Excellent sandwiches at reasonable prices! They bake their own bread too! The salads are also good. I have eaten many of the sandwiches here and I have enjoyed them all. I have even catered business meetings through Good Eats and they always do a stellar job. They truly take a lot of care and love in preparing the food.

Great sandwiches. Mediterranean veggie excellent! Pastrami on dutch crunch roll excellent. Side salad a little too vinegary for me but side caeser great. Pleasant employees, self bussing, great location.

This place is awesome. For less than $ 10, you get a delicious sandwich and a side salad. The bread is baked there. The staff is super friendly. It usually isn’t too crowded and there are tables to eat. Anytime I’m looking to meet someone in the FiDi or want a quick lunch, this is my spot. Keep up the great work!

I love this place! It helps that I work in the building right next door, but the prices also make it a great place to frequent. For $ 9, you can get an actual meal(a whole sandwich with a salad) unlike a lot of places in the overpriced FiDi. They are pretty quick too, even when busy. Not a huge space to sit, but I’ve always gotten my food to go. I love this place and their fresh baked rolls!

BESTBREAKFASTBURRITOINTHEFINANCIALDISTRICT. I have a BB addiction and have eaten at places all around the Financial district. This place takes the cake. Also, it’s super reasonably priced and the owner is friendly/appreciative. The secret is to get the chipotle BB and add avocado. Also the sandwiches are bomb!

I work pretty close to here and usually go 3 – 4 times a month for a sausage breakfast burrito if I’m hungry, they’re pretty good and relatively cheap for the area. Tip: Don’t use pennies to pay(they round everything down)

I love Good Eats! I’ve only had their sandwiches so I don’t know about their other food, but the sandwiches are fresh and so delicious! They have a variety of bread to choose from, as well as so many different sandwiches. The side salad is perfect — fresh and not soggy with dressing. Their service is terrific, and they always graciously accommodate my requests for adding/subtracting vegetables from my sandwiches. I go here often!

Although my sandwich is good, the service was gruff and my salad looks anything BUT healthy. Don’t use the word healthy in your café name if you can’t consistently deliver.

Remember I said I would come back to let them redeem themselves and that they did. I got the chicken pesto w/avocado on pumpernickel. Hands down screaming!!! Sooooooo good. And to make things better my sandwich was on the house!!! I’m very happy!!!

Really good sandwich shop. The fresh baked french roll on the chicken sandwiches tops it off!

Best Sandwiches in town. My boss took me here last year and I have been coming back every week. The Wasabi Trio(Pastrami, Turkey and Bacon) is my favorite, but everything is great. They make their bread in house daily.

On a gloomy day, I was really craving something warm and fresh. This little spot is right across the street from where I work and I had passed it many times before so I thought I’d give it a try. Upon entering, the place seemed pretty clean and there was a short line. All good signs. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon. It took about 2 minutes to make, and I heard the microwave(probably for the eggs). After paying 5 bucks, headed back to the office and opened up this much anticipated breakfast burrito. It was flat! It caught me by surprise — I was expecting a round, plump breakfast burrito. It had been put into a panini press. Thus — it’s NOT your traditional breakfast burrito. It consisted of sliced potato, egg, bacon, and some salsa. Not too bad, but I’m not sure I’d go nuts over it. It can probably cure a hangover but I’ve had better. I may come back just to try the regular sandwiches for lunch.

Not a bad spot, but I wasn’t exactly blown away. I came here today on my lunch break and ordered a chicken pesto on French bread with a side of Caesar salad. The spot is nice albeit a little crowded, but from the amount of people coming in and out it looked like a lot of people take it to go(as I was). The guy behind the counter was nice nothing too spectacular, but I got my food pretty fast and was on my way. The salad was actually very fresh and quite good. The sandwich was where I was a bit 50⁄50. It was good, but it wasn’t extraordinary. It was a bit spicy which was unexpected to me but I didn’t feel like there was much taste to it. Overall, this might have been a fluke, but I would be willing to give this spot another chance and try something else!

Great little café with several choices of fresh sandwiches. The bread is freshly made and delicious. Their roasted chicken is very flavorful and moist. I usually go for the Chicken Pesto Basil sandwich, which is loaded with pesto and sun-dried tomatoes. Good place to try if you’re looking for something other than the regular chains.

One of my favorite sandwich spot near work. I especially love their chicken pesto sandwich. There’s something special about the way they season the chicken breast meat that makes it so flavorful. Combine that with the fresh bread they bake daily, it makes for a delicious sandwich! Each order of sandwich also comes with a choice of mixed green or Cesar salad.

Breakfast burritos are BOMB. The end. PS, 4 stars b/c last time I got a BLAT that was way too mayo-generous.

My favorite place to grab a strong cup of joe and sandwiches with fresh-baked bread. I occasionally grab a breakfast burrito, which is only $ 5 bucks but is a lot of food. As for the basics, this place has a food health and safety score of 100!!! Enough said, this place is sparkling, squeaky clean! I have to say, i do appreciate the cleanliness. I think we all seem to forget about this when we don’t actually see the kitchen or see how our food is prepared. So A++ for the score. The owner is super nice and great customer service everytime! As for lunch, I don’t think I can find a place that beats their freshly-baked French bread on their sandwiches. The bread is simply awesome! My personal favorite is their wasabi trio, which comes with their special wasabi sauce. The sandwich is of substantial size, which comes with a side salad, all for $ 9 bucks. An unbeatable deal for lunching in financial district. It’s a small place and usually small line during lunch time. All in all, great place to grab a great sandwich or breakfast for your money.

I always wondered about Good Eats Café, it’s next door from Chez Fayala, and has a solid 4 star review on Unilocal. But Fayala always has a line and has delicious smells wafting from its doors, and after a year of being in the neighborhood I have yet to visit. Today I resolved to get a sandwich at Good Eats, despite very mediocre reviews from my fellow Unilocal friends. The sandwich was traditional but tasty, decently priced, smaller than Miss Tomato/Café Algiers, and felt lighter. I’d recommend to those who are looking for more unique combinations(they have wasabi chicken flavor!), and prefer a less carb-heavy sandwich(their fresh bread is light and fluffy). * PASTRAMIROYALESANDWICH($ 8.70) — 4STARS: Pastrami, sauteed mushrooms, carmalized onion, swiss cheese, lettuce and tomatoes on toasted rye(swapped with the French Roll), add complimentary Caesar Salad. There was a good amount of sliced pastrami, which paired well with the airy bread and bacon — filling and satisfying without weighing you down. They added mayo which overpowered it even though I asked for it «light». Side salad was tiny but a refreshing compliment to the sandwich. Overall, this is a pretty traditional, small, but satisfying sandwich which stands out because of their homemade fresh-baked bread. I prefer a heavier, carbier sandwich(a la Algiers and Tomato) but would definitely return to mix up the routine. Can’t wait to come back and try the breakfast burritos! There’s something lethargic about the operation here. Not that I don’t think the owners are hard-working and proud of their business, but there’s just something that always feels a little tired the few times I’ve come to get a sandwich. Maybe it’s because Good Eats doesn’t attract the lunchtime foot traffic of the battling buffets at Chez Fayala next door or Café Med across the street. It’s a more modest shop serving just sandwiches, salads and wraps, all of which can be found in any number of shops in this part of the FiDi(photo: ). Perhaps the lack of a unique value proposition contributes to my inability to retain a memory of it. I keep forgetting it’s there until I glance up from my iPhone strolling up Pine. I’m usually in a hurry when I come here, not wanting to wait in line at the other more popular spots. I guess it’s like asking the wallflower to dance. Funny thing is that I end up getting the same thing every time, the $ 6.69 Rosemary Cranberry Chicken Salad on Toasted Sourdough(photo: ). It always sounds good to me, and yet when I get back to my desk, I never finish it because they overdo the mayo or underdo the cranberries. Something always feels off about the sandwich. I do like the fact that they offer the option of a Caesar Salad on the side, which of course, I always take. Singularly unmemorable. So why do I come back here? I haven’t the foggiest idea. Creature of habit, I suppose. Maybe I need to try a wrap next time. FOOD — 2 stars… unmemorable sandwich… which I keep ordering again by rote AMBIANCE — 2.5 stars… strangely quiet in here during the lunch hour SERVICE — 2.5 stars… just feels tired in here TOTAL — 2 stars… they need to serve up something people can get excited about
