DNA Pizza

I had a slice of pineapple n ham. Pineapple tasted canned. Crust was underwhelming.

Was so excited this place opened in my neighborhood. It’s the first attempt at a party and late night spot around there but had potential. It needs some changes for me to be supportive for long though. The sandwiches and coffee are great, but the pizza is WAY overpriced. Some pizza ends up being over SEVEN DOLLARS for a small slice! The toppings are great but NOT worth what they’re trying to charge for reheated pizza. Pizza isn’t as good as the random mediocre Polk street pizzarias so idk how they feel OK charging that. That only works on 11^st street because the club has attendees and they get schwasted enough to soften the blow of the $ 7 slice.
Its also not open ²⁴⁄₇. It says so on Unilocal and their signs on the building however there’s some wall paint with the real schedule. It varies a lot and I couldn’t remember it all. Closed on Sundays is all that’s certain.
If they make some changes I’m sure this place will turn around. The club… To be determined

They adjust the prices on what seems to be a case by case basis. The menu on the website says slices range from $ 2-​$ 5 depending on time of day but they tried to charge me $ 6.50 for a single slice of pepperoni ordered at 10:20 pm. Not a fan!

Love DNA Pizza! They offer amazing vegan pizza options including vegan cheese and an assortment of vegetable toppings. The bar is well stocked and they have several beers and IPAs on tap. The pizza is reasonably priced for the location which includes a front restaurant and then a bar in the back along with an open area for dancing or events.

Just had a slice of The Carnivore. While it tasted good, I was also super hungry & nothing else is open late nearby.
I was shocked & amazed at nearly $ 7/​slice!
Holy crap! Even in NYC, it’s not that much, & the slices are huge! (how I miss folding my slice & digging in!)
Anyways, the slice was too small for the price.
The place was busy & draws a younger «after the club» crowd. So if that’s not your thing…
Will I eat there again? If I find myself craving pizza @ midnight. Otherwise, I’ll spend $ 7 on an entire frozen pizza that tastes just as good.

Had a delicious slice of plain Italian pizza. Vegan pizza available 24 hours! Service was quick.

Excited to have 24hr pizza in the neighborhood. Unfortunately it’s connected to the club next door and they were playing happy hardcore so loud I had to yell to order and couldn’t understand the cashier. Went to eat there but had to take it to go noise was overwhelming. Slice was worst I’ve had in the city. Undercooked to the point of raw dough. Had to put it in my own oven to cook to point of edible and even then I ended up throwing it out.

Excited that DNA moves across the street and we are moving HUNGRY. Run across street and no one in line pizza cooked and 5 fresh pies ready looking great. In a hurry thought this is perfect ordered and there was a blank look on the servers face. He turned without saying a word and walked away and I waited and waited and waited and finally I walked back and found him. I shrugged my shoulders… and this is what happened next… a manager came out and explained to me that I arrive exactly at Shift change and they didn’t have a cash drawer ready to go. I thought he also said «comp» due to the 15 plus minute wait… an eternity later he arrives and ask what I wanted. Said 5 pieces of pie no need to warm up and an awkward second asked if I needed a receipt and said no wait i heard «comp» but i handed him my card and he said «ill go ahead an give you 15% off for waiting.» As I was leaving heard the head manager yell. «Never text me when I am in the bathroom unless its a robbery.» I just laughed… with my 5 pieces of pizza at $ 24. Back to apartment and thought «wish i had her number and she was in the bathroom to say bad service bad pizza very expensive i feel like i was robbed. next time ill… nah no next time. Not a good start for an established pizza company…
