K & H Liquors

A local liquor store near places I hang out in the Mission. Decent prices, ok selection of snacks. The real downside to this place is that homeless locals gather on this corner and are always selling stuff or playing music on the sidewalk begging for money. As long as you’re secure with yourself it’s safe, but these people can be noisy sometimes.
I’ll be back sometime in the next few days…

K & H Liquors has a nice inventory of microbrews, all priced slightly above average.

Scum. Charged me more than the register showed because he was too lazy to count change. This place has been here too long. Time to get rid of the slime. The new Mission deserves more.

Watch out for these guys. They are very sketchy. I bought a 12 pack from them and they had trouble running my credit card (apparently «our machine is down»). So I paid in cash. Then, two days, later, I got a charge for $ 119.85(!) on my credit card, more than 10X the amount I actually paid them in cash.
When I called to ask them to refund the mistake, they told me I would have to go through my credit card company, «there was nothing they could do.» Which sounds pretty sketchy to me.
I would steer clear of this place altogether. The other reviews are pretty horrible as well.

This place is really cool! Cheaper than others and the staff is chill people to talk to. The outside has a lot of homeless people which is not unusual for that type of area; the owner of the store is a family man, his oldest daughter work’s as a cashier sometimes. Great place, cheap stuff

This corner of the Mission is all about sketch and dive. It’s funny how it’s the opposite when you simply walk across the street. Just wanted a quick beverage to go but had to wade through a very interesting cast of characters, some folks off work, some alcoholics, and some who just seem to be casing whatever.

These people (if you can call them that) are nothing but scum. They’re not even worth the shit on the bottom of my shoe. SHAME on you for doing what you did to that poor old woman last night. yeah we saw you throw that bucket of water on her! Guess what? That’s called assault! and I (along with other witnesses) will do everything in our power to bring justice to this poor woman.

If I could give it zero stars I would. A friend of mine saw the guy that worked here throw a bucket of water on a 70 year old homeless woman, effectively knocking her to the ground. Why would anyone be so cold and heartless? Don’t support assholes. Shop elsewhere.

I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE. Last night I saw someone who works here throw a whole bucket of water on an old homeless lady. She had to have been in her 70’s and was using a walker. I walked in to tell the guy what I think of him and when I came out the little old lad fell backwards in the water. I went to pick her up and she looked at me and said «Isn’t that so mean?» I told her yes and made her grab my arms. I was so piss off and helped the old lady to her feet. All the change she had in her pocket was all over the street as was the food that she had clearly picked out of the trash. That is someone’s child and a person none the less… Have A Heart!

They have large bottles of sparkling Calistoga water — just what I was looking for! The guy behind the counter was friendly and nice, as well as the patron who looked like he was just hanging out inside. Great place to grab a drink on the way to BART.

This place is sketchy. The owner throws people out, often for no apparently reason. And yet in spite of that, the customers are mostly the street urchins that hang out on the sidewalk all day.
Despite the nice location, I go out of my way not to go in here.

I, like almost everyone I know in my ‘hood, do not like this place.
Shitty service, high prices.
Lots of other corner stores nearby.
I don’t like the troll-​lady or the toad-​man.
They deal with so much doucheiness all day and night that they think they have carte blanche on douchebagging everyone who walks in.
Hey guess what? I live here. And I’m not a douche. Thanks.
It’s a damn corner store though so this is me wasting my time.

I give this place 5 stars because they sell Andre COLD DUCK!
Andre Cold Duck champagne is hard to find. You usually have to go to the most dangerous parts of town to find a liquor store that carries Cold Duck.
Every since Keenan Ivory Wayans on the TV show ‘In Living Color’ played the character ‘Frenchy’, I’ve been a fan of Cold Duck.
He was an out dated pimp that would show up to really fancy upscale parties with a bottle of Cold Duck.
The character was hilarious!
I actually developed a liking for this cheap burgundy champagne.
Kudos to K & H Liquors for carrying my favorite champagne.

How do I put this lightly? The guy that owns this place is a fucking DICK. The only reason it’s been possible for him to run a successful business with a shitty attitude is because this corner store is in a hot spot and open until 2 AM, REAL time. By contrast, «fake time» denotes the bullshit deviousness that most liquor stores try and pull by setting their clocks forward 15 – 20 minutes which leaves you with the world’s stingiest beer run window ever between getting kicked out of a crappy bar and grabbing a 12-​pack for the road. But what do I know? I don’t actually go to bars anymore. So if dancing at Delirium is your deal then this is the thing that’s stressing you and stressing me out just thinking about all the drunk assholes piling up between you and the front door. Man, Delirium sucks sometimes. But I digress.
The fact that K&H hustles until the very last second of the hour to make a quick buck ends up being rad for you if you’re one of those hardcore laggers who’s always looking around and waiting for so-​and-​so and smoking and eating a dirty dog and never worrying about what’s coming up next. I’m not really one of those people. But if you’re already on the block, then all of the aforementioned tasks can be safely completed at chill-​out-​brah-​mode without resulting in an empty-​handed rest of the evening. Just note that this place is super strict on the cash-​only policy and that 12-​packs of Tecate retail for $ 14, both wack but whatevs, so is your life. Ooooooh!

Props to any Indian (Pakistani?) dude that carries such a wicked collection of tequila and actually knows something about what’s on the shelf.
