Giant Reef Limousine

Three years ago I left a negative review about a bad experience my friends & I had with one particular driver at Giant Reef (I have since deleted).
I received two emails after I wrote my review 3 years ago offering to make-​up for our bad experience. He also informed me that the driver, Alex, who was the cause of our extremely negative experience, had been let go. I was still angry at the time and honestly haven’t really *needed* a car service… until this week.
I work for an attorney in SF and we needed to fly a client in from Germany and make all arrangements for her stay this week. Anyway, I decided to take them up on their offer to make it up to me. Every where else I looked, it was going to be $ 70-​$ 80 to pick up our client from the airport and drop off at her hotel. There were a lot of other costs involved and so I was trying to be as frugal as possible. I called Alex (different Alex, I believe he’s the owner?) and he was very excited to hear from me. He told me they charge about the same for a trip like that but they would do it at no cost.
He provided excellent service, providing me regular updates to my cell phone. Our client emailed me later: «Your choice in the car service was amazing. The young man who picked me up was on-​time, had a sign with my name on it and helped with my wheelchair and luggage.». She’s requested that I arrange a pick-​up through them again for her return flight.
I am very impressed with Giant Reef’s responsiveness and professionalism. They not only offered an apology on behalf of their ex-​employee, they went above & beyond to remedy his mistakes.

I have used Giant Reef Limo a few times and have always been pleased.

I wish I could afford to use this to commute to work everyday.

I used to live in the city and now I’m on the peninsula, and they still charge me the same reasonable fare to SFO. I travel a lot and they always get me there on time and are waiting for me when I get home– it makes the whole thing so much better– I feel like I’m already home when I get in the car.

Limo reeking like pot was the highlight… and the second limo broke down six blocks away from reception… then the owner argued about giving any discount.

I remember a group of us went to a dodger-​Giants game at AT&T park this past season and we were trying to flag down a taxi cab (most of them were empty when we looked inside), but none of them would stop for us. You would think that a taxi cab driver wants a fare for money, right? Wrong. Well after an hour or 2 of trying to flag down a cab, a towncar pulled up and asked if we wanted a ride. The guy was friend and was chatting with us until he dropped us off at our destination. I don’t blame people for using alternatives to taxi cab drivers in the city because they will ignore you.

I bought a Bloomspot deal for stretch limo transport to and from SFO — decided it would be a nice way to start off our honeymoon. It was incredibly tedious to try and book the reservation in the first place. I called 2 – 3 times, left messages each time, but received no return phone call. I finally submitted my reservation online, and the notice said I would be receiving a confirmation as follow-​up. That never came, so I called 2 – 3 additional times and finally got someone to answer the phone, who confirmed my reservation. I put extensive details in my online reservation about the Bloomspot deal and the type of car that I wanted to book.
I spoke with someone from Giant Reef Limo a couple of days before my reservation, who confirmed all the details for the pick-​up. But then the day of, it was not a limo that came to pick us up as ordered — it was a regular town car. So much for a special start to the honeymoon! There was obviously not enough time for them to bring the car we ordered and still make it for our flight. Luckily it was just the two of us, and not an entire group we were planning to fit in the car.
They did bring a limo to pick us up on the way home, but it was 1) late — even though they had my flight info, arrival time, and I had texted them when we were getting off the plane; 2) seemingly from the early ‘90s — a bit run down.
The drivers were both nice, but the challenge of the overall booking process, the mistake in bringing the wrong car after many confirmations, and being late to pick us up from the airport would definitely lead me to go with a different company next time.

Giant reef limo was very very good.
They were very professional, helpful, punctual and fair with their prices.
I would not only use them anytime I will come back to San Francisco but I would totally recommend them.

I have booked a Giant Reef limo a few times and have always have had an great time.
A couple of girlfriends and I were going to see Dolly Parton at the Concord Pavilion. Of course no one wanted to be the DD, and BART after a show is a total buzz killer. I told everyone that we should rent a limo. Everyone was against the thought, until it picked us up!!! Clean! Professional! Let us girls have fun and be silly, while we were safe and taken care of. We ended up having an extra ticket for the show, and asked the driver, Alex, to join us. He said he didn’t really like country music, but why not! We had a great time.
So of course when we planned another girls trip to Reno, Giant Reef Limo was the first person we called. Once again, clean professional, and so nice. In fact, someone in the group gets car sick, ok it’s me, and Alex again, pulled the limo over on the side of the road, and let me get sick. He even held my hair back for me. What a gentlemen!!!
Prices are totally affordable, staff is super polite, and an over all good time. I will be hiring them again in August to pick up my parents from the airport.

My friends and I decided to get a limo for prom and we came across Giant Reef because of it’s low prices so we decided to go with them. It was honestly just a great decision! First, The limo was really nice and clean when we first walked in. Second, our limo driver was so sweet and nice! We would ask him to stop somewhere for our group to take pictures and he would gladly do it with no complaints. He honestly felt like he was part of our prom group! I would totally recommend this service. We liked the limo and our driver so much that we got them again for pick-​up after prom.

I bought a social deal for a round trip ride to and from SFO. I confirmed my SFO pickup 2 hours before I landed. I landed with a text from the driver stating «probably won’t make it in time». I responded that I would wait. The driver replied with «probably be 2 hours». Needless to say the driver didn’t pick us up. After 2 emails, 3 calls to the company… I still have not received a response or a refund. I would highly recommend a more reliable company.
Also, they didn’t take a reservation by the phone. You must reserve online and then they will call you the day before your reservation. All in all a very loosely managed company that lacks customer service and integrity.

Just no-​showed for our bloomspot deal booked two weeks in advance. They did offer to reimburse for a cab, but c’mon. Left us hanging out by the curb until I had to call.

I bought a bloomspot for Giant Reef to take me to and from the airport. Both the going and return trips were perfect for me and my family. We had a ton of suitcases, a stroller and a carseat. Giant Reef was promptly on time going to the airport and coming back from an International flight, they called me while I was in customs indicating they were on stand by to take us home. No complaints from me. And, both drivers were super friendly and got us safely and quickly to and from the airport!

I just got dropped off from my trip home from Mexico. It was great knowing that our transportation was taken care of. Our flight was delayed and they were in constant communication with us so we knew where to meet once we landed since it was going to be different than originally thought.
When we were picked up on our departure round, our driver was on time, he was courteous and seemed to enjoy what he was doing. The car was nice and clean just the way you would expect.
When we arrived back in San Francisco our driver was enthusiastic and again seemed to love what he was doing. The drive was great, the car was again very clean and the music was perfect for the relaxation portion of coming home from vacation.
Great experience from top to bottom. I would recommend these guys to anyone who is looking for an easier way to get to and from SFO.

Mind you, I’m a solo traveler and expecting a sedan service per my bloomspot deal. I am shocked to find myself upgraded to a well stocked and cooled stretcher limo! Alex greeted me with a warm smile and a welcome to San Francisco. Moreover, they have been patient with my delay and appreciate SMS communication. Bloomspot and Giant Reef Limo has not failed to disappoint me. Recently, I hired them for a city transfer from my hotel to TI and it was reasonable.

I recenlty had a great experience with Giant Reef Limousine. I bought a Bloomspot on Wednesday and was able to book an 8 person limo for wine tasting on Saturday of that same week. Alex was very easy to work with and very accommodating with all of our requests. Romolo was a great driver and very flexible with my group & our ever-​changing itinerary.
I highly recommend this limo service for a wine country excursion!

I just used Giant Reef Limo for the first time today and was blown away by the friendly service, prompt pick up and clean car. My friends and I had a great time riding to the Giants game in style and we enjoyed talking to our driver, Mr. Alex. I will definitely be using this company again!

For the limo itself, the radio and tv didn’t work. The glasses were all dirty, though, and there were only 2 bottles of water and 1 bottle of diet pepsi so I was very parched when I got home.
Our driver didn’t know how to get to wineries. And his GPS wasn’t very good. But he was very friendly and always around and took lots of photos of us (at our request) and listened to us get progressively louder and louder as the day wore on. At one point he even came around the car to the tasting room door and brought us an umbrella so we wouldn’t have to walk in the rain A nice touch, but still didn’t make up for us having to give him directions all day.
