H. George Tanaka, MD – Glaucoma Specialists

Dr. Tanaka is the best doctor for glaucoma patients. He treats his patients with respect and kindness. He truly cares about his patients. He is the best doctor in his field. If you have guccoma and you want to keep your site Dr. Tanaka is the one for you. Yes there are long waits but it’s because he is the best. I would give him 100 Star review if I could.

I didn’t realize how good I had it with my other eye doctors until I came here. What a joke!
The overall lake of compassion is apparent in most staff members here. You are treated like a specimen. Every detail of care and concern has been overlooked from the cold rooms to the dirty carpet. There is poor communication between staff and patients. For example, it might have been helpful to know that I was going to being dilated for the appointment, or that the appointment time was 2 hours.
Appointment times are a joke. My appointment wait time was 2 months. Ok, no big deal I guess. Then, when I had to make another appointment the receptionist said that I would «have to book 2 separate appointments because my insurance company won’t cover it otherwise and it messes up THEIR appointment system,» whatever that means. I called my insurance company and that was total misinformation. This office would rather inconvenience their patients than get themselves more organized. They also overbook. There must have been three people seen by the same doctor at the same time. The way this office is structured is a total failure. I still don’t know whether I have glaucoma or not.
If you are looking for a friendly and compassionate staff, a feeling that you are being taken care of, and competency you won’t find it here.
