One star. I went there twice to make sure. One on Polk is so much better. I don’t know but the food did not taste as fresh as other locations. I won’t go back there again.

Golf claps and sorority snaps for this local eatery. Great value, especially for the marina. Big plate of solid korean BBQ in the $ 7 ballpark. I had the spicy chicken and it was delicious. The cute little asian owner, at least I think he was the owner, even came out to give me some water and douse my plate with extra sauce. Nice. In a land of waiting for tables and $ 20+ meals, this is a great option for any value conscious individual in the marina area. However, on a more somber note, I would avoid the sprout salad and opt for more rice. Overall, fist pound for my boy Hahn.

TONS of food for the price. I could not believe how large the portions were for 6.95. I had the BBQ chicken and pot stickers and didn’t finish it all. Lunch tomorrow. I have been to fancy gourmet places, and yes, the food does not compare. But the chicken had good flavor and the pot stickers were pot stickers. What else can you say? It was better than anything I would have cooked at home. So when you’re tired and don’t want to go out, this is a great option. Also, they deliver. Not sure if that is advertised, but i stopped to get a menu last night, and then ordered from there tonight. You have to order 3 items to get delivery and you might need to be close(I’m 3 blocks), but the same guy that I got the menu from was the guy that delivered my food tonight. I don’t know if times are tough or what, but I really appreciated the service! Super friendly and not a long wait.

(See pics) Came here after watching the SF Twilight Criterium. Empty around 9pm while other places were still packed… I had the Bi Bim Bop and it was okay, good meat and sauce in good portion but the rice was a bit cold and dry, nothing spectacular but the service was very courteous, thus the extra star.

I’ve known about Hahns from their Jack London venue. I was just waiting for the right time set foot in any of their locations in the city and that time was yesterday. The boy and I had our daily Thursday date night. Since my appointment is just a block away and we were both running low on cash, this was the spot. We came and there were two other people eating in. The place is small, so small that I think my cubicle at work is bigger! Anyway, contrary to what the other reviewers, service was not bad at all. If anything, it was the best one I’ve gotten from any Asian restaurant! The old man was so polite and nice. I ordered the bbq beef and the boy had the bi bim bap beef. The total of our whole meal with two green tea was $ 21+. My food was tasty but the boy didn’t like his food as much. He said that the Oakland venue was tastier. I told him that maybe true, but this place was so much cheaper than Oakland. He just smiled. Over all, the place is small so keep that in mind… food + service + cost = hard to find nowadays!

The only place without a line on a Saturday night. The 7 of us filed in, ordered our grub, and got eatin’. The appetizer combo plate was pretty tasty — those fried mushrooms are stuffed with meat! I totally wanted to order the bi bim bop(haven’t had in about two years), but the rib combo won out. It was all so good — and even better as leftovers the next day! I wouldn’t have picked this spot if it wasn’t for the fact that every other place was packed to the ceiling, but I’m glad I got some korean food from a very friendly Korean man.

I haven’t been to all of the Hahn’s Hibachi locations, but I imagine this one is their smallest restaurant with a total seating capacity of maybe 10. They don’t seem to give as much meat as other Hahn’s used to serve, but the food is generally good. As is a problem with the other Hahn’s locations I’ve visited in the past, their grilled meats always has too much of their sweet, gooey sauce. Except for an occasional take-out I’ve never noticed this restaurant to be very busy so I decided to dine in on an early Sunday evening. Fabulous service! The gentleman that runs the restaurant does everything here. He seats you. He takes your order. He cooks and he serves your food. The menu is pretty familiar to me now. I often order one of the regular BBQ plates. This time it was the BBQ Combo with chicken and pork( ). Most of the dinner plates are served with white rice, a cold bean sprout salad and a green salad. I had some work to take care of on this day and I had skipped lunch so with my stomach grumbling for nearly two hours I added an order of the Chicken Potstickers( ). That’s a lot of food no matter whether you’re hungry or not. It was maybe ten minutes and the potstickers were served followed closely by my dinner plate. The potstickers aren’t the best here, but they’re pretty good when you’re hungry. The skin was kind of doughy, and the filling is a firm chunk of ground chicken with cabbage. A dipping sauce with lots of vinegar accompanies this appetizer. I always enjoy Hahn’s bean sprout salad, and it was nice and cold here. The green salad had a very sweet dressing that was more like a glaze. The chicken portion was very good with three pieces of chicken thigh meat, but the price of pork must have skyrocketed considering how little of it there was on my plate. For how little of it you are served the pork is pretty tasty. It is sliced thin, grilled crispy and it’s very tender.

bleh. i just went there for lunch and it sorta sucked. it was just pretty blah. im used to the korean bar b que in oakland at this place on tele where they cook it at your table and its all delicious and tasty. here, it was cold, the rice was gummy and the chicken was all fatty. i only ate it coz i was hungry. i wont go back.

I went to this place a long while ago and was turned off. I was the only person in line during lunch at that time and my to-go took over 20 mins! They did give a good size portion but it was just okay tasting and over-pricecd. There are plenty of places for better Korean BBQ other than Hanh’s Hibachi.

Niece’s instructor from her final class for the day was cancelled, because the instructor was under the weather. So she called Uncle Matt to picked her up early and took her to lunch. Going to the Marina is not a easy task to find parking, but we were very forutnate to find parking during midday in front with a fleet of delivery trucks on the block. Like most of the Hahn’s in the Bay Area, this one is small as well, with very limited seating, but we were the only ones there to eat during lunchtime, so it is in our favor. Matt ordered the Korean Grilled-Chicken sandwich. The small $ 6.00 sandwich was very tasty and surprisingly filling which hit the spot for Matt. On the other hand, niece had a truck driver-like appetite and ordered the Grilled Pork and Beef Short-rib over a double order of rice. Her monsterous $ 8.00 rice plate combo was very tasty. Our meats were not burnt unlike Matt’s previous visit at another location sometime ago. She was uncontrollable and ate the whole damn thing. That’s my niece, and uncle is proud of her! We left Hahn’s happy, satisfied & our clothes smell like the Korean Barbeque stove.

Don’t let the appearance fool you, Nam cooks up one of the best bargains in the marina. The key here is to go straight for takeout… the restaurant is small, and quite chilly in the winter because of the constant stream of wise marina residents picking up orders to go. My advice is to skip the bbq chicken, and go straight for the spicy chicken. It has a little kick, but not over the top…

This place is small… I mean a NYC Studio is bigger! I was walking by frantically a few weeks ago on Sunday night after going all day without eating and every place had HUGE lines and I was starving and I had a ton of work left to back at home so I needed to grab some food fairly quickly. I remember a few buddies grabbing take-out from here at half-time when they were over to watch a football game but I completely forgot about it… it’s kind of awkwardly located. I definitely wanted something mildly bad for me since I was having a bad day but I didn’t want to go overboard. Vegetarians need not apply(unless you want them fried :)) but each of the main courses do come with a mini salad so they try to give you the illusion of a semi-healthy meal… Regardless the place was empty when I went in and ordered but there was a steady stream of people coming in to pick up to-go orders and then by the time my order was ready(about 10 – 15 min), the place was packed. Overall, the food was okay and I’ll probably go back there again when I’m craving some BBQ.

This place has a good sense of humor — there’s an item on the menu called the Mountain of Meat. Look at THIS menu, folks: It was written by a very insane individual. Don’t be too uptight — the food tastes fine. Grab some for takeout and you’ll be happy and full…

mystery meat topped with even more mysterious«gravy» unlike anything I’ve ever encountered within a 1000 mile radius of Seoul. While the food is certainly not unlikeable the flavor and concept is muddled(hibachi is a japanese word and yet it bills itself as a korean barbeque), but if you’re in the mood for a non-descript mountain-o-meat(I’m not sure who wrote the exuberant prose on the menu, but it’s infinitely more entertaining than the actual food is) this should fit the bill. However, If you’re in the mood for korean food though, I’d stay away… this goes a long way in explaining why the north koreans hate americans so much.

The Marina outlet of the popular local chain. The dining room is tiny with 5 or so tables. I prefer it for takeout, frequently getting the Korean delight, Bi Bim Bap. Inexpensive but not cheap. The staff is pleasant and prompt.
