I bought an Inada Dreamwave from Healthy Life Concepts, from James Wong. It has been an excellent, non-​stressful experience. He took his time to let us try out all massage chairs in his store, with no pressure, while explaining the features there in great detail. We didn’t decide on the spot, he still maintained very nice attitude. Several weeks later, we finally decided to spend the money to buy an Inada, and we went to him.
Even though our house is more than one-​hour drive, James volunteered to come down from San Francisco to advise on unwrapping and installation. His attitude has been consistently helpful.
I would highly recommend James to anyone who is thinking about buying a massage chair.

I stopped by Healthy Life Concepts around this time last year seeking a nice massage chair. James was very welcoming and answered many questions and explained the special features about the massage chairs he had. I visited his shop on more than several occasions to try out the chairs. At the time he had Inada Dreamwave, YuMe, Flex 3S. My heart was pretty much settled for the Flex 3S, but he told me I should wait for the new chair (Daiwa Legacy) that would arrive in several days. Boy am I glad that I listened and waited. The Daiwa Legacy was better overall compared to the Inada chairs. The Daiwa Legacy provided a deeper massage compared to the Inada Dreamwave. The Flex 3S was better than the Legacy for the lower back massage, but the Legacy provided better foot, calf, upper back and shoulder massages. I did not really enjoy the YuMe, but I know some people liked it.
I brought my dad in to try out the chairs. My dad had been in the construction field for over 30 years and had an aching body. The look on his face when he tried the Daiwa Legacy told me this is it. After he tried out the chairs, I asked him which one he liked best and he said the Daiwa Legacy. James helped me finalized the paperwork and even threw in a holiday special discount with white glove delivery. It took about 2 weeks for the chair to be delivered. He and a buddy came to help set everything up. The chair had been used daily for about a year and the quality and durability are still there. 5 stars for James and 5 stars for the chair.

James was very inviting to the store. He allows all of his customers ample time to try out the massage chairs, and he stays engaged in answering questions the whole time. He is very knowledgable on the different models and effects of each. He definitely knows which massage chair caters best to each individual.

My family and I were searching for several months for a massage chair. We visited just about every authorized Inada dealer in the Bay Area, painstakingly comparing prices and discounts. Save your time and money by going straight to Health Life Concepts! Its owner, James, exemplifies customer service. Exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and transparent, he has decades of experience under his belt. In fact, we later found out that James is the only dealer in the area authorized to carry the Inada 3S medical model, which can’t be found even in the larger chain stores.
We ultimately decided on the Inada Sogno Dreamwave after James patiently took us through a guided tour of all the models he carries, including the ones by Panasonic (for which he is also an authorized dealer). The other Unilocal reviewers aren’t kidding when they say he will personally deliver and install the chair himself. Have a can of soda ready for him, and watch him work his magic.
The only thing more comfortable and relaxing than our massage chair were James’s service and the price he gave us. In a word: unbeatable. Don’t be fooled by the modest but quaint appearance of his one-​man showroom. His lower overheard costs mean savings are passed on to customers.
5 stars for the chair, but 6+ stars for James. The chair can apply pressure, but never James. And nothing is more soothing than the satisfaction of buying a great product at the best possible price.

Our family have been shopping for a massage chair for a while and we found James’ shop through Unilocal.We decided to visit as his is the only shop in our area that carried both Panasonic EP MA70 and Inada Sogno Dreamwave, and we were also encouraged by the rave reviews.
The owner, James, was incredibly patient with us as we tried those massage chairs and more, he listened to our concerns very carefully and helped us select one that met our family needs. In the end we bought the Inada 3S, which we weren’t even aware was on the market and have not seen at the other shops. During delivery, James was in touch with status updates and he came to our house personally to help with the delivery.
This shop is truly little & unpretentious and afaik, sells only massage chairs. But the selection he carries is excellent, the customer service is great and the prices are very good. We particularly like the low/​no pressure sales environment, we were there for 2 hours & he did not push a sale on us, his focus was on helping us figure out what we need. As for the chair, we have the Inada 3S for a week now and it is awesome!

It’s been 3 months since we got the Inada YuMe, and, as advertised, it is a great massage chair! It’s been in constant use, nearly every day, and still performs smoothly as the first day we got it. It’s definitely worth every penny.
But what makes this a 5 star review was James’ service… When we showed up at his store, we didn’t get any sales pitch – just plain truth from a guy who knows a lot about massage chairs. He was very patient with us, letting us try all the features of each massage chair on display. We spent over an hour the first time we visited and he didn’t once push us on a sale! When we finally came back to settle on the YuMe, James was extremely flexible with us on the delivery date because our new house was not ready for another 3 months! Lastly, when the day finally came, James personally showed up at our house, assembled the massage chair, and walked us through the features of the chair once again. He spent a good 30 minutes explaining the features while I sat on the chair. I wish James was a car salesman because I would be buying cars from him as well!

We also bought an Inada Sogno from James and was amazed by the service, and even better, the amazing discount off of the retail price that we received. There were only three hardcore chairs in his store, excluding the Sogno, which we had tried somewhere else. James even personally delivered the chair, sans charge, to our house in the East Bay.

We bought an Inada Sogno from James, the owner. He was awesome. He gave us the best chair for the best price and gave us incredible service. Of all the places we visited, he was the most knowledgeable and did not rush us at all. We went to the other major chains in the area and this place gave us the best price. He only sells massage chairs from what I could see. It is a small showroom but it is more than enough to experience the massage chairs. We are loving the chair over in the East bay!
