I had a photoshoot over the weekend that involved multiple families with kids ranging in age from 3 months to 8 years. I really wanted it to be a fun and relaxing experience for the parents and the kids. A party of sorts, and not just people sitting around waiting for their turn. Part of the relaxing piece for the parents was to have a couple of sitters there to keep an eye on the kids, do arts and crafts (which they provided), play games, be silly, and just let the kids have fun so the parents could have a glass of wine and chat with other adults. It worked out great! Jan and Jessica just knew what to do without me having to give a lot of direction or keep checking in on them. I have worked with kids and families for 25 years, and I knew that these ladies had the «gift» as soon as they walked in the door. The kids had a great time, and the parents got to chill out and enjoy themselves without having to chase after their children the whole time.

Joanna’s Nannies has been a life saver for my husband and I! We needed quite a bit of weekday and weekend care for our newborn daughter in San Francisco. Joanna herself is like the baby whisperer. She also has strict requirements and hand picks + runs full background checks on all of her nannies. Most of them have been working for her for years. We’ve used several different nannies from the service and all are equally sweet and very experienced/​knowledgeable on all things infant/​newborn. You also pay via the company’s online system before each nanny arrives, which makes things really seamless.

Joanna’s Nannies was a lifesaver during a time when I threw out my back and couldn’t lift my infant son. She provided me with a few nannies during this time, all who were very professional and helpful, as well as skilled at interacting with children. I would highly recommend this service to a San Francisco mom who might need a few days of help, or for out of towners who need temporary nannies during a vacation in the Bay Area.

We used Joanna’s nannies for a wedding we were attending in point Reyes. The babysitter was great, she managed two infants (4 months and 8 months) for the afternoon (their fussiest time) and out hen to bed successfully. She was very comfortable and followed our directions to the T (we had a friends mom pop in and she said she was doing amazing). She even managed to give one of the babies a bath before their bedtime. Would definitely use this service again, very trustworthy.

Joanna and her team were absolutely awesome for a large party we threw (30 kids). They took over a room, ran a reliable and safe operation, checking kids in and out and, most importantly of all, had a massive range of games, toys, diversions, etc so that, afterwards, we found the kids had all enjoyed the party a lot. Meanwhile, that allowed their parents to enjoy the main party without worrying about junior. Really great experience in just about every way.
