I’ve been told that when it comes to coffee I’m a bit of a hipster. I like to think that this name is being affixed on me because I have been serious about coffee for a long time. And now with the current flux of small, independent roasters, I have gotten even more serious as now you can go someplace and see the love and care they out in their coffee. I also understand that when I’m traveling, I can’t make my usual locally roasted light roast coffee the way I prefer. So I am capable of drinking standard filter coffee. I came here to get coffee based on they small number of good reviews. I was mistaken by that. When I ordered my filter coffee, I see the coffee is labelled«French Roast». No one should serve that style of coffee. They beans are roasted to oblivion and retain no flavor of the bean themselves. Now I’m stuck here drinking a very unpleasant and burnt tasting cup of coffee. The service was super friendly, but there’s a severe lack of coffee knowledge going on. Get any other coffee and people won’t have to dump cream and sugar into it to make it palatable.

I’m not a huge coffee drinker, but when Monday morning hits after too much fun on a Sunday, a large one will be ordered by yours truly. It’s also convenient the location is downstairs from my office. Joe and Phi were super friendly from the get-go. After a couple visits, they began to remember my order and my name, as well! Considering they get pretty busy in the mornings, along with not writing your name on the cups, this was rather impressive. I’m all about trying to support local businesses and it’s easy to want to spend my $$$ here. They’re awfully friendly and are quick with their service. Their breakfast sandwiches(muffin w/sausage, egg & cheese) are on point too!

I can see why some people don’t want others to know about this place! It’s a small and no-frills coffee shop but it has good coffee and other drinks and a very, very friendly staff. It’s tucked away in the SF Chronicle building. I’ve probably passed it dozens of times before I ever knew it was there. It’s a nice change from the very busy and long lines at Blue Bottle or Coffee Bean… and much cheaper too!

Heaven in SF. I’m tempted not to review this place to keep it a secret. However, when you’re tired of getting totally bent over at the food trucks then waiting all day to eat. Poke your head around the corner. You might have a hard time finding it. It is there though. Fresh fruit cups and salads are a great break from grease and carbs too. Not that a breakfast panini doesn’t rock socks. It does!

Friendly as can be, helpful, and thrilled to have your service. It’s a refreshing alternative to the crowded and often rushed service that is so often the norm at the larger coffee companies downtown.

Friendly and personable staff and service is amazing. They sell Spam Musubi’s just FYI Hawaii visitors; it’s so delicious. Breakfast sandwiches are tasty.

Food and drink are just your standard coffee shop, but the service here is awesome. It’s a two person operation and it’s definitely the kind of place where everybody knows your name!
