My student in Japan just got back and noticed his credit card bill for this place was higher than what it was supposed to be. They screw you since it’s an airport. They are criminals.

It’s so overpriced. If you have enough time, try the Japaneses restaurant next door.

Definitely wished I would had entertained the idea of walking around and checking out additional options closer to our terminal… ugh. I stopped here early one morning before boarding our flight to Italy last month. I was absolutely starving and not sure if there would had been better options closer to our terminal. There was also quite a line, which built of a bit of anticipation. The breakfast menu consisted of pre made options such as scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast sandwiches and a small variety of pastries as well as other items. Nothing looked spectacularly delicious, go figure for airport food. I ended up just getting an order of scrambled eggs and two sausages. It was a little pricey hence, again the airport factor. Scrambled eggs were just ok. One sausage was decent, but the other one was horrendous. Not sure where the inconsistency happened here. Ended up just throwing the rest away. Definitely acquiring more patience for future… my tummy can wait for better things :)

Food fair, prices high. Just wait you expect at an airport. Dodge the dolma plate, dolma is like pudding inside it is so mushy and nothing but rice.(Aka generally nasty)

Super rude, food sucks and expensive to boot. Got a food voucher from United. Used it at this place. They un-happily took it. Total was $ 6.49…voucher was for $ 7. «No change back» the lady barked. Whatever!!!

Poor and mean service. Large tea just has 1 teabag so you end up paying 50 cents for a more diluted tea.

The line moves fast here. The owner(I am guessing) yelled(i.e spoke with a bad tone) at me because I asked him if I could pay by credit card. So I handed him a twenty. I wish I had just left this place without buying.

Best, most reasonably priced, food in the airport– and I’m a pilot based there. Great sandwiches. Nice people. The meatloaf sandwich is awesome(but sells out fast… pastrami is a close 2nd), and their Dutch Crunch bread is outstanding(but makes a sandwich big enough for 2, unless you’re a big eater or very hungry.) The fixing choices are great too. Everything you want and nothing you don’t. The sides are good too. Outstanding. I go out of my way to eat here. If you’re in the United terminals and have time, worth the walk.(Klein’s deli and Lori’s Diner are good, too, if you are pressed for time.)

I work at the airport… Had a sandwich here and it was good. Came back a couple days later about 9:00pm and the employee stated they are not making anymore fresh sandwiches. Even though they are open until 11pm… I got the impression she didn’t feel like making a sandwich and tried to get me to choose from pre-made crap… I returned a couple days later at 8: 30pm this time there were 2 employees. The same women claimrd they were not making any more fresh sandwiches because it wad too close to closing time. Needless to say I will never go back.

Dishonest café! I bought a bottle of water or green tea last month there @$ 4. A month later, I accidentally looked up the creditcard statement and found out they charged me overcharged $ 1. Even though $ 1 not a big money but it makes people think them dishonest. I won’t shop there anymore. Another note — don’t leave the«tip» blank if u paid by credit card

SNEAKYWITHYOURCREDITCARD! BEWARE! I bought two pieces of fruit at $ 1.50 a piece. When I went to pay the manager said $ 3. I handed him a credit card to which he sighed at and rang me up at $ 3.90. Basically .$ 90 charge for using credit which is illegal in sf. I asked why he charged me $ 3.90 and he didnt say anything. Avoided eye contact. I asked how much the fruit was and he then said $ 1.75 a piece which still doesn’t add up, even if there was tax. It’s such a small amount of money to steal from a customer… kinda petty actually. Makes you wonder what else they are being sneaky about?

Read the other reviews and you will see that the staff of this place have been told off(probably) for customer service types of things like a cup of water with a meal. The line pace is so fast and the operation set up is very intimidating. I’m not easily one to be intimidated when add on prices and shocking unlisted prices start to be rung up on the register with a huge line behind you and everyone there is watching as the cashier’s pace has your head in a cha — ching spin. don’t let them do it to you. slow it down and if they gouge then walk away without paying. my recent experience on my flights is that the food was fine and no need to get a backup sandwich and sides for over 20 bucks. it’s not going to be any better than flight food.

Food was decent, but they ran out of potatoes and fresh fruit during prime breakfast hours and the disengaged and unfriendly staff were totally unhelpful at proposing alternatives that made sense.

If I could give zero stars I would. I went here at 5AM which is when they open. I took the red eye so needless to say I was hungry. I was told to wait outside while they finished setting up for another 10 minutes. No sweat. I ordered the breakfast platter which was eggs, home fries, sausage and toast — all were served from large buffet style serving pans. I got my breakfast and a few bites in I felt something crunchy in the eggs. I thought it was an egg shell which would have been acceptable. It was no egg shell. I was chewing on a small pebble! I asked the lady what this could possibly be. She said, «I have no idea» and was kind of snooty about it. She was not apologetic. I asked for a refund which was given and I left. As I was leaving I saw the lady scooping more eggs for another customer out of the same pan where my pebble omelet came from. Unbelievable!

This review is for the International Terminal 1 location of Deli Up Café. Ordered a bacon, breakfast sandwich. It had egg, bacon, and cheese on an English muffin. It tasted freshly prepared, wasn’t dry, and actually quite tasty. Far superior to Starbucks breakfast sandwich. The breakfast potatoes were mixed with bell peppers, onions and sautéed in delicious spices. Again, quite fresh. Coffee was blah. Seattle’s Best is no Philz Coffee, that’s for sure. Pleasant start to my trip.

Is a strong coffee and simple sandwich too much to ask for at SFO Airport? Apparently. My Americano and breakfast sandwich cost me $ 11. The coffee tasted like water and was weak as hell. I can safely say it was one of the worst coffees I’ve ever had in my life. The breakfast sandwich with sausage was passable, but certainly not worth $ 7.25. It came with a «side of potatoes,» which was essentially a plastic bin filled with soggy flavorless home fries. I took one bite and threw the rest out. The only way Deli Up manages to survive is by monopolizing Terminal 3(it’s the only coffee shop option past security). Starbucks, please get your ass in here.

I landed in Terminal 3 around lunchtime and wanted something simple and satisfying on my way to the BART station. I had noticed Deli Up many times in the past and decided to check it out.(This meant going upstairs inside security instead of after exiting.) I grabbed a Chinese chicken salad from the refrigerator case and ate the salad right at Deli Up. The salad itself was OK, but far from great — most of it seemed to be shredded cabbage. On top were about four or five pieces of chicken; these were fine. I sampled one or two of the dry noodles that came in a plastic container that was inside the clamshell. They tasted like long-neglected cardboard, so the decision to ignore them was easy. There was also a container with salad dressing, which I dumped on top of the cabbage. I should have tasted it first — it was greasy and sweet.(The third ingredient in the dressing was sugar — and remember that ingredients are supposed to be ordered by weight.) Andale and the Japanese place next door would have been better choices. The people running Deli Up seem to be hard-working and well-intentioned. They go out of their way to deal with customers who are unfamiliar with our ways and our language.

Way overpriced. But what isn’t in the airport? Shouldn’t have to take out a 2nd mortgage or give up your first born just to buy a turkey sandwich, a bag of chips and a soda. Since I wasn’t sure about the cuisine on my international flight, I thought I better fill up now and take my chances vs be absolutely starving and not able to consume the flight food.

Wanted a quick bite before my international flight, and didn’t want to pay a fortune for something blah. At the end of the terminal, near my gate was this café. They had a variety of pre-made sandwiches for those on the go, and various salads/pasta salads, and even falafels/hummus plates. They will even make sandwiches for you right then and there for about $ 8 – 10. I decided on a bagel with cream cheese for $ 3.25. However, I do have to agree with a previous person, the bagel was stale and hard. Yuck. But, what to expect from an airport, especially not a chain.

Good place in the International Terminal to get a tasty breakfast or even a sandwich! Got a breakfast sandwich — Bacon, egg, and cheese on an English muffin and a side of breakfast potatoes. They do mic the sandwich to heat it up — but it tasted really yummy! Hit the spot!
