Let’s just say the only reason I come here is because it’s included in my SFSU meal plan… Salads are yummy but sandwiches are ok… Make sure to always check the date they are prepared! Also– super annoying how they RARELY ever have salad dressing… really annoying.

I think«Chaos in the Park» would be a better name for this place. — Lines are always ridiculously long, and transactions take unacceptably long as well. — It takes them forever, most of the time, to get items like sandwiches and smoothies ready. — On a recent visit, after waiting forever for my smoothie, they gave me the wrong one. I’d give this place 1 star, but on the positive side… + They have a number of sandwiches, cookies, and cakes to choose from. + Their Mango Tango smoothie is DELICIOUS. 2 stars

Great location to get a bite to eat, and they have some GOOD bagel sandwiches! Give them a shot, however, beware, the drinks are NOT cheap!

Tried the food — still a 2 star rating. I’ve had better bagels. At least it was free from my friend. I don’t care much for this place, even if i’ve been here several times.

Crowded, but not bad tasting. The best thing about this place is that it has starbucks, but I would much rather hit up City Eats and make myself something exactly the same they make there and eat some other food too. I just didn’t feel filled off of what they had to offer me.

Um. what can I say. I’ve experienced the changes of this Café in Mary Park Hall throughout the years. I can’t even remember what it was at first when I was a freshman there living in the dorms? I think it was closed but then soon opened into a salad and sandwhich place… those were pretty good actually. I really do miss the sandwiches here, and they served oatmeal for breakfast! I would give it maybe 3 or 4 stars if they still had that. But anyway. its now my 3rd year at SF state, still living on campus but thankfully not here. I still however sometimes make little trips here for lunch and what not. They changed it to burritos, tacos, bowls, quesdillas, nachos. etc. etc. I guess this is means more quantity but it’s certainly not better quality. The food is «ok» it’s good for when you’re starving. but hey. I cant expect too much from dorm food. Good times. All the employees there are nice though, so that’s a plus.

Once again here I am writing about 3 – 4 years ago on the subject of dorm food. While living there in Mary Park I only went when certain people were working because; A) the quality of food/service depended on the person working. B) Some of them were willing to give away cigarettes which were pretty hard to come by unless you wanted to walk all the way to Plaza Foods in the Villas. Best memories were getting their shitty burritos after a morning class and hanging out in my room watching Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law. Once again, if you live in the dorms you will more than likely have no other choice, but if not, just stay away.

A good place to eat when you’re living in the dorms at SFSU and you’re sick of the dining hall. Well, I’m not sure I stand by that«good» part… sandwiches, tons of cookies, and questionable burritos that you can actually bring with you back to your dorm room if you’re studying. Enough said.
