I have found a home. A Dojo is more then a school or a gym it is the house of the way of Karate Do. Sensei Reed runs a great house.
I came to Sensei with a load of baggage, 41 years of learning different styles from Issinryu, Wing Chun, and Tai Chi along with other styles. Sensei Reed made me feel welcome allowing me to learn IOMASDA and making me a much better Martial artist,
I love showing up early and watching him work with the kids classes, The smiles and joy they have in their training is inspiring, and it makes Karate fun again, The kids just love Sensei Reed, and he loves them. I really love the fact he teaches them that their training is for when they are really in danger, not for «Playground Conflicts» and they understand and respect this.
The adults are a dedicated bunch and well rounded in their studies. Sensei Reed makes the class fun for us but never lets us forget the seriousness of leaning a martial art. IOMASDA is a very effective system, and from what i see in my classmates: Creates a well rounded effective Martial artist.
The work out is amazing as well. Doing just Tai Chi I ballooned up from my old «fighting weight’ of 210, up to 250lbs… I am now 50, and am back down to 207lbs, and will shortly be able to do the splits again. I look forward to each class and Sensei Reed has made me feel at home. It is good to have a home again, Sensei Reed’s IOMASDA Dojo.

We went for the defense class. It only became a defense class after we asked for it to. But once we asked, we learned a lot! I had a great time and the sensei was so fun I even tipped him. This place NEEDS a cleaning. To be fair I am a little extra tidy than most, but I could tell it was last vacuumed in 2010.

This school changed my life. no joke. Senei Reed has helped me transform from a withdrawn, cloystered, introverted individual into a happy, confident, outgoing person. It has improved almost every aspect of my life. From being more focused and diciplined in school to extraverted behavior in my work ethic and social life. I started seven years ago and never quit. I have visited some other schools since getting into martials arts and none of them had the one on one personal level of training nor vast amount of knowlage and insight that Sensei Reed is willing to share with you.
This school is great for anything you could need. Whether you want to get in shape, learn to defend yourself, grow as a person, or just have a ton of fun, IOMASDA will provide :)

IOMASDA is a fantastic place to learn karate. The atmosphere is always highly professional and instructors Sensei Reed and his team do a great job of delivering first-​class martial arts instruction to a very wide range of students, both adult and children alike.
The classes cover it all — self-​defense, drills, katas, exercises. Specialized classes are also offered from time to time as well.

I’ve been going here regularly since the start of the year. The chief instructor (Sensei Reed) is excellent and is a lot of fun also. The dojo is low key and quite quaint. Classes have a good atmosphere and this everyone gets to know each other in no time. The adult classes are three times a week, alternating between kihon and kumite, weapons and kata, and ninjitsu and ju-​jitsu. Not that you need to know all that when you start — the classes are structured to provide for novices and experienced students.
