself once each or every other week. Dawn, the owner, is gracious, kind and VERY client service oriented. I’ve had nothing but consistently great blow-​outs from all the stylists I’ve received so I’m a bit puzzled about the whiny-​sounding Unilocal!reviewers who’ve recently posted 1-​star Unilocal!reviews here.
WORD OF ADVICE TO UnilocalERS!: Before you choose a stylist at Bloom Blow Dry Bar or ANY blow dry bar, you may want to inquire as to what the individual experience level is of your specific stylist with YOUR SPECIFIC TYPE OF HAIR. This has helped me tremendously in choosing the right Bloom Blow Dry stylist who, every time I’ve worked with her, I’ve ALWAYS received incredible compliments from my colleagues at work, clients and husband.

I feel bad for writing this review because i know how the tough the salon industry is, my mother has a salon herself. My friend and I had a 4:15 appointment. This was our first time at this blowout bar We were really excited to get our blowout done for a wedding. They were able to take us early. The girls we had were superrrrr sweet and polite! (Although We were not offered any coffee or water from the receptionist)
We asked for the basic big curls. But here’s the thing, our curls were nice when we left. Mine only held up for less than an hour (about 30 min) and my friend’s held was getting straight super fast as well. It was really disappointing for we had paid $ 40 plus tip. Wasted time & money. Not sure what happened. I’ve gotten my hair done before at other places and the curls stayed the whole night. This has never happened to me before.

Hair needs a makeover.
I am a huge fan of blowouts, my thick hair is made for it. The salons around the city do a good job but I never felt «wow’d» after spending $ 40 to blow dry my hair. THAT CHANGED the day I had called and came here for the first time. I came here and met Ruby who gave my hair a makeover. She is on point with making your vision come to life. Volume and curls. Let’s just say when I walked out I felt amazing and everybody at the event was complimenting my hair. It was probably the best blowout I’ve ever had in my lifetime — no exaggeration. I’ve also seen Miranda and she does a great job as well.
This is my favorite blowout bar and ruby is probably my go-​to person.
Will I be back? Yes LOVE IT.
