What a disappointment. Poor customer service, no items in stock, and their policy changed about selling logos to apply to uniforms. What a way to stick it to parents– tuition plus hostage to an unfriendly marked up environment. Go privilege!

My blood pressure rises every time I have to go to this place. It’s a pity that my school chooses it as its supplier. The store is a mess; they never have what I need; the lines are long… Complete chaos! The employees are nice enough, but they don’t seem to know much. Try asking the same question to two different employees, and see if you get the same answer.(Not blaming the employees as individuals, but blaming the company.) Add to all that how freaking expensive their stuff is. How this store cornered the market on school uniforms in SF is beyond me. It stinks!!!

Being new to the bay area and school uniform issues I was a bit overwhelmed. When I went to this store I was helped by the manager. She and her staff were very helpful and understanding of my issues. It made the experience easy and now my daughter has a great variety of uniform combinations. Thank you all so much for all your help and patience. I enjoyed my experience.

I was out of town until right before school and had to go today. A somewhat better experience this time – there were more cashiers, but still no one to be found on the floor. The rest of my comments stand.

Poor website. Sizing is utterly unclear and ordering is confusing.

The manager at the 10th Street location in San Francisco was so difficult. She sold us the wrong jacket with logo and refused to give us a refund or exchange. Her reason was, the logo was sewn on the jacket. Don’t all of the jackets have logos already sewn on them? Bad customer service. The girls at the cashier were much nicer and much more helpful, which made my experience better. If you have a complaint or want a refund, call Dennis Uniforms headquarters. They will right the wrong! I was able to get my refund.

Update 07÷28÷11 — I just looked online and discovered that gym shorts are a required item for my son’s uniform which I wasn’t informed about in the store. Once again, very poor customer service! I ordered the shorts online and paid the extra $ 6.95 for shipping instead of having to go back into that store. I still do highly appreciate good customer service. My family and I came into Dennis’ yesterday afternoon at about 4:40pm and granted I know they close at 5pm but you should still be courteous and treat your customers with respect. As we walk through the door, there are 3 ladies standing behind the front counter we get this dirty look from Lady #1, no greeting from Lady #2 and finally Lady #3 says«Hello how can I help you?» I tell her we’re here to buy a full set of uniform for my son and give her the school’s information. She leads us to the back of the store and shows us where to find the PE uniforms. She’s helping us find sizes for the pants, sweatshirts and t-shirts then she all of a sudden disappers. I’m guessing she has more important closing duties than helping us so we look through the uniforms ourselves and find what we need. Great, we need the school uniform next. We had to walk back to the front counter and ask where we can find the rest. She shows us where to find everything and again disappears. While we’re looking for pant sizes the lights in the back of the store turns off. Ok ladies, we get the hint! You getting out of here is more important then your customers. We definitely feel rushed so we’re trying to find everything fast. I walk to the front to ask another question and Lady #3 has us rung up already and tells me my total. I tell her that we’re also purchasing a pair of pants but my son is trying it on. Ohhh, she wasn’t happy! She had to void the transaction, start all over again adn wait for the right size of pants. My son is in the back dressing room in the dark trying to find his right size while everyone’s rushing him and my husband runs the pants up to the front just so she can ring it up. I pay for the uniform and my son comes out of the dressing room with his shoes not even tied from the all the pressure to hurry. We walked out of there at 5pm just in time for their store to close and just in time for the ladies to flee their job. To sum up our experience, they showed awful customer service and rushed the hell out of us while we were tyring to be courteous and hurry to find what we needed but if someone helped us I’m sure we could’ve been out of there sooner. They’re the only store that carries the uniform for my son’s school in the city so we had no choice. My advise to you is to come super early!

I’ve been purchasing my kid’s uniforms from Dennis in SF for the past 5 years. I really like their new location. Better parking and large facility with helpful staff. I’m giving a 5 star review because it’s clean and comfortable with dressing rooms and organized according to style and size! Enjoy shopping at Dennis in SF.

I should start my review by saying that when I went to Dennis Uniforms it was a week before the 1st day of school. I will try NEVER to do that again. It was very busy and the majority of the people didn’t seem very helpful. The gentleman that helped me really was trying his best to help me, but since it was my first time shopping for a catholic school uniform for my child, I didn’t know what was required and what was not. He didn’t seem to be very clear on what was required either. Complaint #1: I was told that a navy P.E. sweatshirt(which matched the navy sweatpants) was mandatory. Since they didn’t have it available in stock, I ordered it. I later discovered it is not only NOT mandatory but it isn’t even used at that school. I have heard similar complaints from other parents who were told they had to buy some other«mandatory» items, such as a dress shirt for church, which isn’t true. Complaint #2: The smallest size sweatpants and sweatshirst were about 2 sizes too big.(I am not exaggerating. Even with the cords tied on the sweatpants as tight as possible, they still fell right off.) After a good deal of going back and forth and practically arguing with several staff members I was finally told they could be special ordered in a size extra, extra small. Complaint #3: When I went back to check on the special ordered sweatshirt, I was told it had shipped(even though I never received it) and that I had to contact the customer service department directly. Their phone number is always busy, there’s no option to leave a message and their website, as far as I can tell is not working…5 weeks later, I still have no sweatshirt, no refund… and am having a heck of a time getting a refund. (The morning I wrote this review I was not able to get through to Dennis Uniforms either by email or by phone. Later in the afternoon I tried again, and was able to talk to a customer service representative who said he would process my refund.) Good things: The clothes seem to be well made. The pants come clean with little or no effort, they have a panel inside the knees so that they don’t wear out and rip so easily, and they’re reasonably priced. My recommendations: If it’s your first time shopping as a parent, make sure you get the specifics from your school in advance about what is required, what is optional, and what, if anything is not used at all.

If you have kids or know of kids who go or have gone to catholic or private school here in the city, chances are they most likely got their uniforms here at Dennis Uniform. What a niche this place has! When you walk in, all you see are racks and racks of school uniforms and accessories. You can also shop at the comfort of your home via online for a premium. The staff here was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what you needed. Just tell em’ the school name and you’re set. They have a laundry list of the must haves and optional items for purchase. Can’t find the size you’re looking for? No worries. They’ll dig in the back stock room and get you what you need. I think it’s a bit expensive, but it’s definitely a worth while investment…
