Came by on a Saturday afternoon a little before 3. The store was completely closed. No one inside. The only sign in the window was an open sign. Won’t come back to a place that can’t even figure out how to open during their scheduled hours.

A major disappointment. So came by wanting a nice place to sit and drink and thought a cup of tea would be refreshing. So ordered a few cups of ice for all of us. Thought it was a Teavana like location. 2 of us ordered the same tea, so instead of putting more tea leaves in the same pot or making 2 different pots, all the lady did was add more water. The leaves sat in the hot water for maybe a minute. She was in such a rush to make all the drinks to get back to what she was doing online. Well the tea was a major disappoint. The ice tea tasted like seconds of someone’s tea pot. I was paying for ice water, not an ice tea.

Stock: Affordable prices on the basic stuff($ 7 for a packed-full tin of genmai cha, for example), and a very friendly policy on encouraging you to take samples of teas and blends you haven’t tried before. That’s a seriously nice touch you don’t see very often, especially with the top shelf good stuff(they turned me on to iron goddess oolong this way). They also sell some niche items that may not be so easy to find in convenient amounts elsewhere, like plain, dried goji berries – I needed these for a recipe but couldn’t find an affordable place to get it by weight or without added sweetener. Staff: Very sweet, knowledgeable young women. They’ll happily chat with you about what you might like if you’re in and exploring for something new to try. Space: So spacious and bright! They have lots of room to expand if they need to, but for now it’s visually comforting to see some retail that isn’t packed to the gills with schmaltzy impulse purchase stuff. Just the basics and a few accessories.

Delicious teas and way less expensive than Samovar ! Try also the honey from avocado flowers.
