This store is out of this world! I was looking for a cute Christmas dress for my daughter and ended up finding that and so much more! The selection is incredible. They have a beautiful layette selection, everyday outfits, and fabulous dresses and formal wear. There are also shoes, bows, and other accessories to go with everything. Genevieve was extremely helpful and so wonderful. She spent over an hour with me finding the perfect pieces and helping with some custom orders. It’s a great store for gifts! I loved this store and can’t wait to go back! This is now my go-to store for all baby and kid clothing!

Sweetest shop on Sacramento street! If you’re looking for the perfect newborn gift, play and swim wear for your own, or a special family portrait outfit you’re in the place! The ladies are all so incredibly helpful. I have had several orders custom made and shipped to the store in time for events or holidays. They have great organic cotton lines and if you’re in need of a bow they have an entire wall full! Every girls dream. Can’t say enough, great boutique!

Best quality sweaters and children clothing I’ve seen in San Francisco with some highly conservative in nature but a lot just plain gorgeous. This is a no price point shopping space so don’t think you’re at Gap Kids, this is only for those who want the best and are ready to commit on that level economically as well.

The girls ladies that worked here helped me find the perfect dress for our daughter’s christening! They have HUGE selection of adorable casual and dressy clothing for kids up to 16. You won’t find a bargain, but you will find the perfect occasion wear or gift. I only wish I could shop here ALL the time. Thanks, Dottie Doolittle!

Super cute children’s boutique. They carry European brands too. Everything is beautifully organized by size and color. They do run out of sizes quickly though. Definitely expensive and more suited for special occasions and gifts.

High marks for their incredible inventory… just a wonderful selection for your baby/child’s milestones. Yes, prices can be on the higher side but to be fair I think they do offer a good range of prices for special yet casual outfits to let’s take baby to the Black & White Ball. And I love that. Minus one star for the service… because while professional felt it was a little chilly/distracted.

Went here for a baby shower gift & we found so much more. Crazzzzzzzzyyyyy cute baby/children boutique. The selection is huge and it’s made up of probably some of the cutest things I’ve ever saw & this is coming from a dude. The staff was cool and not overly friendly. This is so much better than Baby Gap/Gymboree or the other corporate baby/kids clothing chains. @the same time the prices are HOLYBABYJESUS high but this is a San Francisco boutique in Laurel Heights… so it’s expected. You go here to get something special not to stretch your dollar. Will remember this place if I ever decide to have kids or b-days/Xmas.

Major thumbs-up for the wide selection of mix-and-match Zutano — makes shopping for the little ones very easy!

I’m completely a fan of this baby/children clothing boutique! For the first time, I’ve finally come across a store which carries as many clothing items for boys as it does for girls:) They also have a full collection of Petit Bateau which I find is essential in dressing any little boy. They carry all the same brands that you would find at Nordstroms or Bloomingdales, but without the hassle of being in Union Square. The pricing is also about the same as the larger stores, but the staff is completely knowledgeable and helpful in all their brands they carry. I’m looking forward to going back to see what is new and thank you to the staff for letting me know when new stock is due. Love this place!

This store is the bomb for cute baby BOY clothes. I brought a pregnant girl friend here who needed to get inspired after finding out she’s having a boy… and then I couldn’t resist the sales rack in the back to get some more gifts for other friends who’s recently had babies or are expecting(yes I am at that stage in my life). I then signed up for the email list — apparently they have two big sales a year, one is coming up in June. It ain’t cheap here so I need to wait for a sale… but I shall return!

From the minute it opened, I always wanted to be able to buy things for a little girl at Dottie Doolittle. My sister had two boys, so shopped at Young Man’s Fancy. Once in a while one of of my pals’ little girls had a birthday party to which we were invited, and I always went to Dottie Doolittle. Now nephews are grown; one has a little girl whose first birthday is next week. I’ve been to the store twice this week — too many marvelous things to decide. Am going back tomorrow to make the final decision. Can hardly wait — not just for this birthday, but for many more. Great clothes, beautifully made. Expensive? It’s a matter of getting what you pay for. Just wonderful things — now that we don’t have I. Magnin, perhaps the best in town.

It’s a really cute shop for all the preppy(sometimes slightly hip) needs of the spawn of the well-heeled set. The selection of girls clothing far out strips the boys selection. It’s like that everywhere really. It’s not cheap in any sense of the word. But it’s one of the few places that regularly stocks neckties for under 2 boys. What? I needed one for an event. From party to play clothes and a very small assortment of toys, it’s not a bad place to hit if you’ve no idea what to get a young kid.

Oh, the childhood memories of this place! My parents didn’t spoil me too badly(that could be up for debate), but I knew I was always in for a treat when my grandmother brought me here. Its a little girl’s fashion dream. All the pretty(yet expensive) dresses, shoes, headbands, accessories and toys you can think of. She used to spoil the shit out of me. This is where it ALL began, and sadly… the obsession has worsened and now has moved on to Saks, Neiman’s, Tiffany and Bloomy’s. Damn you, grandma!

My experience with Dottie Doolittle started at infancy. As a tiny premature baby, it was one of the few spots in town the stocked things in my size. Fast forward to 6 years old… Saturday mornings at I. Magnin and saturday afternoons at Dottie Doolittle. They had the best European smocked dresses EVER. And still do, for that matter. Hit Dottie Doolittle and you’ll have the most impressive gift outfit at your friend’s baby shower. For the new babies, they carry easy wash cotton stuff(and let’s face it, that’s what moms want) by Zutano, Kissy Kissy and Petit Bateau, along with fancy christening gowns, hand knit sweaters and those fancy outfits they wear one time before they grown out of ‘em. Great toddler stuff too. Babies up to sz 16 for girls and 12 for boys. Too bad they don’t make smocked dresses in my size. My favorite one was pink. With ice cream cones.
