Went on Sunday to see this performance in the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. The theatre was full and many people waited one hour before the show to see whether there would be any tickets not picked up and become available. But it wasn’t the case this time. Almost every audience showed up. This performance was a fusion of ballet and Broadway musical show. It brought a lively enjoyment to audience with classic ballet, taps, ballroom dances accompanied by music and songs as well as gorgeous costumes. The stage design was simple and the lighting changed its look by following the theme of each song. The artists were passionately devoted to this 90-minute two-act revue. One of the highlights was the Marilyn Monroe’s recording of ”Do It Again” which also appeared in their poster. A glamorous lady in red was surrounded by and dancing with her admirers with feather fans. The dances of feather were live pictures of trees, halo and wings. It received the most applause of this performance. The visual and audio effects of this performance successfully delivered a cheerful, sexy and elegant extravaganza. The company may attract more audiences to the classical art performance since it gave the slow, sleepy and silent stage with fun and surprise. P. S. The center staff said there were 6 seats left for next weekend in the Sunset Center of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Catch it if you can!
