I’ve had the pleasure of taking Lana’s weekly yoga class at Homeless Prenatal Program since I started working there last August. She is a great instructor, and attentive to the needs of her students, which can change from week to week, and takes the pace of each class accordingly(i.e. more active vs more restorative). I’ve suffered from chronic sciatica for 15+ years and since I began taking Lana’s class, I am not only feeling more relaxed, but I’m as pain free as I have ever been. I highly recommend Lana!

Lana is attentive, kind and fun — exactly what a great yoga teacher should be. I took her prenatal class and was pleasantly surprised with how much individual attention Lana showered her students. She encouraged questions and was very knowledgeable in her answers. I would take her classes weekly but unfortunately live on the Peninsula.

I started taking prenatal yoga with Lana when I was 16 weeks along and am still enjoying her classes at nearly nine months. I’ve really enjoyed how she adapts the class to her students. She does a great job of making each student feel important. Each class is different because she is always learning new things to share with us and finding moves that will work best for us as we share our newest aches and pains with her each week. I initially started going to her classes at Divine Essence Yoga solely based on the fact that they were walking distance from my place in Potrero Hill, but now that I live in Berkeley I am more than happy to make the drive each week. I would never have even considered driving to a yoga class in the past, but for Lana’s class it’s well worth it!
