I don’t like flossing. I know, I’m supposed to do it everyday but I don’t. It just doesn’t come naturally to me, and my teeth and gums are starting to show it. Step in Dr. Helen.
I’m not sure how long its been since my last visit to the dentist, but my mouth was telling me it was time. Dr. Helen came highly recommended through a good friend, so I figured I might as well finally make an appointment. Best decision I’ve made in a long time.
From the moment you step into her clean, modern office you feel comfortable and well cared for. Dr. Helen has a soft touch and a terrific smile and it immediately puts you at ease with the whole process. I could tell she was truly concerned with my health and even cracked a few jokes with me about how long its been since my last visit (sense of humor is crucial for me). She put a very warm human touch, to a process that has always felt very cold and sterile. I highly recommend her for your next checkup no matter where you live, she is worth the trip.
And as per doctors orders, I have been flossing for 5 days straight! I think I’m starting to like it…

8 years. That is the amount of time it had been since my last visit to the dentist. This track record is not a good one I know, but when I came to Dr. Helen, there was no judgment, just a warm smile and a friendly greeting, a clean office and a cheery staff. She professionally took care of the 8 years of professional neglect my teeth had been through, and discovered a previous filling that had fallen out (damn you now and later’s) she was able to fill it and get me on my way all without my needing to schedule another appointment. She was also incredibly helpful in providing recommendations and estimates as to what I can do to achieve my smile goals. Stop looking right now, you’ve just found the best dentist in the greater bay area, Dr. Helen is the one period the end.

Dr. Helen has a very warm, gentle demeanor, and is especially great for someone who doesn’t enjoy going to the dentist. I have a very sensitive mouth, and Dr. Helen is very gentle and conscientious of that fact. Her staff is very welcoming and efficient. I’ve never waited at all for a single appointment. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dentist in the bay area.
