Found this place when looking for a spot to watch the Warriors in the finals game 6. Crowd was fun and into the game. Happy hour, buckets of beer for $ 32(serves 6) and pitchers of margarita for $ 28(serves 5). Had a lot of fun, also recommend the tempura tacos.

I started this Unilocal to rate this place. First and maybe the last time I come here No happy hour, not great service and the bathrooms are a disgusting disaster! How do you run a business with such disgust? I’ve seen festival port-a-potties in better condition! The smell alone is awful– completely unhygienic! One of my friends ordered food and I was like HELLTOTHANO! if their bathroom is gross like that how can I be confident their kitchen is clean? Rude girl bartending. Dark hair, glasses she had a ponytail and was very unprofessional. Place is empty and I can see why – you have to pay for music cause they don’t play any Maybe if they improve things like the bathroom and get rid of that stupid girl bartender then I can try it again but not any time soon

One of the last few places in the mission where you can enjoy drinks and food with your kin folk without worrying about yuppies/techies invading your safe space. Affordable drinks– an assortment of $ 7 margaritas that do the job. I personally come for the mango margaritas, but they have like 10 other marg+cocktail+beer opions. It’s chill and there’s usually a bunch of paisas with their family. I like the vibes– no pretentiousness from the space, staff or patrons.

Margarita specials for $ 3 until 6. Yum. $ 3 all draft beers even Ballast Point Sculpin. Tuesday’s are .50 cent wings! Try the Lemon pepper they are to die for. Kid friendly and has Wi-Fi.

Dropped by last Thursday, February 11th around 11:30pm for a drink. We had just attended an event nearby and wanted one last drink before we all headed home. We walked straight to the bar and decided to get Shots and beers. Yes, we ended our night with a shot of tequila and a beer. I guess it was one of their specials? All I know is we had their well tequila and the beer was pretty light. The bar atmosphere was pretty chill. It wasn’t super busy, so plenty of room at the bar. We easily grabbed a spot. They also have a long table right in front of the bar with stools. We were kind of taking up space at the bar and at the table in front before we realized we were blocking their walkway. I’d recommend picking one spot or the other as we ended up being that annoying group. Sorry! Fun place to grab a quick drink. Our bartender was also really nice. We had a good time.

I came to eat here last weekend because we had been all around SF and this place was the closest restaurant to our parking space lol. We were super tired to walk to another Mexican restaurant 2 blocks away so we settled for here. The cashier was friendly and the menu had reasonable prices. The inside of the restaurant was decent. The food was good, nothing spectacular but it definitely hit the spot.

Cava 22 is just OK I would give it a 2.5 stars we went and the food was dry, bar tenders are old and drinks are not that great. They had no Coors Light when I went there and ordered buffalo wings but they had no buffalo sauce LOL. Anyways Mariachis show up and the party gets started… not my cup of tea.

Jamie W. and I didn’t know we had a hankering for margaritas until we accidentally found this watering hole on the way to Aster. We were actually waiting for our dinner reservation since we had more than an hour. Now we were considering the Latin American Club, but I wasn’t feeling particularly edgy, disingenuous or young enough to fit in with the crowd there. We took a pass and decided to sit among the proletarians at the high-top table at Cava 22. There was only one table occupied and a few people at the bar watching the soccer game on the overhead screens. Yes, this was the vibe we wanted. The margaritas are $ 7 at Happy Hour, and they’re big goblets of party-time guzzling. We both got Strawberry Margaritas(photo: ) because we lacked imagination to try anything else despite the allure of Watermelon, Peach and Lime options. We went for blended because that’s my memory of what I used to get at Chevy’s during my twenties. Tasty and pretty darn refreshing. We were getting a buzz, which may explain why we ordered the $ 5.50 Guacamole with Chips(photo: ) before a four-course dinner at Aster. Oh what the hell, it was my birthday after all and I needed avocado with my margarita. No need for me to explain. A month later, after enjoying the three-hour San Francisco Movie Tour, we were feeling a bit parched, so off we went to Cava 22 just as they opened at 5PM. Rather than viewing such a move as a sure sign of alcoholism, we decided to partake with their margaritas again. Still refreshing, their refreshing sweetness required us to order the $ 7.50 Regular Nachos with Chicken(photo: ). They weren’t the best nachos ever, but who cares? They were there to munch on while we gulped our two margaritas in a row. Now I’m thinking Sharetea should offer a tequila chaser to their Coffee Ice Blended boba drink. FOOD — 3 stars… here for the margaritas, the food is decent enough but incidental AMBIANCE — 3.5 stars… pretty spacious for the Mission SERVICE — 3.5 stars… server was quite nice and accommodating TOTAL — 3 stars… I’m not wasting away in Margaritaville, honest

One of the last«authentic» bars in the Mission. I hope they stay and never sell out.

Careful: Adjusted my bill and added $ 2 to the tip amount. I don’t intent on reclaiming the amount with my bank however it’s worth sharing with other potential patrons. Overall, I enjoyed the margaritas and the divey atmosphere but not a fan of their questionable business practices.

I think the place is okay… I order a mango margritta with Chile salt around the rim. The drink over flowed and washed of salt. Instead of salting another glass host brought over more salt

I wanted to review Cavas 22 because I thing is good to spend some night and have a good fun. Mostly on thursday this day you can go and enjoy the karaōke or be part of it. They have good food and the service is ok. The environment is good too. Some days crawded than others. If you want to meet people go Fridays and weekends other days are quite. Have fun.

For a restaurant the food is okay. For a bar the food is amazing. The tequila selection is good, but not that big. Nothing rare or interesting, but they do cover the top 20 or so. Can’t say much about events or music, only been here once.

This place is awesome! Came here on a Friday night had some strong drinks and they played mariachi music. I’m guessing the food is pretty good but didn’t try anything. I like any place with overly loud mariachi!

Was here on a Friday night to kill time so this review is just for ambiance and drinks. Location is prime and the restaurant it self was pretty large. Right when we walk in we were greeted by a mariachi band blasting throughout the place. The music was nice but boy was it loud and it didn’t stop. This is the type of place that when you talk, you yell. lol. We seated ourselves and a waitress came over and handed us menus. We ordered our drinks, along with some waters. Chips arrived and a few minutes later our drinks sans water came out. I ordered the watermelon margarita. It was very good, great watermelon taste. They had a huge array of different margaritas. Chips were tasty, salsa was spicy! It took us asking three times to get our water which kinda sucked. We eventually ordered nachos and they were okay. All in all, just okay.

Great place for taco tuesdays! You really can’t beat $ 1 tacos all night long. The margaritas are also spectacular — strong and tasty just like I like them. The wait staff is friendly and the tacos are delish! I definitely like the carnitas the best. The chicken is a close second and the carne asada is a bit bland for my liking. But for $ 1 I honestly would eat anything. I will definitely be making another taco tuesday stop here soon :)

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants/bars in the city. Why? Simply: Great chips and salsa(the thick, deep-fried sort of chip). Large space(you can accommodate huge groups). Tequila bar(I love you, Tequila). Sports games are on(without the«Bros»). Enchilada plate comes with *actual* greens in the side salad. Proximity(if you love LAC as your end up, this is a stone’s through away). Why not? Mariachi bands in the evening(this place echos…). Food can’t compete with the rest of the Mission’s(sometimes the chips are stale :/)

Sin duda este es uno de mis nuevos lugares favoritos para salir a parrandear con los buenos amigos y pasarla genial; comiendo. bebiendo, y hasta cantando en un tono de alegria y muy festivo al ritmo del mariachi y la bohemia latina.
