Easy, breezy, beautiful, coffee cart! Best coffee in the city and this little gem is always a pleasant surprise. Keep it short and sweet, order a late and get out of my way.

this just in: if $ 4.00 coffee offends you, you probably shouldn’t live in San Francisco(and definitely don’t move to Seattle or Portland, either). The coffee here tastes like blue bottle coffee everywhere — f*cking delicious. Not sure what’s with all the old fart trolls — seems like some other local establishment has beef with this kiosk. As a resident of the castro, I am stoked — the food carts around here are the only good restaurants in the entire neighborhood(besides L’ardoise, of course).

This cart is very Starbucks-y in its attempt to override the MULTIPLE local coffee shops ALREADYINTHISAREA. Blue Bottle should not troll next to Muni, here. The spirit of competition is a non-issue– horning in on local businesses is not cool. Move your cart elsewhere– there are PLENTY of corners where local businesses aren’t being harmed by your mobility and attitude. Until you do– I will not patronize your business in other locations– Shame on you, Blue Bottle.

i don’t get it. $ 4 for a small coffee that took five minutes to drip. coffee on united airlines tastes better. i drank half of it and threw the rest out. i’ll take peet’s any day.

Why do hipster drink their coffee super hot? They want to drink it before it becomes cool. Why overpay to be different or anti corporate? I tried it and it was okay. Not worth the wait or price. Some lady asked if they have sugar substitute. The dude who was working behind the counter with hair that hasn’t been washed for 1000 years said we have rain forest sugar. Lady: Ummm I am a diabetic…

I’m a standard Starbucks person. It’s what I’m used to, and it’s what I like. I’m not opposed to trying the local mom and pop shops if they’re close or I’m meeting a friend there, but I generally prefer to go to Starbucks. One local chain I am a big fan of though is Philz. Anyway… I’ve heard all the talk about Blue Bottle(and Four Barrel, and Ritual) and how«OMG, THEY’RETHEBESTETEVERRRR!» so I figured I’d finally try BB. I pass the kiosk every single morning on my way to work, and on my way to Starbucks. I got my standard vanilla latte, and expected a nice, hot, strong-ish cup of coffee(for being a vanilla latte and all.) It was LUKEWARM and BLAND. I literally had to force myself to finish it, and I really, really needed my caffeine fix that morning. Never again. The only pleasant surprise? The price on the menu included(or excluded?) tax, so there was no additional charge.

Caffeinated sales pitch. A good friend was visiting. We walked from the Castro to Dolores Park. Sun was shining. People were everywhere. Blue Bottle was in hand. Should be no surprise he now wants to move here. Welcome home.
