Awesome place! The girl that was working there was very helpful and friendly, we chatted so much that I forgot to ask her name. She knew a lot about the products, which was soo helpful to me because I’ve never tried any Green11 products(or the other brands they carry) before. I love the fact that everything can be sold by the ounce because I like to try things out first. There’s no need to commit to a full bottle of something anymore only to be disappointed and obligated to keep in in your cabinet collecting dust. Don’t forget to bring your containers. Great concept for a store!

I have been buying many self care products here for the past 2 years. The prices are excellent, the service friendly and professional. In my opniion, they are doing a great job of keeping less plastic in our landfill and better quality natural products in my home.

I’ve been trying for some time to reduce the amount of trash I produce, but felt very attached to my old brand of shampoo that I’ve used for the last 6 years! I was able to bring in a travel sized shampoo bottle to try the Giovanni Moisturizing shampoo and love the way my hair feels. Glad I won’t be filling up the recycling bin with empty soap and shampoo bottles from now on!

Green 11 is very tiny store with friendly /helpful personal. I love that it is local store and I can reuse my bottles. I found my favorite soap and body lotion here, I usually get them at Whole Foods or Rainbow Store. It is few $ cheaper to refill them in Green 11. It would be nice if Green 11 would have a list of brand names /products /prices per oz available on-line. I see but it is missing products list /prices.

I stumbled upon this store walking to get some gelato. I LOVETHISPLACE. I never have to throw away shampoo, lotions, facial cleaners, liquid detergent(forget costco), or oils. I love their products, zum oil, eczema soap, all by the oz, so I walk out feeling like a million bucks but usually spending 10 bucks. I brought in my pureology shampoo and got the organic stuff for like 4 bucks instead of paying 40 bucks at the salon. I love their green 11 brand of lavendar soaps, and oils, and am a big fan of their baby shampoo, no more Johnson and Johnson chemical crap. Its like a trip out to target but I only spend 10 or 20 bucks and feel so good about not throwing about my old bottles. Staff is super friendly!!! Wooo! And that coffee bar in the back is awesome. Support this place!

I love that I finally have a place to refill my cosmetics! Yah! They have toner and facial moisturizer and cleanser. so excited. Also, I refill shampoo bottles here for my partner, though for me I would rather just buy a gallon and refill it at home(going on 3 years for my shampoo and conditioner). I wish they would sell things like Borax, Washing Soda, and Baking Soda in bulk. They tend to just stick to ‘name brands’ and tend to be heavily supplied on the shampoos, liquid soap, lotions. The coffee shop in the back makes a mean latte too.

A while back, one of my former co-workers was talking about Green 11, but I never got around to going. Wish I went earlier! I finally went in this weekend and they have a pretty large selection of stuff, and the folks who work in there are really friendly and nice. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking to reduce your carbon footprint! I went to the 9th and Irving store, which just opened up 3 months ago. Seriously, just being in the store makes me feel good(and greener)…

As Kermit said«It’s not easy being green» but Green11 sure helps. Reuse your plastic/glass bottles/containers instead of recycle. Green11 gives everyone the opportunity to refill them with eco-brands of body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, detergent, dish soap etc. The products are priced by the ounce so you may buy as much or as little as you want. =) There are currently locations in Now Valley & San Mateo.

Please bookmark this. For your own sake and for the environment’s sake. Green11 is a small store that offers great bargains on green and natural products — ranging from shampoo, to shower gel, to lotion, to handmade bar soap, to kitchen cleaners, to bathroom cleaners, to laundry, to pet supplies and more. All of Green11’s items are free on known harmful ingredients, and as a skin product guru — I can attest that all of their items are great and fine to use on sensitive skin. The most remarkable aspect of Green11 is that they encourage you to recycle and reuse all of the products that you buy from them. You can bring in old containers and bottles and just bring them to Green11 to fill up with whatever product you are interested in purchasing. Dramatically cutting down on all of the waste from over-packaged beauty and household supplies and saving money in the process. Though Green11 may be a slight trek for some people, they’re well worth supporting. The people that work there — have even openly discussed — how they hope that the notion of reusing containers will catch on, and they even welcome competition — since in the end — it only further works towards making the world a better place. Trust.

Green11 carries great eco-brands — Shikai, Biokleen, Ecover, etc — at lower prices than you’ll find online, and far lower prices than you’ll find in other stores in the city. You can pick up an entire gallon of your favorite shower gel or just a few ounces of a hand lotion or dishwasher gel that you want to try out. I’m thrilled that I no longer have to choose between feeling guilty about buying my personal care and cleaning supplies online or at a high mark-up at a store in Cole Valley.
