Fairly typical gift shop, but careful about calling and buying anything here. I just stood in line and got to hear the clerk read off some guys credit card number, expiration date, AND billing zip code as a phone order was taken. While I personally didn’t want to write it down or hit the record button on my phone, I can’t say the same for the other ten people in the 200 sqft store.

This is a great little gift shop. Not overpriced, if you can believe! They have really great prints of San Francisco mounted on nice tag board for $ 35. They are dated and labeled as well which is a really nice touch. Some great prints of the Sutro Baths and of course the Cliff House in the early 1900s. They also have Christmas ornaments, lavender sachets, and little touristy items for sale.

Cute little gift shop right outside the big remodeled glass doors. Two nice ladies work in there, and they’re always happy to give suggestions on gift certificates, souvenirs, etc. Don’t forget to stop by!

Who doesn’t know about the awesome Cliff House down by the ocean in san Francisco. Yes, they have an outstanding Champagne Brunch in the Terrace Room with a view to die for! But let us not forget about the Gift Shop! It is amazing too. I visited recently and rented a bike in the Avenues. Took a chilly cruise all along my old stomping grounds and wanted to get some gifts and postcards specifically about the Cliff House. It was a natch to head to the Gift Shop and pick up what I needed. I just love the nostalgia aspect of this place and sure enough the Gift Shop was full of historic memorabilia, unique gifts, coastal and San Francisco-themed travel books. They had a good supply of cool postcards and I bought my daughter a journal with the old Sutro Baths on the cover. I am told at Halloween and Christmas, the Gift Shop is festively and seasonally-decorated. A little history from the website: «The first Cliff House gift shop was established in the late 1800s at the most famous of the three Cliff Houses known to many as the Gingerbread Palace. Though housed in various outbuildings in later years, it was thought to be the largest gift shop in the world during the ‘40s and ‘50s. From the 1970s until Cliff House restoration began in 2002, the gift shop was located in the historic 1909 building where its famous Christmas Shop was a favorite of the locals.» Nowadays, the Cliff House gift shop is in the new Sutro wing and offers a great opportunity for both visitors and locals to reap an abundance of historical lore, cool mementos and a complete selection of great Cliff House gift ideas.
