Fox and Moon Tearoom

It was a lovely afternoon at the Fox and Moon Tearoom! Zo is a gracious host, and before long we found ourselves easily engrossed in conversation with the other guests while noshing on the yummy first course of fresh veggies and hummus, pitas and olives. The next course was couscous with two stews; both were delicious. The desserts were so plentiful I declined the chocolate (and that is rare!). She had a homemade lemon cake/​bar I particularly enjoyed.
I am a huge fan of chai, and could easily drink more than my body wants caffeine-​wise. Fabled Lands gives me the best of both worlds as the foundation is rooibos, so I can refill my cup over and over again throughout the meal. My partner really enjoyed the Morrocan mint blend, to which she boosted further with fresh mint.

Wonderful experience. We were introduced to several tasty teas, as much of them as we could possibly drink. We were also treated to a fantastic assortment of sweet and savory nibbles that were paired with the teas. Zo is a charming hostess who will tell you fascinating stories about her travels to Chinese tea plantations if you’d like. If you have the opportunity to have a Fox & Moon tea experience, go for it. You won’t regret it.

Thanks to Fox and Moon, I was introduced to one of the tastiest oolongs I’ve ever sampled (and I’ve spent a considerable amount of time in Taiwan). The Shui Xian Oolong (aka Phoenix Oolong) is a must for oolong-​lovers. F & M carry an excellent variety and the staff are very knowledgable.

My favorite tearoom in San Francisco! The teas from all over the world are the highest quality and the specialty blends are completely unique and taste divine. I like hearing the stories behind these finds and creations too. The cookies are creative and lovely, the candied nuts are super addictive (apparently this is an old family recipe), there were top shelf cheeses, and all other foods taste like they are created from scratch with care. I also like the selection of tea pots, tea pillows, tea sugars, jams, cds, etc. to purchase. The overall ambiance and general taste level is superb. I’d recommend trying the «Fabled Lands» blend, it’s a divine creation.
