I don’t shop at Abercrombie or Hollister for this reason… not like I’d ever go in there in the first place. I don’t like over priced preppy clothing for one thing. Abercrombie and Hollister are number one offenders of disturbing the peace with their loud, flavour of the month soundtrack. So are a dozen other stores. Am I the only person who gets annoyed when you can hear the music miles away from the store? I’m surprised workers or patrons haven’t filed lawsuits against companies who feel the need to play their music set at eleven. If I wanted to go to a nightclub or a loud bar I’d go to one. I don’t need to hear your music when I go shopping. I know I sound like an old lady who’s gone to far too many concerts but I choose to see live music on a stage not at a clothing store. I just don’t understand the need to be so obnoxious that you have to scream over the music when you’re shopping with a friend. It should be a pleasant experience… remember there’s a time and a place for everything. This ends my rant. Oh and this doesn’t apply to only the shops in San Francisco and suburbia… this applies to every store that blasts music in America and beyond. No wonder everyone’s going deaf at an earlier age. Edit: I’ve noticed the music has gotten significantly quieter(or maybe my hearing is getting worse) but perhaps someone read this review. It’s about time!
