Susan is incredible! We had a wonderful tasting with her for our wedding cake, and all the samples tasted so good it was hard to narrow it down to just one flavor. She delivered the cake to our reception restaurant and set everything up beautifully. She even had a pretty cakestand that she let us rent for the night. Thanks Susan!

We were introduced to Cake Bloom by WedSpring on Polk Street. We checked out Cake Bloom’s website and knew right away that they would be a great fit for what we were looking for. The photos of Susan’s cakes were to die for and we loved that she uses local, seasonal, organic ingredients. It was music to my ears. After completing a brief questionnaire based on flavor and presentation preferences, Susan set up a fun and delicious cake tasting for us. The rainbow carrot cake was out of this world and we were so in awe about the special ingredient Susan uses to naturally color her red velvet cake. We were instantly sold. Susan created three beautiful single tier round cakes for our wedding. All displayed on Cake Bloom’s lovely cake stands. From the get go, I had provided Susan with a picture of a «naked» cake that I wanted one of the cakes fashioned after with roses, freesia and succulents on top. She pulled it off exactly. Our guests gushed over how stunning the cakes looked and how good they were. My husband and I couldn’t help ourselves and ate our 4″ round carrot cake that Susan gifted us within just a few days after the wedding instead of waiting until our one year anniversary. We plan on ordering a replacement when when we reach one year and highly recommend Cake Bloom to anyone who is looking for a high quality product and an excellent customer experience.

My fiancé and I were recently picking out our invitations at WedSpring this past weekend and we were lucky enough to run into Susan, the owner of CakeBloom. I wish I could transport her down to So. Cal where we’re having our wedding, but I’m definitely keeping her info in my phone for future events because her cakes are SODAMNGOOD. She was super sweet and allowed us to taste two cakes: carrot and a rich chocolate. She uses all organic/natural ingredients and you can definitely tell by the taste. I’m so obsessed — I don’t even like carrot cake and she made me fall in love with this vegetable based pastry. She’s that good folks! The chocolate was divine — very moist, rich and not too sweet. To all the SF/Bay Area Brides out there, please make an appointment with Susan ASAP. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
