Jill Jodar

You know when you wake up in the morning and scream at the alarm clock, «Just 5 more minutes» ?!! Well, that’s how I feel every time Jill says, «take your time». That’s fancy salon talk for «you’re done here».
I can’t say enough good things about Jill Jodar. Seriously, no… I mean it. Seriously. The minute I step into her salon, I instantly relax. I want you to hear me when I say that. I literally exhale the minute I smell her candles burning! She is a skincare wizard. I received a gift certificate for her services about a year ago and have never looked back. Jill is so dedicated to her profession and actually interested in what you are doing to your face! She’s available for my many neurotic questions whenever I think one up.
Not to mention– she’s fun and super down to earth. I’ve been known to be a liiiiittle sarcastic, (Me? No. Never.), and she gets me!!!
I literally drive an hour each way to see her because she is THAT GOOD! I could easily call it a day and go to someone closer. No, thank you. Jill is worth every mile driven and every cent spent.

I first saw Jill at Earth and Sky Oasis, her previous spa, and have followed her to her new location on Union Square.
First of all, Jill is such a great and grounded person to receive services from. She has been in her profession for years and her expertise shows. I have been in the salon/​spa biz for 15 years myself and have had many opportunities to receive facials from many professionals in many locations. Jill is the only person who has successfully cleared my adult acne. I have used everything from Differin Gel to Retin A to monthly Sonya Dakar facials (which cost a pretty penny) plus skincare routine. I have used Aveda, I have used physician recommended lines, I have used drug store lines… and I have tanned. Sorry Jill!
On my first visit she gave me the recommendation I needed, and like most clients, I didn’t follow her one direction for over a year. We got my skin pretty clear, but after doing a 3 month cycle of antibiotics and seeing my acne return I just couldn’t take it anymore. I got on good quality probiotics and now I have had no breakouts for over a year!!! WHAT!!! In addition to the skincare line she has me using, my skin is ON POINT! I can go out in public without make-​up (I used to put on make-​up at night before going to bed when I first started living with my bf to hide my acne).
Jill’s new space is so lovely and private. I recommend many of my own clients to go see her and hear rave reviews from them as well. She writes her own skincare blog, takes regular classes, and is constantly developing herserlf and her business.
I am so happy I found Jill!!! You will be too :)

One word to describe Jill and her facials is AMAZING! I found Jill 4 years ago on a trip out to San Francisco, through her rave online reviews with her previous company, and when we were coming back out this trip I told my husband I didn’t care if I did anything else, but I had to have another one of Jills facials! I have had many facials since my last facial 4 years ago and Jills still remains the best I have ever had!
Her products feel and smell amazing! Better yet, she helps formulate them! I have somewhat sensitive/​irritable skin, and her products only make my skin look awesome!
Since I mentioned that she helps formulate her own products, most would probably worry that she would try to push her own product on her clients. It’s the opposite way though! She never even mentioned me buying any of her product, I had to ask her which products of hers she would recommend for my skin!
I can’t say enough good things about Jill and her facials! The list could go on and on.
