It’s pizza from a truck. It’s made to order so you can expect about 15 – 20 minutes waiting time if you place your order during the lunch rush. With decent weather and stuff to catch up on my phone, it’s not a bad thing to be outside for that long instead of in the office. But definitely feels longer than typical food truck turnaround. At $ 20 for a whole pepperoni pizza, it seems pricier than typical bougie personal pizzas. Technically it’s bigger than a personal pizza, but two folks with healthy appetites might still be hungry if they tried to split it. So I’d say it’s more like a 1 ½ personal pizza. Zoe Pepperoni: Pretty tasty for pizza from a truck. Thin and larger than typical personal pizza sizes. The crust is crispy. There is a generous amount of tasty pepperoni that is subtly crispy but not burnt. The cheese and sauce come in modest portions. Hits all the right umami chords. Four slices of a full pie is just right for me, leaving two slices for a late afternoon snack.

DANG. This pizza is ridiculous. It’s by far one of the best(if not the best) pizza I’ve had in the bay area. This is also THE best tomato sauce I’ve had in a pizza in YEARS. Incomparable, really. The only downside is you’ll have to wait a little. There’s only so much a food truck oven can handle when you have a line of 15 people waiting on whole pies! I have to figure out a way to transport my pies back to SJC safely…

Maybe I have a soft spot for food trucks. But this friendly, authentic pizzeria deserves praise. The pizzas are cooked in an oven in front of your eyes and served piping hot in two motions, from the oven to a pan and sliced into a plate to you. They’re generous with the cheese and the grease is visible but in that«satisfying late night bite» kind of way, welcome even mid-day. The pepperoni is spectacularly crispy and hearty in their Zoe Pepperoni slice & you can also order two slices, or a whole pie, with super fast service(just a few minutes to cook an entire pizza, which is then doled out in order amounts to the customer queue). The finger-licking element of Casey’s Pizza is their CRUST and ingredient ratio. Some crusts ruin the pie, either too soggy or too hard, without enough give, too bland or too salty. But this crust has incredible mouthfeel, perfectly seasoned and floured and goes extremely well with the ratio of tomato, mozzarrella cheese and toasted pepperoni placed so expertly atop the cheese which melts yet has an inexpressibly delectable give to it. tl;dr — Fast service, hot pizza, beautiful crust & expert cheese/pepperoni

Short Story: An awesome pizza truck, albeit somewhat expensive if you’re not used to SF prices. Long Story: I’ve been here several times over the last few months and each time I am impressed. I’ve gotten the pepperoni along with the sausage. The slices are really big(think Costco slices) and the ingredients are fresh. The pizza is cooked after you order so it comes out hot. They also use organic ingredients. The wait time is not that long, about 5 minutes or so. If you go after 1:30PM it’s happy hour and $ 1 off. You also get another $ 1 off when you check in on Unilocal! Verdict: I’ll definitely be back!

Waiting for a bike tuneup and randomly came across this food truck in Hayes. We were limited by having to purchase 1 whole pie with 6 slices or a half pie with 2 slices and there was no mix and match. So we went ahead with the special of the day and it was absolutely delicious. There was something in the sauce that was so addicting! It was a simple topping of tomato and basil with fresh corn. The only neg was that we asked for no chili peppers so our daughter could eat it but they were already embedded into the cheese and all the other flavors had the same.

Just ok. I love margherita pizza and will order it at any pizza place. This one was meh. Crust was crispy but too chewy. Sauce didn’t have enough flavor and was overcompensated with salt. Mozzarella cheese was too rubbery. My jaw is tired from all the extra chewing. The guys were quick with my order but will pass on this place next time.

The Zoe pepperoni pizza was fantastic. The crust was thin and crispy, the sauce was delicious, and the pepperoni exceptional. Definitely worth trying and coming back to. Happy hour starts at 1:30 if you want to buy per slice or get a dollar off. The wait isn’t long at all around that time and the pizza came out fairly quickly.

OK, so I am officially renaming this place Sexy’s Pizza. This was the best lunch decision I’ve ever made while working in the FiDi. OMG I am now the BIGGEST fan of this totally awesome pizza truck and I hope more people find out about this gem. After reading the other reviews on here that a pizza takes about 20 minutes to cook I decided to order online. It was seamless. I paid for my meal plus added tip online and received an email receipt right away. I received a text message saying it would be ready in 20 minutes and as soon as my pizza was ready they sent me another text and I walked down to the truck, about a 5 minute walk from my office. When I arrived there was no line. I walked right up to the truck and was immediately greeted by two total HOTTIES who asked if I was«Dusty.» I said yes and they handed me my pizza box and I was on my way. No hassle, no receipt or email confirmation needed, just absolute ease. It was so much easier than even ordering at most fast food joints around here! I must say, these two guys who were cooking and placing orders in this truck were so sexy. I wanted to jump in that truck with them and roll around in some dough! I got back to my office and opened up my pizza box… fresh, hot and super tasty. I ordered the Zoe, which is pepperoni, basil and some spices. I’m a pizza snob when it comes to thin crust and let me tell you folks, this is some good ass pizza. These guys know what they are doing. Looks AND talent… mercy, I WILL be back!!! Please try this place… you will not be disappointed!

Recommendation: Fresh-from-the-oven pizza, but chances are you’ll be waiting a while. Delicious, but not for those in a hurry. Locations: T/Th: Spear and Mission(11−2pm) Wed: Sansome and California(11−2pm) Fri: Annie and Mission(11−2pm) Sat: Hayes and Octavia(12−6pm) I walked to Casey’s today with my coworkers, as we were in the mood for a delicious slice of pizza. It was our first time going, so we were a little bit surprised when the only ordering options were half a pie for $ 10 or a whole pie for $ 18. Tax is included so what you see is what you get for price! The half pie is cut into two giant pieces that lend themselves nicely to folding, and the whole pie is cut into six pieces. There also aren’t that many options to choose from, which makes ordering quick. You can either get the Margherita, the Arugula, or the Pepperoni pizzas(always on the menu) or order the special of the day, which rotates. The only drawback with going to Casey’s for lunch is that you have to wait a while to get your food. When I ordered, I was told it would take 15 – 20 minutes for my pizza to finish cooking. However, this drawback is a side effect of the best feature of Casey’s. Instead of having pre-made pizza and just warming your slice up, you can actually watch your pizza, made from scratch, get put in the oven to cook. This allows for additional customization, if you need it. I ended up getting the special of the day, which was called«Salumi.» It was a standard cheese pizza with slices of salami on it, along with some red onion and arugula leaves sprinkled throughout. I have to say it was quite delicious, and quite worth the 20 minute wait! The crust was crispy, the sauce and cheese were in excellent proportions, the meat was savory, and the vegetables were crunchy and fresh. Definitely one of the better gourmet pizzas I’ve experienced. All in all, this food truck is definitely one that you should try if you’re looking for good pizza. It will take a good chunk of time to get your food, but the freshness and quality of ingredients doesn’t disappoint!

Went here for lunch earlier today and got the Popeye pizza. I think it was a special with spinach red onions, goat cheese and balsamic, sea salt and pepper. Definitely recommend. It took a while for us to get our order but that’s because it was being made fresh so can’t complain there. PS you can get a half 2 pretty big slices or a whole.

Casey’s Pizza amazes. Biggest surprise, very good crust. Soft, doughy and perfectly browned to a crisp. Why is that amazing. Because they make the pizza in a food truck! Think about it. Truck. Say the word truck and you don’t think of pizza. Even if you say food truck, pizza is the last thing to come to mind. Why? Because you need an oven! So the first time I saw Casey’s truck, I almost ordered a pizza even though I had just eaten… but I showed surprising restraint. But the day finally came and I was filled with joy… and pizza. I had the Zoe, lightly sauced and layered with perfectly gooey mozzarella forming a bed for a generous sprinkling of high-end pepperoni slices. I’m a fan of the New Haven-style Neopolitan pizza(look up Pepe’s!), and the fact that they can make such excellent ‘za without a brick oven is impressive. Taking it further, you can order online and 20 minutes later it’s ready for you. I even received a text notice that it was done. With the quality of the 13″ pie, $ 18 for a full and $ 10 for a half is a bargain. Especially with lack of first-rate ‘za in the FiDi, where I can hit ‘em up at lunch on Wednesdays at Sansome and Cali. Compares favorably with Escape from New York, where a 14″ pie costs $ 20. Lunch hours are 11 – 2. There are three other locations: Casey’s is at Spear and Mission on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There’s no legitimate pizza competitor near there. Fridays they set up at Annie and Mission, where there’s a lot more competition. But none with a truck! Lastly, it’s all-day Casey’s on Saturdays at Hayes and Octavia at Proxy, noon-6.

That’s what friends do. Before going to a game, a Fidi working friend shared a sausage pizza with me. $ 8.00 for three slices or $ 18.00 for a whole pie(6 slices per pie) less $ 2.00 after 2 pm. I had it a couple days later, heating them in my oven. The crust was the trendy thin variety and the sausage bits were tasty but not overly salty. Heated some soup and, voila, dinner. It’s certainly not your Costco quality bang for buck pizza and just a step below Tony’s/Zero Zero standards. Didn’t quite have that smoky crust flavor. Hope to try it again one of these weekdays. Certainly don’t mind free delivered food. Subtle hint?!

As a rule I like to research my food truck adventures and Casey’s was no exception. After reading the enthusiastic reviews, I was chomping at the bit to try this little slice of heaven. As the line was reasonable, while the truck was at Sansome and California, I ordered two slices of the margarita. Fresh? Yes Great crust? Again yes, cooked perfectly. Delicious? Not… so much. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but definitely not the culinary enjoyment I was expecting. Flavors weren’t anything special and the basil was a grossly soggy :/ Price? Average, $ 10 for two slices is a little high for margarita but portions are fair. Would I chase down Casey’s again? No. For the price I expect a little more. The saving grace of this truck is that the FIDI is severely lacking in good pizza joints. If this Casey were at the bat, my meal would equal a «single/double» at best. RIP Panda :(

been working in the FiDi for about 3 months now. I been walking past this truck all the time going to walgreens Well my belly told me today was the day. I had to get me some pizza!!! First off let me say. cooking pizza in a truck is pretty freakin amazing. AWESOMEIDEA! 2nd I like how everything is made to order. sure it might take longer but you can tell in the taste of freshness. its pretty damn on point I got the Zoe Pepperoni and told her to add on the peppers! The lady obliged and peppered my pizza very well. The fresh ground cheese on top was a great add on too. My only gripe is the price, but then again its a food truck, I understand. Would i go pizza ham again? YEEEEEE

I never think of having pizza for lunch when I’m working at the office. Seriously. Pizza is something I indulge in when I’m with close friends or just with Jamie W. when we feel a little more than peckish. I guess that’s why I was a little pan-shy to try Casey’s since I could tell it would mean a commitment since the smallest order you could make is half a pie. But I decided to shake my inhibitions and stop at the truck on a Wednesday when it parked on Sansome near California. There were four selections on the menu — Margherita, Zoe Pepperoni, Arugula with Red Onion, and the daily special called the Popeye(photo: ). No drinks, no salads, just pizza. So the Popeye is what I went for: $ 10 for two gigantic slices with mozzarella, spinach, red onion, garlic, goat cheese, balsamic, and a little chili flake. That’s quite a gourmet selection for a truck, but then I realized it was set up with a 1,900-pound, 700 °F Marsal deck oven with a two-inch firebrick hearth. We’re talking about a serious pizza oven on was about a ten-minute wait on the sidewalk as suits on their cells grazed by me with their elbows. At last it was ready in a box that made me look like I should have a six-pack. Not on my stomach, the kind with pop-tops and plastic rings. I took it to an open table at the Embarcadero where I opened it to see it was the thin-crust Neapolitan-style that I prefer(photo: ). It was pretty good and made with quality ingredients but ultimately kinda pricey for what I wanted. I was gnawing on it for a while as workers would stare at my sheer gluttony. I think I’ll go back to my no-pizza-at-work rule now that I fell off the wagon. It just wasn’t good enough for me to break that rule again. FOOD — 3 stars… good gourmet pizza but a ten-buck indulgence should be a bit more than it was AMBIANCE — 3 stars… it’s a truck so this is a moot point(photo: ) SERVICE — 3 stars… took the order and gave it to me, that would be what I expect TOTAL — 3 stars… sure, it’s a better pizza than I would expect from a truck but it didn’t strike me as that great a value

I got to try Casey’s Pizza a few times at Off The Grid Fort Mason. For a Food Truck, their pizza is very good! You have a choice of ordering either a half pie or whole pie. They also offer slices, but I think you’ll get the best bang for your buck by ordering a whole pie. So far, I’ve had their Margherita and the Zoe Pepperoni. Margherita — red sauce, mozzarella, grana padano, basil, sea salt, EVO Casey’s Margherita is a very solid pie. It’s not the best Margherita I’ve ever had, but it’s good quality pie. Very flavorful with right amount of mozzarella and basil and the pizza has a very nice mix of crunch and chew which holds the pie together very well. Zoe Pepperoni — red sauce, Zoe’s artisan pepperoni, mozzarella, grana padano, sea salt, EVO The Zoe Pepperoni has got some kick. A good amount of spice which actually made me glisten. I’m glad they didn’t skimp of the pepperoni. It was worth the $ 17 and if you see the pic, it’s a good sized pie that is even too big to fit in the pizza box! Casey’s Pizza is definitely worth a try if you’re at Off The Grid Fort Mason or if you find them around your neighborhood for lunch. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth.

There aren’t a lot of pizza joints where I work, so when I found out about Casey’s Pizza, I was ecstatic! Every Wednesday afternoon, Casey’s is parked right on Sansome and California from 11am-2pm. You can order a whole pie(6 slices) or a mini pie(4 slices) and have the thin crispy crust pie all to yourself. Their standard pies are the Margherita, Zoe Pepperoni, and the Arugula. They also have a special or two on rotation from week to week. The Margherita is definitely the best for me. The Zoe is good, but after the first slice, it get’s a little salty. Also, if you go after 1:30pm, it’s happy hour, so all pies are $ 1 off! You can also order slices during happy hour if you just want to try a slice. Casey himself works on the truck and interacts with his patrons regularly. He remembers peoples names and recognizes faces. It’s rare that you see the owner actually working on site, so you get a real sense that he really cares about his patrons and just loves what he does. I must say, he seems like a pretty awesome dude.

Thin crust, lightly crunchy pizza served from a food truck. Nice! The Margherita Pizza that had tomato sauce, cheese and topped with one basil piece, was good, but lacked a stamp flavor to its tomato sauce. I wanted the Arugula one, but it sells out fast. Doable pizza, but not crave worthy enough to want me some more.
