5 stars for Louie the bartender, he was the sweetest guy makes a mean Red Headed Slut. Chill bar, dark, good drink specials. Photobooth in the back, videos playing good music dancing optional. Nice booths for a group of people. will come back.

Super fun place! Happened to walk in while they had a comedian on the stage and that made the experience even more enjoyable. Drinks are strong and the vibe is fun.

Alright so we bought pub crawl tickets and comet club was on the list. These assholes decided to charge everyone equally even though we had paid in advance. We asked what was going on. They said we are too packed so we are charging across the board. Wtf? So ur gonna charge twice now? If u can’t handle it don’t fucking sign up. Joke of a bar.

There was a guy trying to sell Ecstasy via a note on his cell phone, which he held up whole dancing. Super sketch. Also the DJ took one request from us and had a return of 20 more people joining us on the dance floor… when he played his choices, it died down again. Go to Jaxson down the street instead. That’s where the party is! No Molly and bad DJs there!!!

Someone knocked my drink over and I asked for a replacement. I asked for a replacement drink because obviously I took zero part in this issue. My bartender, Britney, didn’t acknowledge me at all and didn’t replace my drink. I waited by the bar, was acknowledged, and was told to hold for 30 minutes. When I kindly asked her for a replacement drink, she asked me why I was, «crying.» I was nowhere near showing emotion but the fact that I was mocked and jesterfied, extremely offended me.

I had a blast at Comet Club! LOVED the music(top hits hip hop and pop). Dance floor fills up as the night goes on. My friend and I went on a Friday night and arrived before 10pm for free cover. Crowd is friendly and pretty cute eye candy all around(late 20’s-30’s). Dance floor will get wet and sticky from spills. Tip: Watch ur drinks by dance floor table ledge as they can be taken away by wait staff fast.

Ummmmm ew? I don’t know how this place has so many high reviews! For starters I felt like a sardine trapped in a sardine can. Way to crowded. And, on top of that, there was so sort of ventilation or anything! It was humid as fuck, inside. It smelt of sex, drugs, and pop music. Everyone was so fucked up. Spilling drinks everywhere. I don’t want to come back here. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.

I had low expectations but was very pleasantly surprised! What a fun bar/club in the area. There was a $ 5 cover fee, but for a «club» $ 5 is nothing. The drinks were tasty and the bar tenders were really fast and attentive even though they were slammed. One good song played after another. This is a great spot for a birthday celebration with a good group of friends. I look forward to returning.

Is this a great comedy show? Spoiler alert… it is! Nice neighborhood, great venue, funny comics. What more do you need?

I love this comedy show. Comics are funny. Waitstaff is friendly; their pour is generous! As a comic, it’s a great place to work out. As a patron, it’s a great place to watch comics work out new material!

I’ve been to the Thursday night comedy show maybe 10 times and it never disappoints. Most of the comics are great and the rest are still pretty good. The guy that hosts it every week is hilarious. And it’s free, which is kinda hard to believe.

If youre a fan of the ‘alt comedy’ scene then this is a great place to be. All the times i have been there have been a blast. You can really sink your teeth into the grit that makes non-club comedy so fun. It’s intimate, engaging, and an awfully fun alternative to the over-priced comedy venues and bro-filled bars that clutter the rest of the marina. The host is great and the rest of the comics have been a interesting variety of views and perspectives. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for some great, free options in the Marina.

I really like comedy, and have been to a couple of shows. Anyway, the bar is cool, the bartender is nice, and the layout of the place is perfect for a show. The comedy area takes place in a semi-separate area from the TV. Anyway, this show never really ‘disappoints.’

Totally unusually not crowded on a Thursday which was actually welcome because I have a low threshold for crowds. Can’t be sure but somewhat maybe agreeing w the previous reviews that the employees may get hammered on their shifts. Not totally minding that, it’s their life, as long as their service is good and coherent which it was. Like the booths. Drinks are aight

Comet club has great music but the owner seems prejudice and overcharges for everything. They also water down the shots. The owner also owns milk bar in the Haight. Seems as if people want to support the bad habits of money hungry business owners, they can go there.

On many occasions I find myself in this area to try to be on my worst behavior. And most often I end up here. I usually always suggest somewhere else near by because the moment you walk in you get a whiff of congested air mixed with odor and regret. Now it’s not a BAD place. It’s pretty fun with their diner tables and a small little dance area at the end. But it’s just the congestion. It’s well enough to make me shower before I touch my sheets when I head to bed. It gets so stuffy in there. I feel the only air I get Is the door that stays open. But even sometimes that doesn’t help. It also doesn’t help that their bathrooms are extremely small and unkept on their busy nights. I actually got to see this place the other day completely empty on a Wednesday night and without the amount of people there made it a more enjoyable and bearable place.

For New Years Eve, we did a pub crawl in the Marina area. On our second stop we ended up at the Comet Club. When we got to the door, it was around 10:02pm; mind you we were in line around 9:50pm waiting to get in. They had the nerve to charge a discounted cover $ 5 vs $ 20. We had thought there would be no coverage charges thanks to our bracelet but clearly we were wrong. The fine print stated that after 10pm some places would charge covers, so much for having a bracelet. Anyways, the drink prices were standard but after 10pm they raised everything by a dollar. As for the space, it can definitely get packed since its so narrow and not that many seating options. Towards the back pass the dance floor there are a few more booths. Bathrooms, especially for the mens is a little odd and one does feel exposed when using the urinal(sink is adjacent to it). Decent variety of drafts and liquors but service is tough with so many people. Also, it is hard to maneuver your drinks around all those people without spilling. DJ was subpar at best. His entire set consisted of poor transitions/mixes/and song choices. Adding insult to injury, he counted down after the ball drop! He had one job to do and he couldn’t even manage to do that. Overall Thoughts Bad DJ and additional cover charge makes Comet Club not my go to spot for New Years Eve again

Disco-inferno! What a random place in the heart of the Marina district. Everything around this place screams«douche» but no one gives a damn in here! Drinks are strong, music is great and the bartenders are so fun. Yes, it’s dark and reminds me of a 90’s rave, but if you’re looking for a place to let loose, go for it!

Oh man, where do I begin? What the hell is going on in this joint?! Is it a bar? Is it a dance club? I just don’t know… We wandered up to the place early in the night and there was absolutely nobody in the place. We grabbed a bite to eat down the street and primed our livers before making our way back to the Comet to see if anything was happening a few hours later. We were greeted with a small line and prompted to pay a few bucks in cover to the door guy. Once inside the size of the room was immediately apparent. Tiny, sweaty, hot, crowded and difficult to navigate. The dance floor was busy but seemed to be an afterthought. Drinks were served quickly but with so much going on in such a small place, we had to bail out. Sensory overload! It is a nice change for the Marina but it’s sure to only be a guilty pleasure rather than a consistent go-to.
