Most amazing zumba teacher ever!

So, I’ve hesitated for a while to write this for selfish reasons. I don’t need more people packing Carlie’s classes and trying to take my damn spot! However, Carlie Cardona-​Robbins deserves all the accolades she can possibly get so here we go…
Hands down the best Zumba instructor in The Bay! Carlie in synonymous with Zumba… if you don’t know who started the Zumba movement in SF, you just don’t know Zumba. {Read: She’s the OG.} Her infectious energy and professional choreography will have you moving and melting those inches off in no time. She’ll take the time to breakdown steps so that the class moves together and to prevent injury. You just don’t find many instructors who care about their clients as much as she does. I started with Carlie in 2012 and she already had a legion of followers who had been with her for almost a decade before me. When she had to take a long break to heal from surgery, the Zumba community waited patiently. Now that she’s back, we have seen her transform right before our eyes. She inspires us all to persevere through the hard times and to crawl (if you have to!) back to the top just to keep moving forward. And Carlie is definitely back on top!
She’s also an awesome trainer, Insanity & Turbo Kick instructor… with all that beauty, talent, and positivity she carries, this girl can do anything!
If you are looking for a consistent trainer to keep you motivated and moving, try one of her classes. She teaches a variety of classes at FitnessSF, 24hr, & Dethrone Basecamp. And don’t get discouraged if you don’t catch on with the Zumba choreo, the more you come the easier it gets.

Every once in a while, you see 5 stars and wonder if the person or place is really worth the hype. This is one that I guarantee you would have 10 stars if it was an option. Relatively new to SF, I was hoping to find a decent Zumba class in the city.
I have taken Zumba classes with some awesome instructors all over the country. The other reviews of Carlie are spot on. Carlie is a true instructor… a teacher… a choreographer… and an amazing dancer. By far the best instructor I have ever had the pleasure of dancing with… and I have danced with some of the best. Truly inspirational.
Her classes are fun for everyone (from beginner to advanced). She is high energy… and you always leave at the end of the hour knowing you had an awesome workout (sweating from every pore of your body).
Do yourself a favor and make sure you find her classes at one of the locations here in SF (Fitness SF — Castro & SOMA) (24 Hour — Downtown, Van Ness, Castro). It will be the highlight of your week.
You can mix it up and check out her TurboKick and Insanity class at 24 Hour as well as her Cardio Attack classes as Basecamp.
I have to admit… Im addicted to burning calories in the most fun atmosphere possible and she creates just that… each and every time.

100% the BEST instructor in the West. Period.

I have been going to Carlie’s class for over two years now, maybe even going on three years. She is an amazing instructor and always mixes up her play list to keep you on your toes. I follow her from Gold’s Gym, to Studio Mix, to the Metrodome. if you want to burn some calories and have an amazing time doing it then take her class. BTW– her energy is always over the top and it just puts a smile on your face.

There is one restaurant in every major city where all the chefs from the other top restaurants eat. It’s the best restaurant in town and the chefs all know it. That’s the restaurant you want to go to.
Here’s a secret: about 15% of the people in this woman’s Zumba class at Metronome are other gym instructors, here to learn how to dance/​improve our dance capabilities and have a good time. Not necessarily Zumba instructors, but we all know a superstar when we see one.
Find her classes. If you don’t get the moves right away, come back until you do. Dancing takes some practice, but you never feel as free as when you finally get it and can let loose and dance. She’s that good. I never danced before in my life, but I heard about her. I showed up and my first day, I literally stood there for ½ of the class — I couldn’t get it at all.
But I could see how good she was, and so I came back again and again, and finally got the moves. Now, the day before each of the two classes of hers I attend, I look forward to them the whole day.
It may take you a while to get the moves, but you won’t regret sticking with it, I promise. «Changed my life» might be too strong a phrase, but «taught me to dance» — definitely.

I have been going to her classes at multiple locations for two years now, and I always have absolutely stellar experiences. Unlike some other instructors, Carlie moves with her students to keep them motivated. She encourages and reminds us about self-​care, which helps keep people safe. She’s also constantly updating her material so you never feel bored in her classes. Her Zumba slots are packed because she is an awesome teacher!
