If you’re heading out to Ocean Beach on a weekend morning, Devil’s Teeth is your first stop. They serve delicious coffees and pastries for very reasonable prices and really put a lot of work into the quality of their products. Maybe a little too much, as the wait for a breakfast sandwich is 25−30mins at 10am on a Saturday. Their cinnamon rolls are phenomenal. No white, goopy frosting, but instead just soft cinnamon gooeyness. They’re really quite filling too — one of these guys is a sufficient breakfast alone. Yogurt parfaits are really good here — you grab a container of plain yogurt from the case and they add fresh banana slices and give you a bag of their house-made granola to add as you eat your way to the bottom of it. They offer $ 1 beignets on Sundays, so you buy a couple to tide yourself over while you wait for your sandwich on the series of wood benches outside.

It is definitely a treat to have a good quality bakery in the deep sunset. They are closed on Tuesday’s so do not come by because you will be disappointed. Nice location easily found on Noriega. Plenty of street parking. If you come during the morning on the weekends then expect to wait in line. Come by after 10:30am or during the week then you wont have to worry about the line. They offer a small selection of breakfast and lunch items. I tried the Special Breakfast Sandwich. The sandwich consisted of scrambled eggs, applewood bacon, avocado, pepper jack cheese, and with lemon-garlic aioli between a buttermilk biscuit.. I am a fan and this was an instant favorite. I am not a pepper jack cheese fan but the ingredients complimented each other very well. Nothing was over powering but was very tasty. The biscuit was nicely toasted on the outside and had a soft flaky interior. They also have a nice and wide selection of baked goods. Definitely something there to satisfy everyone’s sweet craving. I have tried and recommend the Lemon Bar, Brownie, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie, and Chocolate Cake. They also have some seasonal or special baked goods.

So, I should start my review by saying that if it weren’t for the savory menu items that I ordered, I probably would have given this place four stars based on their sweet items: Honestly, maybe my experience with their desserts/pastries was another one of those times where the hype is so great, that I expected a mouthwatering experience, but I was very underwhelmed with what I had ordered. I had gotten their donut muffin, chocolate chip cookie, scone, and a couple of other items. All of them failed to impress me. I have a huge sweet tooth so as it is, my expectations were high and they were most likely set even higher with everything I heard about this place from newsletters, reviews, stories, etc. Don’t get me wrong, they were good, but nothing that I couldn’t have a) made myself at home or b) gotten at some other bakery. HOWEVER, their savory items… WOW oh WOW… I am a huge breakfast person so when I find a breakfast sandwich that literally makes me salivate, I know I am in heaven. Their special breakfast sandwich is what will make me come all the way here from SOMA because it is that good. I thought it would honestly be too much with the amount of ingredients that are in there but shockingly, it worked. Now, I have to warn people that when it is crowded, it can take up to 15 – 20 minutes to get this sandwich so do not come here if you are in a rush. However, if you have the patience, then absolutely get one. I also got the savory muffin. Now I don’t usually like«savory pastries» aka bacon scones, bacon/chive biscuits, ham croissants, but this muffin… AMAZING. I don’t remember what was in it but it was just as good and filling as the breakfast sandwich. Again, not a huge fan of the sweet items, but I will DEFINITELY be coming back for the breakfast sandwich and/or savory muffin!

4 stars for just their special breakfast sandwich and biscuits holding it all together were also very nice. The only con about this place is that it is tiny so it’s not a sit-down type of place. Also, there’s always a line because it’s so small, but nothing too ridiculous because it seems to move pretty quickly. The prices are definitely reasonable so that was definitely a plus. If this was in LA, I would have to stop myself from coming here every morning.

Devil’s Teeth is definitely devilishly delish. The hype is real!!! The breakfast sandwich tastes like heaven… But I’m sure it has the nutrition facts of hell(Devil’s Teeth is such an appropriate name). The ingredients encompass the guiltiest of breakfast comfort foods: — Buttermilk biscuit: Delightfully soft texture and butteriness at Goldilocks level – flavorful without being too rich — Scrambled eggs: As good as gourmet brunch scrambled eggs. I don’t think I can ever go back to those tasteless pre-made egg patties in breakfast sandos at fast food chains — Applewood smoked bacon: Thicker than normal bacon and mildly caramelized. Indulgent. We got the *special* breakfast sammich, which adds: — Pepperjack cheese: Could have used more pepper, but melted cheese always makes breakfast taste better — Avocado: Excellent addition, though with the disappointingly small amount and heterogeneous distribution, only a few bites contain avocado — Lemon-garlic aioli: Omg so good. This is an aioli that compares with upscale restaurants. The zesty drizzle packs a punch and does a good job balancing out the intense biscuityness Delicious and memorable, but the $ 6.75 price tag is pricey especially since it doesn’t include tax. However it’s still somewhat reasonable-ish considering how everything is housemade, and the fact that breakfast sandwiches in bouge SF brunch places can be more expensive, less tasty, and in smaller portions. The bakery features a number of interesting items that look like the playful experiments of a creative and skilled baker: the famous ginormous cinnamon rolls, kale parmesan scones, donut muffins, even a bacon beer cheddar green onion muffin. Oh and they have complimentary dog treats, because it’s SF where there are supposedly more dogs than babies – so of course they would have freebies for dogs but not people. I’m almost glad Devil’s Teeth location in the Outer Sunset is out of the way; otherwise I would be tempted to always come here, and I’d be selling my wallet and my soul to the Devil(‘s Teeth).

Wow. Can you say best breakfast sandwich ever? This tiny little bakery will most likely be PACKED when you arrive, with very little space to wait for your sandwich, so get comfy with the strangers. We came here on a rainy Sunday morning to take advantage of the beignets(Sundays only, $ 1!) We thought we were lucky with no line out the door, but little did we know that everyone else inside was waiting for their food. We ended up having to wait 20 mins for our breakfast sandwich, but it was SOWORTHIT. Trust. Flaky, buttery biscuit holding fluffy eggs, bacon, cheese, avocado, and the best part. CRACKSAUCE. I have no idea what makes up this sauce, but it is absolutely amazing! and really brings the whole sandwich together. I ended up sharing it with Christie L. and it was definitely enough for the both of us since we also got a beignet each. We also tried the kale scone and bacon/cheddar muffin. Both were really good! also very buttery. I liked the kale scone better, but it was a bit heavy. Little pieces were good though! But the one thing you MUST get is definitely the SPECIALBREAKFASTSANDWICH. I wanted to try the cinnamon roll too, but our poor stomachs couldn’t handle it. NEXTTIME! I will be back.
