ECR Engineering

Engin was amazing — we were in the middle of a complicated renovation and needed a structural engineer. He was responsive, professional, and cost-​effective. It was the closest we came to an HGTV-​style experience. ;-) Not only will we use his services in the future, we will recommend him to our friends undertaking renovation projects.

Engin w/​ECR Engineering was extremely helpful throughout our renovation process. He was timely and professional and always available throughout our renovation. Engin’s services included providing blueprints and construction drawings, making renovation recommendations, obtaining city building permits, and assistance with passing all inspections by the city. On numerous occasions, I required him to speak w/​my contractor and provide engineering letters and calculations to the city inspector and he was always available and responded promptly. He genuinely cares about his customers and the outcomes of their projects. I highly recommend his services and will definitely contact him if I ever need structural engineering services again.

Awesome company to work with. They went out of their way to answer all of my questions and to make sure that I had all of the info I needed. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a structural engineer.

I’ve had a disastrous renovation at my home, and the contractor has dropped by the ball on many things. I brought in Engin from ECR to help me right the ship by getting building plans approved by the city (after my contractor failed an inspection). He did a speedy and thorough job and a very reasonable price compared to what others were quoting for the same thing.
He also helped me look through my expenses to the contractor and figure out how much I’d been overcharged, and helped me figure out that I didn’t need a bunch of extra work that the contractor said I needed to do! So that saved me a lot of money. Engin has a solid understanding of construction and made me feel better about my entire project. I would use him again in a heartbeat. 5 stars.

Engin did a masterful job with our 4^th floor addition. Our original engineer ran into complications with the lateral load and wanted to reinforce down to the ground level which would have cost a fortune. Engin was referred to us by a neighbor and he was able to solve the problem with ease. I joined him at the building dept when applying for the permit, and he was able to answer their questions and walk thru his engineering calculations with clarity. They tested him on granular details and he passed with flying colors. During construction Engin was consistently available and onsite with the foreman when questions popped-​up. The contractor said we «like working with Engin, he makes the building easy.» Which is what we heard from his other references. He comes from working closely with contractors and designs structures in a straight forward and economical manner saving his clients money. I will use Engin for my future projects and highly recommend him.

We wanted to remove a wall during our kitchen remodel, and Engin provided the necessary engineering plans. He was very friendly and professional. The plans were completed promptly and, at least to my untrained eyes, appeared to be of high quality. Anyway the house didn’t collapse so I guess he knows what he’s doing. Engin also helpfully made himself available during construction when the contractor had a question about the plans — he showed up in person and talked the contractor through the issue. I was very happy with Engin’s work and recommend him highly.

Engin is very professional, and easy to work with. He helped us retrofit my parents’ home. We had no idea of all the codes in San Francisco and the city’s ordinance, and Engin was incredibly knowledgeable, with all of this information, which made the process stress free! He managed the whole process and we are very happy with the final product, and would definitely recommend Engin!
