So pretty now! Thank you Rec and Parks for renovations — and to the folks who worked so hard to upgrade trails throughout the canyon, I give my highest compliments!!! One sad note: the new tennis courts that were built to recreational instead of professional standards were … Well, recreationally fine. How nice it would’ve been to continue enjoying those courts for all the extra months spent destroying and reconstructing them to pro standards. Sure, they’ll be even nicer to play on, but we can’t play at all for many many weeks … And we can’t use that ¼ million dollars to build more courts or playgrounds nearby :-((((

I love this park. It has a nice playground area that is totally fenced in with a gate, and plenty of seating. There’s a rec. center that offers classes and an after school program. Huge play field, and two tennis courts. And, you’re right next to Glen Canyon, which is one of the coolest places in the city. It’s also in a little dip between Sunnyside and Diamond Heights, so it’s a perfect park on windy days. The Glen Canyon trails connect this playground to the playground behind the Diamond Heights Safeway.

It’s not really the playground’s fault, but it can be so cold and foggy here! Small climbing structure, 2 loooong slides, lots of sand. There’s a nice big grassy field for running around, and you’re right next to Glen Park, if the kids are old enough to take a hike.
