I enjoy their Korean delicacies… Might need to try some of their sandwiches as well. Their soups and shakes are ok and they have a wide variety of snacks.

The food here is just not that good or fresh but when it’s raining, it’s convenient and that beats everything when you are hungry and/or lazy! They run out of potatoes early and the only eggs they offer are scrambled. The bagels are basic but the healthy choice is the best of all the bagels I have tried here. The guy that works here is really nice, the women, not so friendly.

Poor service, mediocre to bad food. I’ve been going here for years due to proximity to my office, but it’s just not worth it. My order – which almost never changes – has been botched too many times to count.(I simply ask for – and am charged for – cheese, and almost never get it.) With Good Luck Café & Deli right around the corner(Kearny and Sacramento), there is pretty much zero reason to go here.

This hidden little gem is located on the third floor within a high rise at California X Kearny. Their selection of breakfast as well as lunch is great. Everything tastes great but my favorites are: smoked salmon bagel sandwich, roast turkey sandwich and ramen. They actually roast whole turkey daily and pull the meat off the bones to use for turkey sandwich and no matter what, no factory processed meat can beat such fresh roast meat!!! On a rainy day as we get that quite often in SF, their spicy hot ramen wins my heart. I actually look forward to next rain just because of it.

I’ve gotten breakfast here about half a dozen times in the last couple of months. I like their sausage croissant sandwich. It’s got plenty of cheese and the croissant is usually quite tasty. I’ve also tried their bacon croissant sandwich but I didn’t like that one so much since they basically microwaved the bacon, and that ain’t really my cup of tea. Still, for the fact that my current gig is in the same building and their prices are quite reasonable, I like the California View Café. I’m not sure that I’d trek four or five blocks just for breakfast, but sometimes convenience is worth plenty.

This is definitely one of my favorite lunch spots for a sandwich. They use soft bread, real mayo and GREAT pickles. The deli turkey is always fresh and my sandwich is done in less than 5 minutes almost every time. Yes, this place can get busy, but 90% of the time, you can get in and out pretty quickly.

I only come here because its five minutes from my desk and when I have more time I go someplace decent. Save your self and don’t go here. The prices are high for the quality, the flavor is lacking and the service is horrible and not too friendly because apparently they don’t need your business.

so delicious. cold mornings tend to make me crave yummy warm and cheesy egg sandwiches. yet, working on california makes getting to my old go-to’s(boudin or seller’s) a bit difficult. my coworkers gave me a great recommendation to stop by california view café. when i climbed up the stairs, i instantly felt«at home». it’s another awesome asian(korean in this case) lady run convenient store /deli. they are always friendly, fair priced(cheap for financial) and very clean. for $ 4.11 after tax, i got a delicious egg croissant with cheese and couple huge strips of bacon. it was VERY delicious. the egg can use a little bit more seasoning, but for $ 4 i’m not complaining at all. this is much much better than that posh bagel disaster i had a couple weeks ago. and the croissant was nice and flaky. yum! i was advised to pick up some phrases in korean and share them with the ladies. apparently they’ll love me. and possibly give me free pieces of bacon!

I was ready to rave. Not Cow Palace rave, like those idiots who overdosed on drugs, but sandwich rave. The lady making mine was a machine. Crazy fast. One minute, give or take a few seconds, between me giving my order and getting back a roasted turkey cranberry sandwich. And the effort required skill, as the amount of roasted turkey was so massive it required delicate maneuvering to hold everything together. She rocked it. But my enthusiasm is ever so slightly tempered by the extra charge for a wheat roll. Should be happy they even had them, and yes I realize they are more expensive, but a surcharge is the exception to the norm. Drop it, and in return, they’d get a fifth star. Sandwich lady gets five no matter what.

My first time there… Roast beef, with cheese… Mayo, mustard, and tomato — no lettuce please. At the register — menu indicates one price, but I was charged a higher price. Upon asking, they said because I got the soft roll instead of regular bread. No mention of this on the menu. Only $.75, but really!!! After getting back to the office, I open the sandwich. Lettuce. Easy to remove — but why, when I asked for none. The redemption: the sandwich was tastey(once the lettuce was removed).

I’m livid — They’ve upped their coffee prices now… I can’t handle it. I’m going to have to stop going altogether.

So the New Year is upon us & it’s time when the olé L — B — S issue comes to fore(…again) Being among the camp of those who«live to eat», I seem to get myself into trouble around every year’s end — it’s a vicious cycle! But I luuuuuve the time while I’m getting there! This year’s depravity resolution has got off to a pretty good start & the main reason is California View Café coffee Particularly fond of the Hazelnut & also their Chocolate-Macadamia. Sometimes, I even mix the 2… yup, I’m a wild girl Super-flavorful; super-strong; ZEROPOINTS; no need for sweetener Compared to my most favorite Martha’s Mocha at 4 points, California View Café coffee will have to suffice until which time I may indulge again… please let it be soon!

When I want a sandwich for lunch — which isn’t that often — and I don’t want anything fancy — I come to the California View. Actually I come for one very specific sandwich. It used to be called the Turkey Delight. Sadly they changed the name to something less delightful. I think it is now just called«Turkey and Cranberry». What sets it apart, is that they actually use meat that was roasted on a turkey. And not in some factory somewhere, that more resembles bologna than poultry. I get it on a toasted whole wheat bun. Thanks to some poor mechanical planning, the toaster at C.V.C. is a little too small to handle the bun, so it actually comes out nicely charred(instead of just lightly warmed). Good. Wholesome. Satisfying. Reasonable. Quick. Hard to ask for more in a simple sandwich. But I would never order anything else.

Chicken Salad and Chicken Pesto Sandwiches are pretty dang good. I always get them on Dutch Crunch with extra mustard(make sure you specify, because they’ll automatically go with Dijon if you don’t) The prices aren’t too bad, considering it’s an elevator ride away from me. It would be cool if they had more topping choices on sandwiches(jalapenos, peppers, etc.) Besides those faults, the place isn’t too bad if you need to grab a quick sandwich.
