Love this place. Betty is the best at facials in SF. Feels like home when I come. Also unlike other derms she doesnt pressure you to buy products.
Bottom line this place is worth every penny. My skin wouldnt be where is it today without her!

This review is for eyebrow threading.
Mainly the one star is for the price. $ 41 for getting my eyebrows threaded?! I’ve never ever heard of anything more ridiculous. I’ve paid as little as $ 8 so I really would like to know what that $ 33 differential is for because my eyebrows don’t look the best they’ve looked, and in fact I had to offer suggestions.
I would give the over all cleanliness high marks and the shape of my eyebrows a pass. But for that price, never again or only in the most desperate of circumstances.

I am always hesitant to try any new place for my face but decided to give DermaTouch a try since they’re so close to my house and have very reasonable prices. I couldn’t have been happier!
I went in for the European Facial but realized I really needed major extraction work. She worked on my face for over an hour and a half and all my blackheads were gone. I was left with clear skin and no down time. The women are very sweet and accommodating. It’s so great to have DermaTouch so close to my house — now I don’t have any excuse to neglect my face.

I, too, continue to be a *huge* fan of this place, and of Betty herself.
I have been pretty neglectful of my skin lately– seriously, for the past few MONTHS now, and I finally went back (and got a package deal of 5 treatments for a discount which saves me $ 10/​per treatment or so, to make sure i go more regularly now.)
Usually, I feel *really* bad about not going on a *regular* basis to my hair/​nail/​whatever person, but with Betty, it’s like going back to see a good friend.
As other reviewers have said, she’s not there to sell you a bunch of things and make you feel like you have to buy everything under the sun. (I had to remember to ask her about what I should use between my cleanser and sunblock and got a bottle of reasonably-​priced SkinCeuticals toner– just used it and love it) and she’s thorough thorough THOROUGH in cleaning up the blackheads and whiteheads.
She’s a well trained and very knowledgeable nurse who specializes in skincare, so I really appreciate her feedback on the condition of my skin.
My face feels so much better after my visits with her… and I feel all the more inspired to keep coming back. Somehow, it even appears (to me, anyway) to be ‘lighter’, which is interesting. (I’ll have to ask her about that next time!)
To be sure, weekend appts are easier in terms of parking, but she IS open SEVEN DAYS, so it’s worthwhile making a Tuesday appointment, since she’ll likely be ‘freer’ then!

Ok, I finally went to do a facial and Betty, the owner, gave me the pore treatment for $ 80 where she extracted all the blackheads and whiteheads from my skin. Well, I must say that it was like an hour of pain. But, what is beauty without pain, right?
Anyway, she was thorough, but when I came home that night, I still saw a whitehead on my face… so, she missed one! I thought no big deal… I just picked it myself. Anyhow, Betty is graduated from a nursing degree. She is knowledgeable and friendly. She didn’t try to sell me any of her products. She told me to use whatever I have been using.
It was all good and my face feels smoother. My suggestion is to do the facial on Friday, so you can give your face to heal from the scabbing over the weekend. Don’t go out right after the facial if you don’t want people to see your face looking like pizza!

I really enjoyed going to Dermatouch to get a facial. It had been forever and a day since I had a facial and I came out of their with my skin feeling so great. Betty was great, she spent time to get rid of all the blackheads/​white heads that i had, and also had some great advice on what i could do to maintain and improve my skin. I learned a lot and definently recommend anyone to go here to get a facial.

Betty really works on your whiteheads and blackheads. She spends the time to extract everything. I come out feeling great.
My trick is to come here on a Sunday, when it’s free street parking. You have to come a little early to look for parking though because they are all taken by the people having dim sum or grocery shopping for the day.
Another trick is to give yourself a couple of days to heal after the session because you may have some scabbing from the extraction.

Thank you to the first reviewer! I live very nearby and kept walking by wondering how good this place could be. I finally made an appointment after trying to do my own facial, aka popping a zit, when it went awry and I finally decided to get professional help after reading the first review.
Betty is extremely knowledgeable and is looking out for your skin. She isn’t there to sell you products. I made a last minute deep cleansing facial and after almost 2 hours I came out with CLEAN skin and no redness. Amazing. It does pay to have someone pop your zits for you. No scarring!
The facial was $ 80 but like the other reviewer mentioned there is a deal on all facials by buying a package. I will definitely get a package the next time saving a total of $ 50 (or $ 10 each visit) and treating my skin better.
Betty is the owner and is very invested in her business. I am so happy I found a place I can get good facials by someone who really knows waht she’s doing.
