Great place for a reasonable priced smog check!
Needed to smog my 1989 Volvo to sell it, and most shops were closed. I am glad that I found this place and the mechanics were prompt, professional and got the job done for $ 60. Perfect! I highly recommend them and thank them for the good experience!

Great place to go! Just went to get my car smogged. It took a while for the 1999 and older cars but luckily my car was newer than 2000 so the process went by faster. Plug in the OBD, let the car idle, and presto! Would come here again for the biannual inspection!

Quick. Easy and Friendly! Rushed to get a Smog Cert last min as I didn’t want to get towed on the streets of SF. They were efficient and not so expensive. I am grateful!

Same folks as over on Irving/​19^th, just a new shop (since the old one has been razed/​built new with a carwash instead).
Nice folks, they ask where you heard of them — if you say Unilocal or «I went to you before on 19^th» or «your website» etc, they give you «special deal», which is the same price for smog+certificate that I paid 2 years ago (had to check my previous Unilocal review to see what I paid). Ok, well this time was $ 50, instead of $ 49.95, but it’s basically the same.
I drove up on Friday at 445pm, and they were done before 5pm. It’s just down the street from Fresh & Easy, so my 13 minute grocery store visit, was apparently longer than it takes to smog my car.

GG Smog moved from their old location at 19^th Ave at Lincoln to this new space. I’ve not had to smog my cars yet so I will talk about my many prior experiences at the old location.
Service is very quick and efficient. I usually get out of there between one to one and a half hours. Once, my car was ready in 20 minutes! Your «mileage will vary» of course. I also try to go on a weekday.
Their regular price for testing plus smog certificate is what you would pay at most other places. But, I never pay the full price. I have always been able to find a discount coupon online whenever I need a smog test. I’ll search on Google (use Yahoo or Bing if you prefer) for their discount coupon. I’ve had good success on
. The local blue envelope mailer from ValPak sometimes has their coupon too. I’ll save it and put it on the refrigerator as someone always seems to need to get their car smogged.
