I dig this store, I’m sorry they are going out of business(leisurely). The guy at the front said theyd stick around for a month or so. I was here earlier in the month and got some novels for 50 cents, and some new hardbound books for 50% off. get in while theyre still here, you can get lots of super cheap, random reading.

I got a Good Housekeeping Annual Recipe Book 1998 for only $ 1.00 (I just cut the sodium content in the recipes by ¾ and Voila! It’s a 2008 recipe book!) An autobiography by Teri Garr, $ 1.00. a simply fabulous gay guide to camp movies again only $ 1.00. Great bargains can be found here.

Great place to get some bargains! Get there while they’re still open, they’re on the verge of closing if the signs out front are telling the truth. Make sure to check out the CDs for sale near the front… They are CHEEEEEAP and I have found some good ones in there.

If you have some time on your hands, stop by this book store. Everything I’ve ever brought was under $ 10. I enjoy taking my time and browsing their collection. its pretty large

A Public Service Message: Green Apple is getting ready to close down this clearance store, so everything is marked down to $ 4.98, and the remainders are another 50% off their lowest price. On a personal note, I’ve never really loved it here. The selection was either too obscure or too general to piqué my interest. I did pick up local media celebrity Brian Copeland’s autobiography here for $ 2, and I ended up loving the book like it was my own sweet child.

Hm… didn’t find anything interesting. The main store is amazing, this one not so much, at least for your typical used bookstore browser.

i love books very unhealthily. i’m one of those people who read three at a time and geek out with lit classes on themes and motifs. i also love adventures, so for me, spending two hours digging through unclassified books other than genre is a dream, but i can totally see how someone with not a lot of patience or an OCD kid might have issues. the used cd room in the back has all your favorite cd’s you didn’t get a chance to buy in between 1992 and 1998. you can walk away from green apple seed with three books and a LP for $ 12, and that’s why i keep going. plus, there’s always a sale on fiction or sections upwards of 30%, which is also not bad. plus, bored at 10PM and want to rifle through some classics? the seed is where it’s at. /nerd

my favorite store in the city for book-like loitering and buying. if you like off-the-wall, they’ve got it, if you are looking for funky new/used art and photog books, they’ve got it. do NOT forget(like I did, for about a year) to actually go UPSTAIRS and see what’s lurking in the stacks. kind of like a library but you can keep the stuff you buy ;-) aces!

If you enter this store, expect to spend a good chunk of time browsing the organized only by genre shelves and shelves of discounted books. These are like the rejects of Green Apple down the street. There are a whole lot of bad books in here, but if you look hard enough, you just might find yourself a must-read. I, unfortunately, did not have the patience to turn my head sideways continuously to read and search through all the available titles. I will try again nonetheless. I did experience a moment of sadness as I looked at the endless shelves of deeply discounted books. Because behind every one of those cheap books was an author who put his/her heart into what they hoped to be a «Great American Novel» and now it sits in a box at Green Apple Seed awaiting genre classification before it’s decided whether or not it should be a $ 1 book or shelved for a bit more. Cest la vie. I’m just editorializing.

OMG. This place has certainly become my favorite bookstore in the city. Ok, so if you have something specific in mind, go to its brother, Green Apple Bookstore, thats 2 blocks down. It’s organized by broad genres… but everything here is always on sale! Fiction books are 2 bucks, nonfiction… 50% off the used $$. I love the feeling of walking through aisles and looking for those«treasures» that you want to read and add to your collection at home. Anyway, I picked up more than 50 bucks of books last week and got my shopping craving out of the way … and probably wont need to go back for awhile. I say. A+!
