If anyone deserves six stars it is Kevin Barry!
The fastest, nicest, easiest and most honest folks. I wish all tradesmen were this good! The world would be a better place.
I used Kevin and his crew to install two aprx. 20′ steel beams in an addition in Bernal Heights.
First of all, they charged $ 2,000. The next bids were 4,000 and then 6,000. So, there’s that.
Second, they came in here wielding (and later welding) these giant 2 ton (or so) beams like they’re as light as a feather. These guys move very fast. Blink and you may miss them. The beam just dangles on these chains. It has to be seen to be believed. They are in and out in well less than an hour, maybe 30 minutes. When they’ve left your beam (s) are welded in place and you wonder what just happened.
Additionally, I called Kevin back months later to ask if they could drill a few holes through the immense steel and he came out immediately and swiftly (again) drilled a few holes (they said they’d drill as many as I needed but I only needed a few) and took off, refusing any payment or tips. I was almost offended at their generosity!
And again — I just called Kevin now, a year later, and asked if he could weld one bolt. He said he’d be here tomorrow and there would be no charge. These guys better accept my tip this time, after all… it’s the holidays.
