Called in at noon pleading for a smog check later that same day. The response– «No problem!» And sure enough, i dropped off my car at 4:45 and drove away 20 mins later extremely happy, my PASS smog cert securely in my pocket. Courteous and reliable, Vu should be your #1 choice for smog and all other services (he even offered to top off my oil). The location alone would make the station a smart choice, but there are so many other reasons! Thanks Vu.

I needed to bring my 2006 Prius for a smog check (first time smog for my Prius) so I called the Shell station on 16th and Guerrero. The mechanic said they are able and that they were availabile if I have time to come by. I dropped off my car, walked to Tartine, had a coffee and pastry, walked back (about 30 minutes later) and my car was ready. The mechanic was genuinely friendly. This place is also a quick 5 minute walk to Valencia st. Will return to support this gas and service station again. Fully deserves 5 star rating!

Vu was amazing. I went in for a smog check, and he informed me that the catalytic system was «not ready» and so test could not be done until it was. It was all mumbo jumbo, and thankfully for a small fee he offered to take the car for a day and put it through the paces to fix the problem. He said if he couldn’t he wouldn’t charge me. Next day problem solved, smog check passed and I was on my merry way– stress relieved. Vu had a smile the whole time through. Thanks!

didn’t have an appointment for a smog check — pulled in and was immediately greeted by the nice mechanic — he told me to drive around another 10 minutes to warm up my car a bit more — makes for better testing /​more accurate results — quickly tested the car when I returned and gave me $ 20 off for checking in — smog checking as painless as possible — highly recommended

Stopped by here to get my car smog checked. Vu was extremely friendly from the second I pulled up. Before dropping off the keys, I told him that my car has an after-​market air intake installed, and he decided to quickly take a look with me under the hood to make sure my car wouldn’t fail the visual inspection. I was really appreciative of that, because the last place I had been to failed my car for the visual inspection. Also the service was very quick! I’d definitely come back in the future.

Quick, efficient, inexpensive. Took both my cars there, one is an 88 BMW. Technician advised me to add a higher octane gas and drive it around for a while. Great advice, the old girl passed with flying colors.

Honest, reliable, knowledgeable, and well priced service.
I’ve been bringing my car here since the warranty expired, and Vu and his team have repaired and maintained my car perfectly.
Just today I got it smogged and the price was under $ 70, and it took no time at all.
Best place I know of, and I’ve tried several in the City.
