Cosmo Alleycats

I booked the Cosmo Alleycats for a large corporate event with around a thousand guests, and Noam was the easiest to work with from beginning to end. We also requested swing dancers as part of a package, and Noam took care of all the details. The band and Emily Day are talented artists and exceeded expectations. The performance was well received by the guests, and as an event planner, I give them my highest recommendation.

Emily, Noam, and the Cosmo Alleycats earn their 5-​star rating. We had them play at our company holiday party for ~200 people this month (Dec 2015) and they rocked the house. We had a ‘roaring 20s’ themed event and they fit the bill — wardrobes and music were era appropriate, and they brought ~4 couples of dancers. And they mixed in some holiday music seamlessly. The party went about 90 minutes longer than it usually goes because everyone was having so much fun and now that I’m back at work and walking the halls my colleagues continue to talk about how amazing the band and dancers were. You can not go wrong hiring them — they are amazing musicians, true professionals (friendly, courteous, responsive), wonderful event planners (suggesting dancers to give some lessons and mini performances, an extra horn — all made a huge difference), and they are very reasonably priced.
Finally — you may be like me. No idea where to start in finding a band. Don’t have anyone to give you references. I volunteered to find the band for our company party and started with google searches and help from review sites like Unilocal and gigmasters, etc. Cold call them like I did and you will be glad you found them.

Let me paint you a picture… You have just married the love of your life, the planning is complete, the lighting is romantic as hell, you are enjoying the food, friends, and drinks when you hit the dance floor. You are met with the smoothest vocals, the tightest musical arrangements, and musicians who love what they do, because everything is just MAGIC!
Seriously, I will never forget how perfect and amazing everything was at my wedding reception and The Cosmo Alleycats are the second only to my amazing husband for making our wedding the best and most memorable ever. If I had to plan it all over again, The Cosmo Alleycats would be my first call. Seriously, they could double their rates and it would be worth every cent.

HEED THIS WARNING if you plan to have the Cosmo Alleycats play at your wedding.
1. Your guests will not comment on how beautiful your vows were.
2. They will not remark about how great the food was.
3. They won’t thank you for serving really expensive booze.
The only thing people will talk about after your wedding is the band.
I’m not exaggerating, that’s what happened to us. With just about everyone.
All the other reviews are right on. The Cosmo Alleycats are really talented in all respects. They are skilled musicians, Emily’s voice is outrageous, they adjust to please the audience, they are fun, they are great to work with and they are reasonably priced.
I say this only because I don’t plan on getting married again… Emily, you should charge more.

We couldn’t have been more happy with selecting the Cosmo Alleycats as the band for our wedding. Working with Noam was great and they were very accommodating with our vibe and a few song requests. We had unique processional and recessional songs that helped make the ceremony extra special. When it came time to hit the dance floor, they absolutely crushed it and we had a blast dancing the night away. They are very upbeat with amazing energy and Emily’s voice is really captivating. Would love to work with them again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the perfect wedding band.

The Cosmo Alleycats were a great addition to our wedding celebration. Noam was very responsive via email for all the details. Noam played piano for cocktail hour and we had the 5-​piece band for our afternoon reception. Emily has such a wonderful voice and the song choices were fantastic. We got many compliments from guests. Overall, a great experience. We highly recommend them.

This band is incredible! We just had them play for our wedding and we loved them. They had a five piece band and it was the perfect size for our venue. The price was very reasonable, especially for how talented they all are. Not only would I book them again but I plan to make it into the city to see them play again soon. They absolutely made our wedding and my friends and family are still talking about how great they were. Their youtube videos are a very good representation of their quality.

After checking them out live months ago in San Francisco, we hired the Cosmo Alleycats for our wedding in Old Town Sacramento, and they were just amazing! Everyone could not stop talking about how awesome this band is. They were very accommodating, having fulfilled song requests and helping to make the best musical selections for our day. They are also a full service band (ceremony, DJ, announcements, etc.). Band leaders, Noam and Emily, were just wonderful to work with. The rest of the bandmates were very nice – all professional and very sweet. They even helped out the husband and his band, the Sons of Wax, to play a few tunes for our guests. We would highly recommend them wether it is hiring them for an event or just watching them have fun in a club in San Francisco.

If you are debating between a band and a DJ for your wedding, please take this advice:
Go with a band and go with The Cosmo Alleycats.
I had them play at my wedding a couple weeks ago and they were over the top incredibly. Emily’s voice is truly unique and beautiful. The band members were also perfection. Emily was super easy to work with and very knowledgable about playing at events. She even worked with my brother (in Iowa) to coordinate him and my sister-​in-​law to play our first dance. They Cosmo Alleycats really brought our wedding up to a new level. Please go with them, you will be so happy that you did!

The Cosmo Alleycats played at our wedding in August 2015 and we were thrilled with them! They are great musicians and Emily has a fabulous voice. They work together seamlessly and Emily was prompt and helpful during our months of planning the details leading up to the wedding.
We picked them partly wanting to make sure that everyone would get out on the dance floor and they didn’t disappoint – our parents and their friends loved the band, as did our friends. Everyone has been raving about how great they were and several folks said they plan to come see The Cosmo Alleycats perform in SF because they wanted more!

I can’t say enough about, Emily, Noam and the rest of the band. We had them perform at our wedding in healdsburg, and they completely exceeded all of our expectations.
Start to finish they were such a pleasure to work with. Easy to reach and really helped us bring the wedding to life from ceremony music, cocktails, dinner and dancing! Their repertoire was so fun and appealed to guests of all age (most of our guests were in their late 20s early 30s).
We received SO many compliments on the music and Emily’s amazing voice!

I simply cannot rave enough about this incredible band and what they added to our wedding. They say that music is what people remember the most and now I believe it (well besides the setting and the ceremony) They are classy, professional, soulful, incredibly easy to work with, I simply don’t have one negative thing to say about them. I did not get how we were really going to be able to tailor our music selection so much, until we worked directly with them. About ²⁄₃ of the way through the wedding, I was emotionally done with the formal festivities and just wanted to celebrate, and they carried me through the next two hours of the celebration. I have not allowed myself to dance like that for years, and with them, one cannot help but dance. I have had nothing but non-​stop compliments about them!

We had the Cosmo Alley Cats play the ceremony and reception music at our wedding in Lake Tahoe and they ABSOLUTELY ROCKED! People were on the dance floor all evening and they were gracious enough to accommodate two of our friends who performed with them! Noam and Emily were so easy to work with, were extremely responsive, and even accommodated our song requests. It’s only been a week after our wedding and a few of our local SF friends are already making plans to see them again at Le Colonial. Their sound and professionalism truly helped make our wedding amazing!

We loved Emily and the Cosmo Alleycats! The band performed at a nice cocktail party hosted at Trou Normand and did a perfect job of fitting in as fun, entertaining and beautiful background music. We had a mixed bag of attendees and I heard all amazing things at the end of the night. Everyone loved the bands style, sound and interactions with the crowd.
Hoping to hire them again in the future. They were fantastic! :)

Discovered Cosmo Alleycats tonight and WOW! She has an amazeballs voice and we had so much fun.

I hired the Cosmo Alley Cats to perform for my company’s annual After Tax Season party– the firm’s biggest party of the year as those of us in the accounting world know. They were the absolute perfect choice for our 80-​person party, including a wide range of folks from their early 20s to upper 60s. As I am getting feedback from our event this past Saturday night, it seems everyone is in agreement– The Cosmo Alley Cats *made* our party!
The music got everyone moving, and the band played old school hits and as well as recent covers in a vintage style. I noticed people singing along all night, and there was an endless stream of people on the dance floor (myself included!) for the whole 3.5 hours that the band was with us. Not only is their style vintage and unique, but each member of this band is fantastic; Emily with her magnetically beautiful voice, and each of the musicians incredibly talented. It was a delight to look around the party and see everyone enjoying the band. If people weren’t dancing, they were bobbing their heads or clapping along from their seats. Several coworkers have asked me who this band was and where I found them because they want to book them now too. If you are considering hiring the Cosmo Alley Cats for your party, I suggest you do it– they will please the ears of people from all generations, and they will take your party to the next level without a doubt.
Oh, and Miss Emily Day is not only a very talented vocalist, but she is also a pleasure to work with. As the band’s manager, she is thorough, conscientious, helpful, prompt and very pleasant. I hope everyone gets the opportunity with this professional treat of a band!

We booked Cosmo Alleycats for our wedding back in October, and I cannot recommend them enough to everyone. Their energy and dedication to making such wonderful memories is second to none. They brought an amazingly powerful performance that still has all our guests telling us how good they were. 6 months later, we still talk about them and look forward to the next time we can see them play live.

I wish I could give them more stars. If you are looking for a band to play at your wedding or other event, stop looking at all other band reviews because this is the band you should hire. Noam Eisen was my contact for booking the band and he is so kind, gave great suggestions, worked with me around our tight budget, and accommodated all of our requests with great turnaround time. The singer Emily Day has an absolutely breathtaking voice. We were unable to afford the full 6-​piece band, but Noam was able to accommodate our price range by allowing us to book Emily who sings and plays percussion, Noam himself who plays piano and also sings and last minute we added a third musician to play sax, clarinet, and flute. They play a variety of styles– «vintage» dance music including: Swing, Big Band, New Orleans, Soul and R&B, and Motown. It was perfect for our antique– themed brunch wedding. I could not speak more highly of this band.

Saw them in People in the Plazas, and loved it! Looking forward to going to Blondies and Le Colonial and enjoy more of their work!
