Stumbled upon this museum quality gallery after eating at Farm: Table on a weekend morning. Thought they were closed, but lo and behold, the bell was answered with a warm greeting and a wonderful tour of the gallery! I must note, that I did end up purchasing the wonderful Noah Buchanan portrait in the window. A professional, top rate gallery. Must see if you love real art… but be warned, the collection and artists are carefully curated. You will be beholden to it!

Although the art here is too rich for my blood I highly enjoyed the Trompe L’Oeil display. I was lucky enough to be invited to the opening of this exhibition and the talent displayed is remarkable and humbling.

A lovely gallery specializing in American contemporary realism. Most everything displayed was elegant and well done. Ring the bell for entry, and spend a little time moving around the rooms looking at stuff. The man at the desk was very helpful, as the artist we were there to view didn’t have anything currently on display. He went to the back and retrieved it all for us. Classy. And because I used the word«classy,» I am clearly not. Didn’t buy anything.

Fantastic collection of paintings by truly talented artists. While 49 and 77 Geary have their own merits, we have bemoaned the lack of contemporary realism and figurative art after visiting those establishments. And in fact, the general state of art in San Francisco. Here is a true art gallery filled with accomplished painters which is a welcome respite. A strict submission policy assures the quality will continue.

if meandering through fine examples of contemporary american realism painting whilst being trailed by a friendly lucas terrier is your thing, it would behoove you to visit this establishment. Given that there are only about 10 major galleries that carry this caliber of realist paintings in the country, and only approximately 30 lucas terriers in the continental united states.. . well you do the math. Even if you like only one of the two aforementioned items, i’d still recommend this place. the artwork is superb, the pence carries the finest selections of trompe l’oeil art created by mankind. bring plenty of visine, as your l’oeil is sure to be tromped.

Man, that Terrier is enough to bring a smile to the saddest child’s face. Just like a ray of sunshine on an otherwise cloudy day. The art is awesome as well. And the staff are super rad.

Wow. When I win the lotto, this will be one of my first stops. They have amazing art in here, particularly the paintings by Anthony Waichulis. It would take several months of my salary to buy one, but the guys who work here still treat me well anyways. They are always incredibly friendly and willing to answer any questions. If you go, make sure you walk through the kitchen(yes, you’re allowed) and see the other huge room of paintings. Incredible. They also have a super friendly resident dog!
