Discovered this place when I got off the Glen Park BART station. I got off BART and was heading to one of my favorite restaurants for a friend’s birthday dinner. When I saw the stand I thought it would be nice to get a dozen of flowers for the birthday girl. Asked the nice lady if she have any suggestions and she pointed me to the tulips. I’m certainly a layman when it comes to flowers. Without any knowledge of the meaning of the variety of colors, I stared at those tulips without any idea of what color to get. The nice lady suggested a bright color that represents happiness and I eventually went with the yellow. $ 12 for the dozen tulips. I noticed they also take cards. Prices are ok but this is a flower stand in front of a BART station where customers mostly likely need to pick up something in a hurry like me :) After I paid, the nice lady gave me a card and pen to sign and stapled it to the flowers. My friend was happy with the tulips and did noticed the card! Thanks Glen Park Flower Stand for making my friend happy for her birthday!

Bought a bouquet of lilies for my moms birthday. It cost me $ 15 for a bouquet where I can get them for $ 10. I think it’s kind of pricey. Maybe is due to the fact is right in front of the Bart station. I had to rush there after work bc I thought her flowers would sell out by 6pm but there were still a lot left. She didn’t even give me the powder for the flower. Hope my $ 15 last for few weeks.

What a neighborhood gem. I used to think I had to buy my flowers close to my office on Sansome and Bush and shlep them all the way home(true that place is cheap but their flowers instantly die 5 days later). Then I discovered this gem and I’m not looking back. The proprietor remembers your flower preferences and is always quick to showcase her options among those(like in my case, lilies, and she always has about two or different kinds of them). Hours can seem a bit erratic even though she’s generally M-F 4p-8p and Saturday(I dunno on Saturday but more limited). She will be closed earlier than 8p on weeknights though because once she runs out she closes shop(as she should, duh). Prices are very reasonable, there’s always a great selection and the flowers are fresh and last all week if not longer. The proprietor is always happy to help build a bouquet with you as well. Added bonus, she takes credit cards!

This is what makes San Francisco and Glen Park great. Always friendly and kind. Why would anyone buy flowers at Canyon Markup when we have this charming spot?

I never knew this place existed until a few months ago when I had to go get some flowers for my boyfriend’s aunt and my sister-in-law. I was in the neighborhood and decided to jump out and grab something quick, hoping it wouldn’t cost me an arm + leg. Well… surprise, surprise. The lady was very friendly w/an artistic eye for making the perfect bouquets that are color coordinated for a reasonable price. She also takes her time to make sure that they’re beautifully wrapped. But the best thing is that all her flowers are completely fresh and lasts for quite a while after you take them home. Since then, I’ve always come back. *thumbs up*

One day, I was walking towards the ticket machines for BART and noticed ORANGE lilies. I was in a rush to go to work/school so I couldn’t stop by. The following day, I stopped by and no orange lilies to be found. hm. Since I take BART frequently to work and school, I always walked passed this flower stand. Still no orange lilies. After a few days, I asked the woman who was working there if she had orange lilies, she told me that they’d bloom by tomorrow. So, I gave up. A week or two later, I see orange lilies but I was in a rush to go to Embaracdero for the Peter Pan show. Ate dinner at Osha Thai, stopped by the flower stand before heading to Eggettes. and finally, I got my hands on some orange lilies. I’m simple when it comes to flowers, I love orange roses. But from this woman’s flower stand, it was the first time I ever saw orange lilies. And even when flowers eventually die, I still like getting/buying them and putting them in vases. I like the fact that the woman gave me three lilies but only one just opened but wasn’t fully bloom while the other two were just still buds. She added some other flowers to them. The reason for not giving me full bloom lilies is that once I put them in a vase with water, within the week. I can wake up to them bloomed instead of dead flowers. I will most likely buy more flowers from her. Although flowers are temporary, they’re still beautiful. $ 3 is not that bad either. Edit(Sept 8): I woke up to one of them bloomed! So gorgeous.

Great service and a good selection. The woman is very nice. Support local mom and pops businesses! I love the fact that she is so dedicated and flexible with pricing, catch her on the right day and she can charge only a few bucks for a dozen flowers! She rocks. Bless her heart.

Flowers at Glen Park BART station. This is one of the many great small businesses that make Glen Park special. The woman who runs it is super nice — and her flowers are gorgeous. She always fixes them up to look special.

The flowers are good value for money, but not more than that. They tend to go bad fairly quickly, and I often notice wilted petals or leaves once I get home and see the flowers in better light.

I’m not used to being spoiled, but I had to admit that Mr. Eugene Edward Lee spoils me dearly. I don’t pay attention to monthly anniversaries, but he does. On our 1 month anny, I got flowers. On our 2 month anny, I got flowers. I get little gifts here and there. When he’s in the dog house, I get flowers. Yesterday was our 3 month anniversary. This one I do count. I am obsessed with things in threes. So the 3rd month was very special. The day goes by, no flowers. So when I arrived to Glen Park Station and learned that Eugy would be late picking me up, I hung around this flower shop for a little bit. I found some very small and pretty violet colors flowers(I have no idea what kind they were), so I bought them for myself. $ 8. Not bad at all. This stand has a wonderful and very impressive variety of flowers. The woman running it is very creative and nice. I watched her put together a bouquet for someone. Beautiful. Happy Anniversary to me!
