Great antique store filled with unique objects, run by an extremely helpful and friendly owner. Interesting tidbit: owner is developing an app that will be used for antique appraisals! New age meets old world…

My friends and I stopped in to Busacca Gallery while waiting for a table at Zarzuela and were blown away. This is quite possibly one of the most beautiful and interesting stores in the city. Full of awesome art objects and antiques, posters and sculptures. And, everything has a story. Don’t believe me? Ask the owner Mark. Mark takes pride in knowing detailed information about every item in the store. Hearing him speak is a little like watching Antiques Roadshow. And he has a knack for putting seemingly incongruous objects together to make something fascinating or beautiful. Definitely worth a visit, whether your eating in the neighborhood or not.

Ok, this might easily be the coolest place I have ever been in my life. There was such an overwhelming assortment of crazy objects and art that I’m sure if I could have I would have been entertained for hours and probably spent a ridiculous amount of money. Props to the owner, who, when I(loudly drunk) whispered to my friend: «Do you think everything in here is super expensive?», he loudly whispered back: «No, it’s not.»(I wasn’t wearing my glasses and couldn’t see him behind his desk… we’ll blame it on that).

The gallery is a fantasyland of delightful, unusual and rare objects. The owner’s artful soul resides in every specially selected piece. His passion and his taste are there for you to see. Go! Frequently! Every visit is a new experience.

Wonderful selection of unique, beautiful, sometimes bizarre, unusual, rare, and delightful antiques and small art objects. Completely the result of owner Mark Busacca’s discerning eye. He buys what he likes and thinks is beautiful and presents it stunningly in his shop. Check out his web site, too.

Don’t pay attention to the posted hours… it’s not uncommon to find the Gallery open at 10pm on a Saturday night. A fun place to stop after a meal or *ahem* few glasses of wine at one of the many nearby Hyde St. restos. You might be lubricated enough to slide the wallet out of the pocketbook and purchase a charming objet, especially after a chat with the rather eccentric proprietor(and we say that with all due respect and admiration for eccentricity). So many cool things here it’s a bit hard to decide what needs to be liberated to come live chez vous… but again, that’s a good thing.

U can find some of the most wonderfully unique antiques in the city here and know that u are getting what u pay for. Soooo many junk antique store in the city that of course might have random treasure to come across, but when u can go to one place and find endless gems, why go anywhere else? Mark is wonderful, passionate, and knowledgeable about all the pieces he collects. the Price range is all over the page so don’t feel threatened by the beautiful decore of the little gallery on the corner. Check it out… He has some of the most wonderful gifts u can find for anyone… or yourself ;P

Historical Treasure Trove — Art Haven I met Mark Busacca years ago and checked in regularly for quite some time but after a while lost touch. On my way to visit family a friend told me to stop into Busacca Gallery to check out what Mark had been working on for over five years. Let me just say I was pleasantly surprised! Not only is ABBA M.‘s review spot on Busacca has an incredible website launching soon. Stay tuned for a remarkable and unique project! GREATPROJECTMARK! Love your shop with all of the amazing historical treasures from beyond. Date Rating: N/A Pick up Scale: N/A Strong Suggestion: bring a friend here who appreciates beautiful treasures with tales of their own. Disclaimer: I know Mark is a friend but if I didn’t like what he was doing I would just not mention his shop or website at all.

A great new little shop with all kinds of beautiful treasures. The owner is incredibly kind and very knowledgeable on the history of his pieces. you can tell he is passionate about what he has collected. it’s a unique floor gallery that includes modern pieces mixed in with pieces that are hundreds of years old. i went in to purchase a gift for my parents and found a great little piece and a story to go along with it which they loved. He was truely excited about being able to help and appreciated my business. Even if you aren’t in the market I would recommend going by just to admire his pieces.
