In 1967 it was called The Rock Garden. The Grateful Dead performed in this building 4 times in 1967. Jerry Garcia’s Mom was in the audience.

this place is called el Tapatio which means someone from Jalisco Mexico but in reality theres nothing Tapatio about it lol. 90 percent of this club caters to Central Americans Salvadorans Hondurans Guatemalans and Nicaraguans. i’ve been coming here for yeas i go occasionally not really my type of crowd as being part Central American Salvadoran i like music From El Salvador and Honduras and when some great bands from these countries come here i usually come check em out i also have seen a few good Colombian bands. this spot is 100 percent Latino spot the crowd can be rough at times but it’s a cool spot to just kick it and listen to some Great Central American Music.

I had a lot of fun. Good music, good lighting, lots of tables and chairs. The live band was really good. One bad thing is that the drinks are too expensive. I’ve only been once but looking forward to go back soon.
